These boots are great. I was looking for an excellent, moderately priced boot to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro and chose these. I normally wear and 8.5 but ordered a 9 and they were perfect. I only received them a month before my trip and walked about 6 miles in them prior to the climb but had no issues. I wore and thin and thick pair of Smartwool socks each day and despite at least four ecosystems and 5-14 hours of climbing/ hiking per day, my feet were always dry, warm and comfortable. The Vibram soles were essential in navigating the rocks and many scrambles we had to overcome on our route (Machame). But despite their great performance, the boots were basically ruined at the end by the long-wear and muddy rainforest. They were just completely wrecked after 7 days of constant wear in harsh conditions and I elected to donate them to the porters in our tour company. If you are looking for a quality boot for a moderate price these are a perfect choice.

Not a true wide width! This shoe runs narrow, even narrower than other Vasque shoes. I would recommend this for someone who is slightly wider than a B width but C, D, or E widths need not apply.

I really like these boots. I bought a 1/2 size up as others suggested and the fit great. (I'm a size 9, bought a 9 1/2). They are light weight and really protect my ankles. I have loose ligaments and roll my ankles pretty easily while walking through the woods. Just tighten these boots around the ankles and you're good to go.

Love this boot! It has just the right support for a long day hike. The wide toe box is perfect and the ankle hooks allow the hiker to separate toes from ankle and use a Sherpa Knot easily. Also, it has the most important Vibram Sole, a must on rocky trails. With the addition of the Super Feet, it is a light, but supportive boot. I do not have a wide foot, but found the wide size to be perfect.

I had high hopes for this boot, but within seconds, my right ankle was feeling a hard rub on the inside. I readjusted my socks, retied the boot, stood up, and felt the same rub as I walked around the house. Unfortunately, this boot hits some major pressure points and renders it wholly uncomfortable. Couldn't walk a mile in these shoes. Come on, Keen. Give me a boot to replace the Oregon PCT and I'll be a happy hiker again.

This is my second pair of Vasques. I was so thrilled with the first pair that I wore for 10 years (and probably could still wear) but wanted a new color way that I got another pair. I will have these for the next 10 years for sure. I have a high arch so I added a Super Feet orthotic just to give more support, but I did not use them in my original pair. Great laces, hardware and I have found other brands that friends wear have slipped when the traction on Vasques keep me standing! Broke these boots in on a 3200 vertical feet climb yesterday and had no soreness or tiredness to my feet after! Love this new boot!

Great hiking booths. I did two weeks on the AT, averaging 15-20 miles a day and no blisters or other foot injuries. I wear 7.5 medium, but I like to order 8 medium.

I tried on tons of hiking boots in preparation for a trek to Everest Base Camp.... after purchasing and returning a few pairs I finally settled on this pair of Vasque Breeze. I wasn't crazy about how they looked, but when you are trekking for 5-7 hours a day on uneven, rocky, Himalayan Trails you don't care what your feet look like! These provided amazing support! I suffer from plantar faciitis and wonky ankles and I literally never had one problem. I wore them with one pair of heavy wool hiking socks and one pair of thin sock liners. Terrific shoes.

I love these boots. I have not been hiking yet. But the fit seems perfect and they feel very comfortable. The style is great. And I love the color. Excellent treads. I believe I'm going to be extremely happy with these boots. Definitely recommend.

This is the second pair of this hiking boot I've purchased from Zappos. It's a great boot, provides lots of support and really grips the ground. I normally take an 8 1/2 but I go up to a 9 so I can layer socks. Love this boot. Regarding arch support, one reason I get this boot is because I can remove the insole and put my orthotic in, giving me the custom support I need.

These were so great! I wear an 8 shoe and wore a 9 in these to accommodate thicker socks. They did not require any breaking in. They were ready to go from day one!

I had to go a full size larger with these, in part due to thicker hiking socks. These boots were comfortable from day one, didn't even need to break them in. I am a scout leader staffing a multiple day training course in the woods (Wood Badge), so I was on my feet from about 6am-11pm on various types of terrain. My feet felt great the whole time! Very sturdy even on steep trails, soles have reliable treads but are not too heavy. My only complaint is that I wasn't crazy about the colors offered, I liked the gray but NOT the lavender detailing. I'm a 40 year old woman, I don't need pink on my hiking boots! However, the fit, support, and comfort were so outstanding I am willing to overlook the aesthetics.

I have loved the Vasque Sundowner hiking boots I have had for 15 years. But I am going on a different kind of hike and decided on the Breeze 2.0 GTX. They ran small. I wear a 7 in the Sundowner and wear and 8 in these. Just finished 4 miles on hills right out the box and no blisters! Feet feel good.

These boots are great! Were comfortable right out of the box, I have worn them on 2 consecutive 4 mile hikes and they felt great the whole time. I got them for a hiking trip in Iceland this August and they will be perfect for the colder weather, since they are insulated and waterproof. A little heavy if your doing warm weather hiking, but my feet didn't sweat in them, they are well ventilated.

Finally a pair of wide width shoes that will work for long distance hiking. Compared to my other hiking boots, they have much more cushion in the footbed, which is great for rocky terrain. Very comfortable for walking long distances and carrying heavy pack.

I have very narrow feet - 4A with a 6A heel. I ordered these in 8M because they looked so similar to the Vasque St. Elias, which do come in narrow, but are lighter, which I would have preferred. Although the Breeze and St. Elias actually have the same "footprint," the upper on the Breeze in medium is for a bigger foot than the St. Elias in narrow, and my foot sloshed around too much in the Breeze. But it is a lovely shoe, nice weight - I wish it came in narrow!

I wear 6.5 in shoes, have narrow feet. Needed a 7.5 in these. Fit my narrow feet perfectly and very comfortable right out of the box! Love the style and color. Took them hiking/walking in Colorado last week and they felt great! I did have the same problem others mentioned with the laces coming undone occasionally, but it didn't bother me. Can't wait to wear them hiking again. Love them!

I ordered these and the Solomon conquest. I chose the Vasque. I like the more solid base-stiff but not so much. We are hiking Machu Pichhu and I wanted something more substantial. I liked the wide toe box. and ordered 1/2 size larger than usual per recommendations of others. They were correct. I hiked 8 miles right out of the box!

I am a repeat Vasque customer but this is the first time I've purchased a wide shoe/boot. Like another reviewer stated, there really isn't much of a noticeable difference. Regardless, the boot held up well during an international hiking-intensive trip though it took about a full week to break them in. I also replaced the insoles with more substantial orthotics. Looking forward to the next use!

This is my first pair of hiking boots, so I do not have anything to compare them to. But these were comfortable and well made. I especially liked the loop in the back (not just a tab) to help pull them on. I think I bought half a size bigger to account for the thicker socks.

It didn't take long to break these in. Very comfortable with the right amount of support and surprisingly light weight. Typically, hikers tend to rub me raw in the widest part of my foot but not these. Quality product. Very well made.

I bought these boots for work and for a backpacking trip. Thay hardly required any time breaking them in. I found the shoes at a local store, but the deal online was too good to pass up. I ordered a Wide and they fit well. They have been great for work in the wet, sometimes swampy environment I work in and I looking foward to trying them out on the trail.
