After researching a lot of boots for farming I ordered both Aigle Aiglentine & LeChameau Country LD. I'm keeping the Aiglentine. Rubber: The rubber on the Aigle is softer & stretchy, which is more comfortable on my feet. They do flop a bit on my calves when I walk, but not to an annoying extent. It's not thin, these are just the qualities of natural rubber, and I actually appreciate that they seem like a natural product and not plastic. The LeChameau rubber is likely a bit tougher if you hit barbed wire, but it's stiff enough that when I crouch down it digs into my ankles. Lining: The Aigle lining is a thick smooth wetsuit-type material which seems sturdy and makes them very easy to pull on/off. I think it will be fine if it gets wet. The LeChameau lining is a thin woven cotton/poly that was already beginning to pill just from trying them on, and created friction when pulling on/off...I can't imagine will hold up with use. Tread: The lug tread on the LeChameau is a bit heftier than the Aigle, but the tread material on the Aigle feels sturdier and seems like it will wear more slowly. Fit: The calf-cinch on the Aigle is helpfully adjustable while the LeChameau is just decorative and not functional. Manufacture: Finally, the Aigle are proudly stamped "made in France" while the hangtag on the LeChameau says "made in Morocco." Size: Size-wise the Aigle size 40 seems the equivalent of LeChameau 41. The Aigle is very slightly narrow but the rubber is so stretchy that it's perfectly comfortable, and I don't think the stretch is putting any strain on the construction. If you want to add arch supports or go wider, I'd order a size up on the Aigle.

I am currently on the hunt for a new pair of rain boots. These Aigles are beautiful - top quality, stylish (for rain boots). The sole seems very comfortable for walking distances. However, the shaft of these boots is just too tall for me (I am 5'2") and cuts into my upper leg when I sit. I am so sad! If you are taller, these boots should be just fine. As for me, I am going to head over to the kid's Aigle section and hope they have something there of the same beautiful quality with a shorter shaft.

I LOVE these boots! I am a birder and am constantly tromping through marshes, fields and wet woods--especially this year. We've had the wettest spring and summer I can remember. I suffered through 2 years wearing some insulated boots I got at a hunting supplier. The women's boots only came mid-calf (Why?), they were very heavy, only came in camo, and started cracking after only a year of limited use. I decided to look further. The Aigles caught my eye immediately for their full-shaft length, trim lines and large assortment of beautiful colors. My legs are trim from running, and I hate boots that fit too wide and floppy around my calves. When the boots arrived, I could not believe how perfect they were. I wear a Euro 37 and my feet slipped in like a whisper. I can wear them with or without socks and they remain secure and comfortable at all times. They fit close to my calves for the look I prefer, but they still fit over straight-cut jeans. They are unbelievably soft and supple, but have shown no signs of wear or cracking--even though I have worn them almost daily under rugged conditions for almost 7 months. I bought the purple and have received many compliments. Yes, they're expensive, but sometimes you really do get what you pay for!

The best boots ever! I go through boots very quickly on my farm, and these babies are built to last. They're also very comfortable...and chic as well. Bingo!

I love these boots. The materials and construction are top end. They're very comfortable and look amazing. One negative: I wore them with a pair of leggings and short socks on a warmer day and boy were they hot. I also own a pair of Hunters and these are sturdier, and absolutely no comparison to a pair of Steve Madden rain boots that I had - so much better.

I waited 2½ years before leaving my feedback for these boots to make sure they held up the way I hoped they would, and they did. I am an organic farmer and I typically go through rubber boots every four months. I knew that I needed to spend more money and get a pair of boots that would not split on me mid season every year. After doing extensive research I decided to go with the Aigles and I am so glad I did. These boots look and feel brand new after 2½ years of wear and tear. Well worth the price. They are stylish and functional.

These boots look and feel great. I'm upset that I have to return them because they are really big on me. I wear a 4.5 in Naturalizer and ordered the 35 (US 4.5 to 5) and these boots just fall of off me. The quality and feel of the rubber is great! There is one thing that bothered me, the company uses plastic tag that goes through the boot and puts a hole in the boot, to affix the price tag. If I pay this much for a pair of shoes, I wouldn't want any holes, no matter the size or location of the hole. The hole is tiny and towards the top of one boot. Maybe I'm just being too picky, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I bought the fur version that keep my feet warm during winter, they are well made and so comfortable to walk around. My size is 7.5 and 37 fits me perfectly. I'm using those as my snow boots, very stylish and practical.

