I am a true Merrell fan, but like a few other reviewers said, these shoes had a few problems. There is something on the inside, near the small toe, that rubbed my toe raw after a couple of hours of wearing them. Also, regardless of how tight I lace these (and I went down half a size based on other reviews) my heel slips up. I was truly bummed out that these shoes were so uncomfortable! I also wore them out hiking to test them, as walking around indoors does not really reveal the pros and cons of hiking shoes, so I cannot return them. I will be trying some thicker socks to see if that helps anything.

After breaking 2 metatarsals and spending 4 months in a walking boot and shoe, doctor recommended rigid sole shoes to transition. These are perfect, with lots of support and they roll as you step, keeping my forefoot from bending too much. They'll be great after my foot's healed as well, great hiking shoe. I've given it 4 stars for comfort since it is a rigid soled shoe. I normally choose softer shoes. Even so, it is comfortable. Overall, a 5 star since it's a stylish, quality shoe.

I've had about 5 or 6 pairs of the Merrell Siren Sport over the past couple of years; they are super. This time I ordered both the Siren Sport and the Siren Sport 2 for comparison. Nothing I could put my finger on, but I liked the feel of this shoe a bit better than the original model. Very comfy! And switching to Merrells a few years ago helped me heal both heel spurs and plantar fasciitis. If you want a really comfortable, good looking walking shoe, these are well worth the money! Thanks as always to Zappos for their excellent selection, quick shipping and worry-free returns.

I'm on my fifth or sixth pair of this shoe in the last 4 years. I wear them for work as a field producer and hiking almost every weekend and wear them out in about 10 months. I am committed to this amazing shoe and it's never steered me wrong. Well, I had to throw away an especially stinky pair after an early morning in some dewey grass and then the rest of the day in a sweltering minivan. But that was my fault. I order a 9 in elephant/pink every time and will continue to do so as long as they'll let me. Cheers Merrell!

I bought the Merrell Siren Sport 2 shoe because I'm on my feet constantly. I wanted a shoe that would help ease my back pain from standing all day. The Sport 2 has done a wonderful job. I can finish a shift without hobbling out the door. No back pain! Love them!

These arrived and I put them on and went for a 3-mile walk that same afternoon. Not a single pressure point or bit of discomfort. I'm not a runner, so I can't speak to that, but for walking they are excellent. I am not in the best of shape, but whatever else might hurt when I'm walking, my feet are happy. These shoes are lightweight, breathable... so comfortable that, along with my iPod, they keep me from blowing off my daily walk!

This is my first pair of Merrell Siren Sport 2 athletic shoes. I have two pairs of their previous model Siren Sport in different colors and since those felt so comfortable and fit so well, I figured the new model would fit and feel exactly the same. Unfortunately they gave me blisters on my right toe from day one, and they seemed to have absolutely no give to them, cramping my feet. I doubt that I will order Siren Sports again since it seems Merrell has changed their formula from the previous model.

This is my fourth pair of Merrell light hikers and I hope they never stop making this shoe! I have very low volume feet and was born with low arches which causes pronation. The sole is designed to assure proper alignment, which protects my knees and hips. The toe box is 'trim' but doesn't cramp my healthy straight toes. The continuous laces let me adjust the fit along the forefoot. The soles are firm enough to cushion the impact from hard surfaces and flex at the instep so I feel connected and in control of my stride no matter what the surface is. 100% positive in every way.

I was looking for a good walking shoe for an upcoming trip to Europe. I selected this shoe for its style and removal insole, as I typically replace the insole with a custom orthotic. Many shoes are not deep enough to accommodate the orthotic, but this one does. My feet tend to run a bit narrow, but I did notice a slightly narrower toe box. For others with wider feet, this could pose a problem. If I am on my feet a long time, I can feel a bit of pressure on my baby toes. I have very bad arches and ankles and look for shoes with stability. This shoe, in conjunction with my orthotic, provides me the level of comfort and stability I need. The four stars for comfort (instead of 5) is because of the slight narrowness in the toe box. Otherwise, it is a very nice shoe. This is my second pair, I have another in a different color.

The wide in the Siren Sport 2 runs narrow. Merrell's Proterra in medium is a bit wider than this one.

