My previous Lowa hiking boots, similar to this model, were comfortable from the day one. However, this model was not available in narrow width, so I tried medium. Those of you with narrow feet know this will not work so I am returning these boots. Another note on sizing: order the same size in European sizing, not US sizing, as the size tables are different. For example my previous boots were 8.5, European size 41. I ended up with a different model in narrow, size 9.0, European size 41.

My name is Timothy McLeod ,and I purchased these boots for my daughter Lauren. Your customer service is impeccable. I called customer service and she handled my purchase from start to finish, so easy. I didn't have to ask how long it would take because she told me I would have them the next day, and low and behold at 7:15 the next day there they were.My daughter was looking at boots on line not knowing about quality. She told me her size, eight, and I wanted to get her something special, because her birthday is Dec 21st,and I didn't want her to feel cheated being so close to Christmas. The Lowa Tibet GTX fit her perfect. Thank you for making me a hero with my daughter Lauren. I will always do my business with Zappos!

This is the second pair of Lowa boots that I've purchased. My fuzzy friend decided to eat my last pair or they would still be my go-to boots. They are overkill for the kind of hiking I do, but well worth the tiny bit of extra weight and the price for the amount of support they offer. Fit great straight out of the box, zero break in time. Well worth the price!

Lowa hiking boots are the best; I usually buy Renegade but tried the Tibet this time. Usually their boots have a wide toe box (I have a regular size 8 foot but prefer a little space when hiking) but the Tibet is not as wide as the Renegade. Fits comfortably and true to size. This is a serious hiking boot and gorgeous as well but I opted to return to the Renegade for the larger toe box.

Most of the hike I was impressed by these boots. I have nerve damage from breaking my foot and while I love hiking, it can cause a lot of pain and most shoes lack proper ankle support. These boots are heavier, but I didn't mind since my ankle and foot felt much better in comparison. I had my laces tied very tightly and secure to prevent stepping on them or catching on anything. Toward the end of my hike, I was walking slowly on a slight downhill slope on pavement. The hooks at the top of these boots do stick out, but I managed to make it most of the hike with no problem. Until they caught each other and I face planted on the pavement. I broke half of a tooth, bruised and scraped my palms, and hurt my knee so badly it's been difficult to walk at all for a couple of days. Hooks catching each other seems to be a common design flaw on various other brands' hiking boots and it was unfortunately a problem here and I found out in an incredibly painful way.
I'm incredibly disappointed to spend so much money and I can't return so I now I have an unbelievably expensive pair of boots that I won't ever wear again.