I love these boots! They are stylish and practical. I was hesitant to buy them because they are so pricey, but after reading reviews for similar boots in different brands I thought this was the safer bet. I'm not sorry I chose these! So far I've worn them while doing some muddy gardening and shopping in the rain. I can easily fit a fleece sock in them so I plan to wear them in the snow too. I wear a 7 1/2 and got the 38 and I think they fit perfectly.

I love this boot and would really like to keep it, but I'm need a half size larger and it has been out of stock for 6 months. The purple is a great color and the soles were more cushiony than the Hunter boots I ordered with these. I'm very sad I'll be returning them.

I tried other brands and struggled with them being either too big in the foot or too hard to slide on and off. The Aigle is a great fit. I wear a 6.5-7 US and got the 37. They look great and are well constructed so I can wear for fashion or for sloshing around.

I got these Aigle Aiglentine rubber boots in a size 40. I was looking for a vegan rubber boot and this is it. I called the Aigle customer service and spoke to Olivier who assured me this boot was vegan, that the vulcanization process did not involve the use of animal products. I like the fit and the style of these boots, classic and simple. I was drawn to this color and it is a true purple. The size was right as I wear a size 9 and tend to like size 9.5 for comfort, this boot fits both and doesn't feel big. The sole support is great, and it keeps the rain out. I have worn it with leggings and pants. I highly recommend these boots.

These boots are so comfortable, very stable when walking the shallow rock bottom river nearby. I wear socks for extra comfort. They slip on easily, perfect for my wide foot. Also great for outside chores in mucky weather, perfect for our mild central TX winters. This is my first pair of Aigle boots.

This is my first pair of rain boots. Some people say the size is a little bit large. I usually wear 8, so I got 8 for this as well. It fits really well. It will not be too small or tight even if I wear a pair of thick socks. It's comfortable. I wanted to get Hunter before I think of AIGLE boots. People say AIGLE boots are softer than Hunter and that's why I get this. This pair is really good.

Perfect boot to splash through puddles, stay dry in southern downpours, and walk in the muck. Stylish shape, lovely olive color, and comfortable for wider feet. I am a size 41-42 with a 15" calf and the 41 fit perfect; leggings, jeans and thick socks all fit in the boot just fine. All over a dependable, well made, and classic rain boot.

I ordered half a size up as usual with flat shoes and boots. These were too short. I will try one full size up.

These are wider than most rain boots (say from Target). However, there's no room to tuck in jeans! Leggings would work. I've never had a problem with room and my calves. Very comfortable other than that and they look gorgeous.

I love these boots. My other similar type of boots always split or discolor. The quality of this boot is great and I plan to have them for years! Perfect rain boots.

I normally wear size 6.5 or 7, so I ordered the 37 since some reviews say it runs narrow. Not the case for me. These are way too wide for me around the ankle, which they literally falls off as soon as I lift my foot off the ground. So I tried to exchange for a 36 and the footbed was too small but the ankle area was still very very loose for me. So sad - love the Eggplant color but these are just not for me.

Wanted to love and keep, but way to roomy inside. I have a medium width foot and even with thick socks my foot slid around inside. Just wouldn't be comfortable for longer walks - and for the money they need to be perfect. Very cute and well made, but not for me.

I have to agree with a previous user, I'm not sure how most people would be able to put pants/jeans into these boots. Skinny jeans tucked into boots is a style I wear frequently and don't usually have trouble but this calf is so slim that it was difficult to tuck pants into them. I like it otherwise (it is pretty tall) but I have to return it since I would really only have one pair of pants I could wear it with.

Way too narrow for my calves. And I consider myself to have average sized calves. Super cute, and well made boot though.

I was looking for a high quality rubber boot that would be lighter than my Muck boots for daily walking and chores. Unfortunately the Aigle's are wide and sloppy on me. I tried two sizes, but neither was right for me. They are well made boots, just not something I could wear comfortably for walking or chores in the wet weather.

I have wide calves, so I was excited to get a boot with adjustable width. Sadly, even after taking out the buckle, the top of the boot was way too tight while the ankle and foot have far too much room. Good quality though. It seems to be built really well. Sadly, they have to go back.
