These tights are worth every penny, although you used to be able to buy something similar from Danskin or Capezio for much less many decades ago. These are high quality, meticulously-crafted matte tights with ample stretch. The fabric feels divinly soft but substantial. The crotch is cotton-covered. For my hight (5') and weight (100 lbs) I ordered the Small, even though the X-Small was also recommended. The fit of the slightly larger size is perfect, not sloppy (not even around the ankles), and not binding at all. I expect them to last for years. This is my second pair. Like I said, well worth the "investment."

I can't tell you about the overall garment (Wolford Matte Opaque 80 Tights), nor their comfort or fit because I returned them immediately after I unpacked the Zappos shipping box and discovered that the tights were not in their original sealed packaging and the waist band looked slightly stretched out. This is an intimate garment, for heaven's sake. They should NOT be resold after being (apparently) tried on!!!!

Beautiful, durable, highly matte stockings for winter. (I have purchased these before from another source.) However, the stockings that Zappos sent to me arrived in a plastic sack, (no label, not sealed) that was NOT the original manufacturer's original packaging--so back they went. That was not sanitary for an intimate garment! Zappos was very cooperative about accepting this return.
