This sneaker is the best around for walking. I have plantar fasciitis and severe arthritis in my knees, and I am also obese. Within five days of wearing this shoe, I can take long walks and my knee pain has subsided considerably. The plantar fasciitis barely hurts when walking in these shoes. And they helped me with my posture too! I was skeptical about buying a sneaker online, but I have been wearing New Balance for a while so decided to risk it. Glad I did! I was worried it would be too much of a running shoe, but it was flexible as a walking shoe should be. For me, these fit 100% true to size and the look of the shoe is quite cute and fun. I love pink! So, if you are looking for comfort, good fit, and a nice style, this would be the shoe for you! On a side note, since I could not find a good walking sneaker until now, I have had to wear Birkenstock Boston clogs non-stop. These are even more comfortable and better for walking than my Birkenstocks. I love Birkenstocks, but they won't be used constantly now since I get the same comfort but improved posture and alignment of the knees in this walking shoe.

Nice shoe for walking, very comfortable and I have very flat, overpronated feet. Shoe easily accommodates my orthotic. I like the colors because it is summery without being stark white. I am loyal to New Balance, to me the best shoe out there.

These shoes worked perfectly for me. There are no seams to irritate bunions, wide toe box and replaceable inserts allowed me to use the orthotics!

Great walking shoe. I wore it the first time at the 'Walk for the Cure Pittsburgh." It has a slim fit.

Nice lightweight shoe with lots of heel cushioning. Not good for those with high arches, though. Not enough flex.

I wish I could give these shoes even more stars! I wear orthotics due to plantar fasciitis surgery and had a Jone's fracture on my left foot three years ago which resulted in foot surgery requiring pins to heal. I was left with a LOT of foot pain and despaired that my days of walking for exercise might be gone. I struggled to walk even a mile without pain. I decided to try these shoes after reading about them and was fitted in a shoe shore. The salesman advised me to go for a wide, as they run narrow and I bought my usual athletic shoe size, which is a half size up from my street shoe. These shoes were blissfully comfortable and enabled me to get back into walking three miles daily for exercise. I hope New Balance never quits making these shoes! They are heaven-sent!

This is the first time I ordered these shoes but have been wearing New Balance for a long time. I like the looks of these much better than the others I have been wearing. They are more modern looking and feel great on my feet. Highly recommended for a power walker!

I purchased a pair of these locally at a New Balance store. I was fitted for the correct size so I knew which size to buy from Zappos when I saw them. I was thrilled with the Komen Pink, my other pair is the gray and purple. I normally wear a 5-5.5 M so I was shocked when they told me I needed this in a size larger plus the W width! Well they fit great and are very comfortable so I guess they run small. I do have room in my toes but for me that's a good thing. It's hard for me to accurately rate the size and width in my normal size because after measuring my feet, the size I purchased was what they brought out and tried on me! All in all, a really comfy, supportive shoe and I have a real problem finding shoes that fit me correctly.

I read all the reviews on these shoes so I ordered a half size larger and they fit great. I have very sensitive feet and toes and these don't have a seam right across my big toe, so they are awesome. They are extremely comfortable. I have a difficult time finding comfortable shoes due to RA, Plantar Fascitis and gouty arthritis, but these are working great. I will be purchasing another pair. The only negative comment I have is that they are listed as black/purple and they are nowhere near black. They are grey and more fuschia. I don't really care though. Comfort is more important to me than color. I will be purchasing another pair soon. Make these in many colors and I will buy one of each. I highly recommend.

I love these shoes I was drawn to the style because there were minimal seams in the toe areas. I suffer with corns and bone spurs in the toes and these shoes do not hurt my toes.

Love these shoes. I walk 3-5 miles a few days a week and these shoes are far more comfortable for walking than my usual running shoes and gym shoes. They are very light and have lots of extra cushion to take the pounding of a long fast walk. I wear a size 8.5 in regular shoes and always a 9 in athletic shoes - these were true to size (ordered the 9). Nice and roomy in the toes.