These might be fine for some people but not for me. Was trying to replace my Merrell Continuum, which is a slip-on but has been discontinued. Tried the Moab Ventilator but the tongue was too stiff. Exchanged it for this one which also is too high on my foot & ankle. If I lace it loosely enough to be comfortable on my foot, then my heel slips. Unfortunately I wore them outside so can't return them. Have tried different lacing styles but not having any luck. Also did not mean to order this color as I loathe pink, did not realize this when I was on the online chat to make the exchange. This was my fault. But I don't think I'll ever buy shoes online again.

These are not really wide, and the right little toe keeps rubbing on something, as I have read in some of the other reviews. Very disappointed as I love everything else about the shoe.

I love this shoe, have had this same model for five years, but something is really wrong with the stitching on the inside of the left shoe...I really think it is defective. I would love to try another pair but I'm not so sure.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable. I have been having significant foot pain including a stress fracture and planter fasciitis. These shoes are awesome - was able to wear them right away and am back walking a mile daily thanks to them. Tried going further but aggravated my foot but still, a mile is better than the nothing I was doing before!

I generally love Merrell shoes and appreciate the availability of wide sizes. Unfortunately, this particular style rubs against my baby toe on the right shoe. I'll try other styles since I like the support and fit of Merrells.

Have had this exact shoe in the same size in the past. This pair had places on each side of by big and little toe rubbing. Had to return the and get an exchange. Zappos was good about this. Even though I'd worn them, they were defective. Love shoes and Zappos so much, I'll give it another try. Gave a 1 star for comfort because this particular pair were defective. The other exact pair that I bought from Zappos last year were a 5 star!

This is my second pair of the exact same shoes. These were rough toward the second joint of the big toe. That seems to be a defect, I spoke with customer service and they are exchanging the shoes right away.

This is the second pair that I bought. They are so comfortable. I have a job where I am on my feet a lot. They often hurt by the end of the day. When wearing these shoes, my feet are always in good shape. I also love that the come in size 10½.

I have bought the Siren sport for a number of years now, always in the Olive color, and I absolutely love the shoe. I just received my latest pair, and was dismayed to find that the color had been changed. I will keep them because my other ones are worn out, but I do wish they had left the original Olive color alone. FYI, the color is now sort of an off grayish/purple.

This is my 2nd pair of these shoes. They're great for being out on the trail but I wear them around town as well. They're my go-to shoes. I have a lot of pain in the ball of my foot and these shoes are the most comfortable I own.

I purchased the Merrell Siren Sport 2 because I was looking for an all around shoe that was comfortable and wasn't a "tennis shoe." These shoes are as comfortable as tennis shoes but look nicer and I feel give better support. I would recommend these shoes. Also love the customer service support for Zappos!

I have problems with my left foot after having a surgery done to correct a tendon issue so purchasing shoes can be a nightmare. These shoes were very comfortable but did end up having to order the wider width. Had to return both pairs due to a stitching issue inside the right shoe that was hitting my right little toe. It was very odd that it occurred in both sets and only in the right shoe. If it had not been for this, the shoe would have been perfect.

I normally wear a 5.5 in athletic shoes, the 5.5 in these slipped off with minimal effort so I tried the 5. I wish I had given them a couple days of indoor wear, but I work them outdoors to try and break them in (so I can't return them now) and it became apparent like another reviewer said, that the heel slips. I've added a heel insert to see if that helps. I really want them to work because they are cute enough to do double duty for hiking and also some more casual wear during am upcoming Europe trip, but I don't know if it is going to happen. I wish I'd tried a different brand.

I don't know what happened to the Siren Sport but this Siren Sport 2 is not nearly as nice (from my standpoint)...they do not fit well, and I will have to return them...no arch support and too high on my ankle. I am so disappointed, as I have been buying the Merrell Siren Sports for years.

I've been wearing Merrell sport shoes for many years and specifically Siren Sport. This was my first time trying Sport 2, only because they don't make Sport anymore. These are terrible shoes compared to what Merrell has made in the past. Very cheaply made. No padding to speak of. Stiff and TOO wide. Padding that use to cover the laces inside is short so the back of the laces rub. If all you do is walk down the street for a short period of time in these shoes you'll probably be fine. Don't try any serious walking. I'm so disappointed in Merrell. They have truly lost their way.
