I disagree so much with those of you who are stating such ultra negative comments. This is my third KAid stand mixer. Had an artisan for over 20 years, replaced with the 8 qt commercial (which is amazing, and being used specifically for gluten free baking), and now this 7 qt Pro. This 7 qt is specifically constructed with all metal gears, a strong motor, and is warranted for 5 years. I have nothing but great things to say about this one and the other stand mixer. Yes, there is a method that needs to be followed in order to get the bowl to "click" into place, both on the sides and in the back (so that bowl is then tightly in place). And you need to follow the information given very clearly in the accompanying manual. My 8 qt also has to follow the steps for attaching the bowl into place, and each clearly states how what you used to do with other mixers, you don't do with either of these since batters, etc. are more thoroughly mixed in less time that what you were used to. For example, dough should be set at no more than a 2. And while I used to love having the tilt head on the Artisan, I much prefer what I have now (bowl lift). This is a matter of preference and comfort level of the user. I've been baking for over 43 years now, so I do have that advantage. So if you are seriously dissatisfied, give KA a call. In the meantime, if you still have the mixer, read in the manual the steps for getting the most use and enjoyment of your mixer. You made a wise and expensive investment, you may as well either return it, or figure out how to best use it. Good luck, and happier baking.

I honestly can't think of another brand to use. KA is the best,

We absolutely love this mixer. It has enough power to do my bread doughs and heavy cookie batches. It's very quiet and has a strong motor! I love the soft start. Zappos was a great place to purchase this from; super fast shipment, good communication, item super well packed. All in all a fabulous purchase.

Ordered this mixer on Thurs, arrived Fri afternoon. Zappos VIP ROCKS and you can't beat the price!!! Mixer is amazing. Makes double batches of Oatmeal Raisin cookies with no problems. My sister was impressed by how quiet it was for a large capacity mixer. This was an upgrade from an 10 year old Kitchenaid Artisan. It is worth every penny!

Love this KitchenAid! It shipped fast and was packaged in the safest manner. Works great for bread, brownies, meat. I use it to grind grains. It's amazing and easy to clean.

Upon receiving this the bowl never connected to the prongs. Also a metal piece in the handle if the bowl litter was totally out. Where is quality control? Before packing no one noticed that the bowl won't attach? I am very disappointed in Kitchen Aid. I've reordered a 6qt pro and giving it one last chance. Will update.

This mixer is a piece of garbage DO NOT waste your money. My sisters went after 6 months and mine went after 5 months with very very little use and no strain the gears are crap Apparently the new company has revamped the mechanism I returned my other when the mixer wouldn't turn and they exchanged it like its a common problem now I'm making icing no strain and the mixer goes customer support is a bunch of morons I will never buy a KitchenAid product and I will let everyone know my feelings. I'm 60 years old and not new to mixers I have never owned such a piece of garbage. Stay away!
