Finally! These shoes are absolutely unlike anything I've ever ran on. This is the first review I've ever done on Zappos. I've gone through Brooks, New Balance, Asics, Nikes, Mizuno, and Saucony...nothing compares to these. I know every runner is different ad these may be a bit bulky for some runners but for me they are a game changer. I could tell this morning before I went on a run, just walking in them through the house they were different than anything I'd worn before. I weigh about 185lbs. and am 5' 10" at 39 years of age. I've been running recreationally since age 25. I ran a couple full marathons in my 20's and about 18 half marathons in my 30's. I'm not a fast runner but posted a PR this year in a half of 1:46:40. Normally I run about a 2hr half. I work on technique but really I'm not thin and tend to run heavy. These shoes really give my feet incredible support and the return puts a spring in my strides. I was apprehensive about buying them because they really aren't my style and they are pretty darn expensive. However, I'm very pleased I was able to give them a try. Without Zappos' incredible return policy I probably would have never bought them. These are one set of sneakers I won't be returning. Looking forward to putting 100's of miles on these kicks. Do yourself a favor and give these shoes a test drive. Oh, and I wear size 10 but after reading the reviews I bought 9.5. They absolutely run a half size big. The 9.5's are perfect.

Very comfortable but note the size on the site seems off. Says Men's 10/Women's 11 but seems a little large. I am returning them and getting the Men's 9.5. Little I tried them out around the house they seem so comfortable, can't wait to get the right size!

I have been a fan of Newton shoes for a good while. I put hundreds of miles on my Distancias, but I started just getting tired joints and tendons. These shoes are amazing. I actually bought them, put three miles on them, and ran a half marathon race. No issues. I am now a maximalist.

Love, love, love these shoes! I will never run in anything else! I was running in the minimalist Inov-8 Bare 135's, but as my mileage racked up, the Inov-8's just weren't enough shoe for my feet. I bought these and instantly fell in love. First run was incredible and so was the second run and the third, etc... They increase my pace and I can run for hours. No leg fatigue, my feet feel great (I have high arches and these shoes hold me up and support my arches very well). They look as though they might feel clunky, but they are so lightweight, you forget that they have so much sole. They do exactly what the company claims on their website and I am extremely impressed. EXTREMELY IMPRESSED! Again, I will NEVER RUN IN ANYTHING ELSE!

First of all, I am a woman with uncommonly large wide feet, and I have never put my feet into more comfortable sneakers! They are very lightweight, and have lots of breathing holes so your feet never get too hot. They are good for walking, long distance driving, and they help to eliminate leg fatigue for those of us with knee problems. I never got this comfort with Nikes (and I loved Nikes).

Have struggled over the years with shin splints and even tibial stress fractures from running. I have finally found a super cushion shoe that allows me to run and results in less stress to my muscle and overall body pounding of running. I have used these for a sprint triathlon, 1/2 Ironman triathlon, half-marathon, and am currently planning on running my first ultra marathon fall of 2014, a 50K. Absolutely love these shoes. I have already ordered a pair of the Hoka Mafate 3 to rotate into my running schedule. Cushioning is great, width is fine but seems to be a little wide initially, but after I get warmed up and my feet slight swell up, the fit is good. I have had issues sometimes with Plantar fasciaitis, so I have replace the insoles with something more supportive for my personal arch type. Otherwise great shoe! I run on the road, treadmill, and a lot of trail running in my use of these shoes.

These are amazing shoes. I can go for hours without any fatigue. The platform flanges enough that you do not need to worry about rolling an ankle or stepping funny. If your legs are destroyed after distance running on pavement, give these original maximalists a try. They are a bit tight in the toe box.

Awesome shoe that has rekindled my love for running after 40 years on the road. No more aches and pains after running. Great durability and fit is perfect. Toe box is nice and roomy. Best shoe ever and I've tried everyone of them! My old tired legs have found the Fountain of Youth!

Wow, wow, wow. I can't say enough about these shoes, did I say WOW? They are so light weight and as the reviews say, they are extremely well cushioned. The design of the shoe has helped me be a midfoot to forefoot striker and not a heel striker. I have better form now with the Bondi 2's and the rotation through the toe off is excellent. My calf muscles have been a little sore since switching to these shoes but not a big issue. I have noticed my time has gone down on both long and short runs with these shoes.I don't know how to explain it but I find myself running a faster pace without realizing I'm doing it. I think it's due to the lightness of the shoes and the low heel to forefoot drop which promotes better form which helps me run smoother and more effortless than before. All the reviews I read before buying my first pair of Hoka's were all positive and I based my decision on that and it paid off. I am 6'0" and weigh 196, so I need all the cushion I can get and these fit the bill for me. I personally like the Bondi 2 looks best but that's just my preference, I have had several comments on them so far. I have been a Asics Nimbus fan for years but I am now a Hoka Bondi 2 fan for sure. I can't say enough about Zappos, great service as always, good job Zappos.

