Customer Reviews Scarpa Instinct VS

Scarpa has a sizing chart on their site which turned out to be perfect. The shoes are tight to start, and reportedly they take a while to break in. I've worn enough climbing shoes to know that these will break in just fine. I've worn the Instinct S and got these because I wanted the Velcro strap to tighten them up (the S's would slip on heel hooks). I've only worn the shoes at the gym twice so far but was able to wear them for 1.5 hours without excessive pain. In a month or so, I'm betting I'll be able to wear them all day. Performance is what you'd expect. The rubber is sticky and they edge well. The top patch is ridiculously large and perfect for toe hooks. I haven't smeared too much with them yet but the S's did fine in that regard and I expect no less from the VS's. It isn't C4 rubber, but it is pretty good.
