Can't go wrong with Tumi. I purchased this because I was so impressed with a Tumi bag I had purchased. This is a great umbrella, large, lets the wind pass, and the auto feature is cool.

Sturdy and well built umbrella. I used it on a recent trip to Vancouver where it rained every minute of every day I was there. This umbrella really held up to the wind and the rain. It's a bit big but I didn't mind. It would be a perfect umbrella for a couple - easily getting 2 persons under it, for sure. The handle is rubber coated and very non-slip. The umbrella is bulky when folded and slightly heavy too. Other than that, very happy with it.

I bought this because I needed a good umbrella for New York City life. I was tired of the cheap umbrellas breaking all the time and thought for sure the Tumi would be an excellent quality. Wow was I disappointed. The first one I received broke almost immediately with the first gust of wind that hit it. This umbrella has the vent layers and is supposed to be able to handle the wind, but it definitely cannot. I travel a great deal and so when I got back to New York and went to the local Tumi store I had almost missed the warranty. Fortunately there was a great manager who replaced the umbrella. Not soon after the same thing happened to the replacement umbrella. I am not returning it because he said it would now have to be repaired. This is way too much bother to have to go through for an umbrella. I don't fully trust it will ever be right and I definitely am not paying any more money into this really low quality umbrella. I am just waiting until it completely breaks down and then I'll go back to a Totes or some other company that actually knows how to make umbrellas. Tumi is great with other stuff although quality has progressively gone down over the years. I suggest they only offer products that they can guarantee the quality of as it bears the Tumi brand name. Used to be able to trust it completely.

Great umbrella. It’s a bit pricey but worth it for Tumi quality. Compact and easy to carry, but still has a huge canopy for a lot of coverage unlike most portable umbrellas. I have two of them and will buy more in the future if needed.