Training to run my next marathon I was having problems with foot and knee pain and I decided to try these shoes after seeing them recommended by a number of ultra-runners, who run a lot farther than me. They have pretty much solved my problems. I feel good even after long training runs thanks to the design and ample padding. Even with that padding, I think their low heel-to-toe ratio still encourages an efficient mid-foot landing. I'm sold for long training runs and will likely run the race in them as well. They may not be the sexiest looking running shoes out there, but they're the most comfortable I've tried.

The best running shoe ever. I am normally an Asics running shoe guy, but I decided to give the Hoka a try after reading a review in a magazine. The shoe is awesome due to the extra cushion. My knees aren't shot after running anymore.

Nothing is for everyone, but as far as I'm concerned these are by far the most comfortable and the ugliest shoes I've ever owned. Why they are so great is hard to describe. They were recommended to me by a US Winter Paralympic coach, who made me put them on and run a 5k. Even though they were broken in by him, they were still fantastic! In fact they were so fantastic that my company started awarding them to good clients and prospects in substitute for a rich, fattening, expensive meal at famous steakhouses. We just get their shoe size and as a Zappos VIP customer, the shoes are delivered overnight, and if they don't fit, there is no return shipping cost. So far we've purchased 13 pairs of Hoka One Ones. One of the best and most unique marketing/promo ideas I've EVER had.

Great shoes! I order these for my boss every 3 months and he swears by them. He runs approximately 7 miles a day. His other running shoes were causing some back issues (I know I cannot make medical claims) and he thinks this has helped with the impact. They are sometime hard to find in his size.

These are the best tennis shoes I have ever owned. They are also the most comfortable. They are light and yet extremely durable.

These are amazing! I've suffered severe plantar fasciitis. I love running, and these are light and like running on pillows. I wish they made a 10 1/2 in women. I'm 5'11 and I had to buy the men's shoe because they didn't have my size in womens.

Very comfortable, however a half size too big. And unfortunately 7 is the lowest size for women. :( A bit wide too so that didn't help either. Other than that though, they felt awesome to run in. I had to return these for another Hoka One One shoe that had 6.5, the Stinson Tarmac.

A truly remarkable running shoe...do not be afraid to give these a try...no leg fatigue, did not need to wear my full length orthotics for the first time in 30 years. I have skinny feet with a flat arch, and was surprised how supportive they were with the most cushioned feel of any show I've ever run in. I guess the straight last adds to the stability but does not compromise the comfort...just incredible.

I love these shoes! I always had pain in my arches and ankles after I ran or hiked but since wearing my Hoka's, I don't have any more pain. Super comfortable shoes!

These shoes reduced my post run knee pain to almost zero; the same for my foot pain. I have had those pains since college, decades ago, so that is amazing. The combination of almost zero-drop (heel toe differential), with the pillowy soft cushioning seems to be what has done it. Other zero drop shoes have little cushion, which leads to better mechanics, but a feeling of being 'beaten up' after a run. These feel so comfortable. Why only four stars? The price is obscene. These are shoes that could really help people who have injuries run, walk, or even work. But, many of those people who could benefit from them will never try a pair because of the ridiculous price. Business is about making money, and I truly hope these guys make a lot. But the price is a joke. They could still make plenty of bucks with a $75 price tag.

Shoes are nice. I've been dealing with some knee issues the last couple of years and wanted to try these shoes to see if they help. They do seem to help some. They have a lot of cushioning, very good stability and the low heel to toe drop helps promote a more mid foot strike. They do lack arch support though. But since I'm limited to about 3 miles at a time it's not that troublesome for me. Overall a great, extremely cushioned shoe that works very well for its intended purpose.

The shoes are indeed very comfortable and I have significantly less pain after going on a run. They are also very light, although they don't look it. However the tread wears very fast! I have now only 35 miles on the shoes and they show major wear. I weigh 190 lbs. Not sure whether I'll buy these again...probably not because they are too expensive to replace soon.

Bought one Bondi 2, but returned 2nd day. Don't know why the designer used so soft material on bottom of sole, I don't think it can withstand direct contacting of rugged ground for very ling time. Overall color mixing is good except front head of shoe is not as appealing as the latest Stinson Tarmac, the front head of shoe reminds people of factory worker safety shoe with wrong color.
