I have a very hard time wearing closed shoes, They're either too heavy or the toe box is too narrow. When I saw these shoes, I looked at all views and decided this may just be the right shoe for me. Not only are they light in weight, the toe is perfect for my sensitive toes. The bright yellow? So what if everyone at the Gym knows me because of the very bright color shoes. I love them and highly recommend them for one who isn't a serious runner or gymnast. By the way, the name given this shoe is perfect "Barefoot".

I'm a huge fan of Merrell's barefoot line, though I do wish sizing was consistent through each model! The crush, contrary to many reviews here, does not run large. The Crush fits somewhere between true-to-size & small/short. To compare: I wear an 8.5 in my Dash Glove with socks- those run large. The Pace Glove runs small & long - the 8.5 is too tight, the 9 is too long & my heel slips. My normal shoe size is 8.5, though I sometimes wear heels/boots at a 9. Sadly, I will be returning these. Even more sadly, they are now completely out of stock in the crush size 9, so I cannot exchange the 8.5s I purchased (my toes rub the end). Hopefully Zappos stocks them again soon, or I'll go find them elsewhere. Otherwise, these are excellent shoes. The sole is surprisingly thick for a barefoot style shoe (way more support than normal), but still just barely minimalist & zero drop. Great traction. I've been wearing my Dash gloves (version 1) to hike, run, & play dodge ball - but they are now being retired to strictly trail shoes. I wanted something just for running/gym sports. These are perfect cross-fit shoes. Side note: I ordered the yellow color & I hate it. The fabric has a very distinct honeycomb pattern where the shoes actually have see-through holes...it massively creeps me out. Will be ordering them in black, instead when they have them again.

I love these shoes. I have 3 different pairs of Merrell barefoot-style running shoes, and these are my favorite. The tongue was stiff and uncomfortable at first (poking into the top of my foot/ankle), but I am glad I kept wearing them around the house until that got broken in. I wear these shoes for running and for casual shoes.

Just got these and love them! They fit perfect and plan to wear them to the gym for Body Pump and Zumba. the toe box is nice and roomy and I can feel the support on the sides of the shoe which is what I need for body pump and Zumba. And, I can wear them out and about too! There IS arch support!

It has been a number of years since I purchased new shoes. Enjoy the feel of them, great comfort with the exception of the tongue being a little longer and rubs against skin if wearing low cut socks. I am generally a size 10 and ordered a 10 1/2, glad I did, toes do not feel cramped, good fit. I use this shoe for body pump, some cross-training and actually running around with errands - so comfortable. Look forward to buying another Merrell shoe in a different style for more running.

These shoes are great! I was new to the "barefoot" world but love it! I use these shoes to weight lift as well as cardio. I do find my arches get a little sore if I've been doing cardio for an extended amount of time, but nothing that's unbearable. These shoes are great and I would definitely recommend them! Love the color too!

These shoes are great! I'm actually a little mad I didn't try them before now because they are more stable and comfortable than any of the previous workout shoes I was buying! I ended up buying a second pair of Merrells to wear as everyday, walking shoes because I liked these so much! I ordered down a 1/2 size like the other reviews said and they fit perfect.

I ordered these shoes without high hopes. I don't usually have success with ordering shoes online, except boots. I thought I would probably have to send them back. I never write reviews either but I had to on these because as soon as I put them on, they were the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Now, I want to wear them all the time. I only wish they came in a plain black with no other color on them.

Love the barefoot line! This one has more support than others. This is okay but I prefer the styles with no support. I walk all day for work.

Love these shoes. I originally bought them as a gift, but liked them so much that I came back to buy them for myself. Merrell lists them as cross-trainers and not runners. They have a wide squared toe box (which I love), that actually allowed me to go down a half size. These are my first pair of minimalist shoes. They do not offer arch support, but they are not supposed to. I sometimes feel fatigue in my soleus muscles, as I am not completely used to zero heel drop shoes yet, but that is only after I have been on the crosstrainer for a long time. I also feel some medial knee pain, but that is because I have flat feet. I am hoping that the muscles in my feet will strengthen enough to form small arches. I generally wear these shoes when I go to the gym. I have the aqua color as well as the dazzling blue, and frequently receive compliments.

These are great shoes. They are very light weight. They are a bit abrasive at the heel but that is taken care of with a band-aid. These are very comfortable shoes.

