This is a high class shoe you can dress up or down. Fit is great and quality of workmanship and materials everything you expect in Allen Edmonds.

Love these shoes! They are solid and comfortable. Look great casual or dressed up.

My first leap of faith to purchasing these "loud" shoes was all worth it. The calf/suede combination look and feel luxurious, I paired these shoes with burgundy flat waxed laces from Kirby Allison's wellington line and added the finishing touch to these shoes. I enjoy them very much when I wear, I even purchased its "bigger" brother Landon Captoe version!

Took a few days to break in, but they become more comfortable with each wearing and look really nice (several comments from random people). They are solid, substantial shoes that I would guess are going to last a long time.

Shoes are well made and wear comfortably right out of the box. Have only gotten more comfortable with time. First time that I've had this finish (waxed suede) and I must say that it works really well with jeans and khakis. Only complaint is that the shoe strings have already broken on both shoes! I replaced with some slightly larger ones that will hopefully hold up better, and I will carry a spare pair of laces on my next trip. First time that I've had shoes with the dainite soles, and they are also wearing well so far. I prefer leather soles on my dress shoes, but the dainite definitely has advantages during the winter and they look fine on casual shoes.

I gotta tell you this is one awesome shoe ! The combination of leather and suede is spot on . The styling is world class and the color choice was perfect . Oh and comfort , this is my favorite AE style , plenty of room and after a few wears your foot fits like a glove as the cork molds to your foot , and the Dainte sole is the bomb ! If you have not purchased an Allen Edmonds shoe you are missing out on the finest American Made shoe handcrafted in Wisconsin ! But don't just take my word go out and find out for yourself !

I purchased these in brown 4 months ago, and I couldn't be more pleased with them. Comfort, support and aesthetic durability. Soles provide both comfort and secure grip.

My Favorite Pair Of Allen Edmonds By Far ! I LOVE everything about this shoe , the look , the quality , the workmanship and most of all the extreme comfort that this shoe offers , this is my favorite style ! And being black with the blue Dainite soles this shoe gets noticed every time I wear them , and that is a lot ! If you have not tried them NOW is the time to give em whirl , I guarantee that you will NOT be unhappy !

I really enjoy these shoes. The fit perfectly and look great. I get a lot of compliments. I can dress them up or down and they work fine.

I have three pairs of the Strandmoks. Two brown, one black, all perfect. They're very comfortable, and stable in all weather. Of course it's awesome to be able to get them wide for my big feet. Easily my favorite shoes.

I now have 3 pair of these (black, brown, nubuck) and there was zero break-in i.e. comfortable from the 1st time I put them on. Well built. Stylish. Can wear with jeans, business casual, or dress. I wore Allen-Edmonds for years when I was working and for whatever reason I migrated to Ecco. I'm now back to Allen-Edmonds 100%.

First, let me just say the obvious that shoes are beautiful. They draw a lot of compliments so be ready for that. From the beautiful cut and handsomely stitched uppers, to the not so subtle good year welting, these shoes are exceptional. Then, there are the contrasting Daynite soles that are as functional as they are eye catching. Yet, they have just enough modesty to fit into nearly every social situation you encounter.

This shoe is simply a work of art. The crackled highlights and unfinished cut leather contrasting against the brown just looks great! AE hit this one out of the park IMHO, and the red Danite is the perfect compliment. It might take a few tries to nail the perfect fit, but customer service is top notch and it's all well worth it in the end. Super easy going for an oxford and a fairly versatile shoe. No complaints here. Great work on this one, AE.
