I bought this shoe in my usual size for Mephisto sandals (39). It was so small that the Velcro heel strap did not connect all the way. When I walked it came open. I returned the 39s and ordered a 40. It is much better and the heel strap stays in place. I recommend going a size up in this great sandal.

The shoe size is not marked, but I can easily see without even trying them on (which I didn't) that if they are the size I ordered, Mephisto has changed its sizing drastically. The shoe is much too narrow, certainly not average, and nothing like the Mephisto sandals I already own in the way they are contoured. They couldn't possibly be comfortable (I have bought Mephisto's previously and was willing to pay the price because of the comfort). Although they are nice looking, it's my opinion that only someone with an unusually narrow foot size could wear them.

Contrary to other reviewers, I wear a 7 in US shoes and bought a 37 in this sandal and it fit perfectly. For me, no need to size up. Also did not find this sandal to be too narrow. These sandals are extremely comfortable and pretty cute for a comfort shoe. Bought them in 2 colors. Yes, they are pricey, but worth the money.

Fabulous combination of style & comfort! Had to go up a little in size -- but they still don't look at all clunky, even in 41/11 -- very sleek styling (they still look too small at first glance, but fit fine). I like the soft, comfy inner sole better than older Mephistos...partly because soft, but also considerably better arch support, which I do need these days. Little elastic connector pieces ensure the perfect width fit every day (hope they hold up). Don't like to pay this much for shoes, but I think these will be worth it!

Not all that great looking and yet not all that comfortable either. Very tight in through the toes, and the arch support is only moderate.

I love Mephisto shoes but this style is too narrow and just doesn't fit like a Mephisto. I do like the style and for a narrow fit it would probably be fine.

I ordered these shoes as I wanted the Paris but eems they haven't been in stock for a while. (Zappos order more of the best sellers, please). They are harder to get on as they have the strap from the ankle not on top of the foot. They hit me across my little toes and were very, very uncomfortable. I couldn't even wear them for a minute. The white stitching wasn't that attractive.

I loved these shoes. I have them in two color. I always get complimented on them when I wear them.

I just purchased my 5th pair of Parfolia sandals in 5 years -- I think I have one in just about every color! Needless to say, these are the only sandals I own, and I wear them nonstop all summer long. They wear extremely well, so despite the high price I feel like I get my money's worth over time. They're maybe not the most fashionable sandals around, but I think they look so much better than many "comfort" sandals.

I finally found sandals that fit and I can walk in all day! For me, that is terrific and I thank Zappos for their return policy and patience, with me. I love you guys. I had to order two sizes larger than my usual size but it finally worked. I wish that they had a slide heel buckler even elastic, but the Velcro will work. Yes, they are very expensive but I usually cannot walk in most shoes. As a nurse, I need to walk and these worked. Thanks, Mephisito, and Zappos.

Love these shoes. Color is a good dash of color. Had to go up one size for best fit. I always seem to be back and forth with this brand on fit, sometimes 38 sometimes 39.

It took me four tries this year to replace some well worn / well traveled 10+ year old Mephisto sandals. I usually wear a 38 or 39 in Mephistos and a US 8. I read the reviews for this sandal and went up to a 40. It worked. At first, the side felt like it might cut into my arch, but it did not. The first day I wore them, I walked a total of 7.5 miles in the city and my feet were perfect. The material is sort of a microfiber (think a shoe made of moleskin) and none of the metal pieces rubbed against the skin. The shoe is really cute (especially for Mephisto) and I have gotten a lot of compliments. I like the slight heel for wearing to and from the office, but I don't have the kind of job where I can wear them all day - I pull out Cole Haan platform heels (size 8) for in the office. I'm on the fence about wearing them with really casual shorts.

This shoe has a nice fit for my foot. It is a little narrow but size 40 is my usual size and it was fine for me. It is very comfortable and extremely soft and has good support. Love the look! Can be dressy or casual. Great for walking anywhere.

I ordered these sandals because several reviews said they ran narrow and that is true, which is a plus for me as it's difficult to find narrow shoes. They are quite comfortable and stylish. I got the sand and think it's an attractive and versatile color. Mephisto are so well-made and the customer service is excellent that I'm willing to pay the price and will probably order them in black too.

I just returned from a month in Europe, wearing these sandals most of the time (I switched to more sturdy walking shoes when the terrain was hilly cobblestones). They were fabulous! Fashionable for a comfort shoe - not too clunky. They ARE more narrow which fits my narrow foot just fine as most Mephistos are too wide for me. I also purchased a full size up to have an ample footbed. Would also recommend buying and placing those silky insoles in these or any sandals worn a lot to prevent perspiration from soaking into the Nubuck soles and making them slick.

I really like these sandals but unfortunately the sizing is not really accurate on USA standards. I ordered a 12 which was shown as a European size 42. A 42 is more like an 11, whereas a 43 matches a 12 in most instances. I tried them hoping the sizing was large for a 42, but they were too short as are most 42's are for me. I wish they made these up to a 43 in the European sizes. They have to be returned.

This is a beautiful, comfortable shoe, but unfortunately I had to return it. Like another reviewer mentioned, Mephisto recommends (on box cover) that you have 6-7 MM of space between your toes and end of shoe as well as the heel for optimal fit. I was mushed in the shoe and can't go up a size (I wear a 42 in euro sizes) and they don't make this one in a 43 unfortunately. If you can get your size, this shoe is worth the money!

Shoe would be perfect if Velcro strap actually worked well. For this price, Velcro should stick - many times it does not. Also, you need a size larger than your regular size. Would help if Zappos recommended a size up or down than your usual size.