Love everything about these shoes. They feel like Earth shoes. Good arch support and I like the lower heel cup. I usually take an 8.5 in athletic shoes, but in Merrells I go down a half size. The color of this shoe is amazing. Don't plan on being a wallflower when you're wearing them. The almost florescent pink is sure to attract lots of attention.

I have a very hard time finding athletic shoes that fit my small 5 1/2 narrow foot, so much so that years go buy without me finding anything that fits. These Crush Gloves fit so well that I bought two pair. The first day I wore them to the gym for three workout classes, ran errands and when I got home I was sorry I had to take them off they were so comfortable. I tried the Merrell Bare Access Arc 2 but they had too much arch support and my feet were tired when I took them off. This is my first pair of barefoot shoes and I am a big fan.

Very cute and comfortable shoe. It is a minimalist shoe. Although it does have a 0 heel drop, it does not have as much lateral flexibility as most other minimalist shoes. I think that this was done on purpose, to give the shoe itself the lateral strength you might want in a crosstrainer. I think that this shoe will last longer than most barefoot shoes because of that rigidity. The toebox is squarish which is the number one thing I love about barefoot shoes. I'm not sure why Merrell chooses not to make some of their barefoot toe boxes square enough. My smaller toes tend to get squished. That is no a problem in these shoes though. I wear a 9-9.5 in most shoes. I wear a 9.5 in all other Merrell Barefoot shoes, but I am a 9 in this shoe. So it runs slightly large. I love the aqua color which I am reviewing. I like the shoe so much that I am ordering the yellow as well.

Best shoes ever. I have them in blue and black. When I decided to try Merrells I went to the store and tried on all the styles they had. These were the most comfortable. They seemed to have more support than the others. My only criticism of these shoes is that my pinkie toe ends where the mesh is instead of where the plastic is and wore the mesh over time.

Love these shoes! I do crossfit 5 days a week and had been using the Reebok Nanos but they hurt my feet and shins when we would do runs so I checked into these since it said "crosstrainers/crossfit"...these are 100 times better than the Nanos in my opinion and I love the fact that they are like a glove! No socks needed, you can toss them in the wash and leave them out to dry, they are also anti-microbial which is awesome as well. Definitely recommend if you do crossfit and/or lift heavy weights.

I'm in love with my pink crush shoes! The tongue is a little stiff due to the material, but it will soften in time. I like the feel of of hitting the pavement in these--it's like I have a tight slipper on that's really lightweight, but yet super comfy. This will not be my only pair. The pink is so girlish I just couldn't pass them up. So nice!

I love these! I have these and also the Bare Access Arc 2 style. I use them both for Crossfit and I think these are my favorite. I feel like these are slightly stiffer than the bare access ones, and they stand up to rope climbs very well. I find more and more people turning to Merrell's at Crossfit and love the trend!

I use these shoes for on track Tabata workouts and indoor cardio and weight workouts. They grip well on all surfaces, are very stable and have a nice wide toe box. This last thing is important because I have started to wear Correct Toes to help correct a bunion that's been forming on my left foot for a while. If you have wide feet and are looking for a minimalist shoe, I highly recommend this one.

These shoes are comfortable, cute and make my feet look smaller! The first time I wore them all day long with no problem. I hope Merrell will offer more color variety soon. I recommend you buy them!

I love these shoes for running errands and casual walking. I cannot wear them for fitness walking. I prefer my Skeletoes for fitness walking. To really get my abs working for walking fast the Merrell's dont give my toes enough room to spread out. That being said, they are exactly what I wanted for casual wear. Very comfortable and the pink color gets me compliments almost every time I wear them.

Absolutely love these shoes! Took about three wears to get used to the "barefoot" design. I could really tell my arches were working, but it wasn't painful. Now that they are broken in, they have to be the most comfortable workout shoes I have ever owned! Love the color too!

Love the wider toe box of these shoes. They are super comfortable and the laces are the perfect length and never come untied. The shoes did transfer pink dye to a few pairs of socks when I first got them -- start with old socks!

Cute shoes, felt supportive enough, but much too wide for my narrow foot, unfortunately they have to go back. But, other than that, I really loved the Aqua color, too bad!

I LOVE the way these shoes looked, BUT they weren't comfortable on my feet.. :( The tongue of the shoe is very stiff and not padded and cut into my upper foot when I walked. Similarly, the shoe heel is not padded very much and cut into my heel. So sad because these shoes are so cute! I purchased the Barefoot Road Glove Dash 2 instead. They are much more comfortable in my opinion.