I walk for exercise. Very comfortable shoes for walking with good support. No breaking in period or blisters. I got the blue/white color in size 8.5. Normally wear size 8 but size up in this brand, especially since I am wearing athletic socks. I have flat feet & bunions & these shoes are great. Heard about them via a fitness magazine & glad I got them! My second pair in this brand. I will always look for this brand in for future purchases!

If you want a dark black, you would be unhappy because these are like a dark charcoal. But if you're looking for an absolutely PERFECT shoe, this is it. I was a little hesitant about the price and when they arrived the box was so much lighter than I was used to - so I figured I would be returning them - not a chance - I usually had to place orthotics in my shoes - but not with these. These are the greatest and I will not hesitate to purchase another pair.

I am sorry to say this has been a disappointment in my years of wearing New Balance shoes. I first ordered 7 1/2 N, my usual size, and had to exchange it for 8 M. The shoe was very tight and narrow. It has no arch support at all, and is very uncomfortable for walking. It is not as well made as previous pairs of New Balance shoes. The inner edges are not finished, just cut raw edges on the tongue, for example. I had read other reviews that this was not a good replacement for the precious style I wore, and am now convinced this is true.

These shoes were very comfortable from out of the box. No break in time. They were the best walking shoes I have ever worn.

Love these shoes! I was thrilled I was able to get a narrow width which meant the heel did not rub up and down. The arch support is great for me and I love that there are no seams around the toe box so nothing to rub on my toes. My only complaint is after 1 wear they began to squeak; however, as I only wear them to walk around the neighborhood it was not worth changing them.

Other manufacturers make narrow sneakers none fit me like New Balance. These fit perfectly and very comfortable. Purchased for a trip to France. Wore them every day and did lots of walking. Very pleased with this shoe!

Fit great, very comfortable. Wear them on long 13 hour work shifts and haven't had an issue. Also have worn them to the gym a few times. Well worth the cost.

I got these sneakers because I have a large heel spur and I am in constant terrible pain. These sneakers are wonderful! There is so much padding. I was skeptical since they were so expensive and I'm used to paying only $30 for New Balance sneakers in Kohls, but I understand now why they are pricey - they are much higher quality, much sturdier, much more comfortable. It's one of the only pairs of shoes I can wear right now because of my foot pain.

I have wide feet and knee pain and so I need good athletic shoes. These fit the bill. I was able to get a half size wide width that I couldn't find in any stores. I bought these because of a review I read on the style while researching good supportive walking shoes and I'm glad I did. While my knees still hurt, they were significantly better. I also liked that part of the proceeds go to cancer research. The color and style is nice. With athletic shoes you get what you pay door and for something that will fit better and provide good support I'm willing to pay a little more.

New Balance makes a great shoe. After ordering several styles of New Balance for my mother to try out she found these to be most comfortable. In fact they were so comfortable I bought her two pair of the same shoe, just different colors. One for outdoors because she walks several miles each day, and one for around the house. New Balance is a great shoe and Zappos is exceptional. I can not say enough high praises for Zappos customer service. I only buy shoes from this company. They are a 10 star rating!

I have five pairs of these shoes. With a wide foot, these are perfect. Great colors, a firm sole and lots of cushioning. With arthritis in my knees these work for me. Always have a new pair in reserve for travel in case they are discontinued.

I bought these after reading the reviews and I'm glad I did. I had a couple of foot surgeries and use these as "indoor" shoes. I added my own inserts and they are working out very well.

I was experiencing some pain in my ankle/heal from wearing flat unsupportive shoes for too long. I decided to give these shoes a try and have been wearing them constantly for a few weeks. I've noticed a definite improvement in foot pain. I am not sure if they are "ultra" supportive, but they are very comfortable, and I have always been happy with my New Balance shoes.
