You should know that DWR means Scotchguard. This should be disclosed. I would rather not wear a product with nanoparticles that can be absorbed through your skin, into your bloodstream. Otherwise, they run very large.

I'm a 6-foot-tall lady who enjoys hiking and I have long struggled to find "adventure pants" that would work for me. I'm usually stuck hiking in leggings in the fall, winter and spring since most women's hiking pants make me look like I'm prepping for a flood. I'm not really picky: if you're going to sell a "Tall" or a "Long," give me a 35" or 36" inseam and be mindful of the fact that women have hips (I'm lookin' at you, North Face with your hip-hating ways) and I will be a customer for life. I know tons of other ladies who would be, too. These pants deliver on all of that: they're roomy in the hips (something you need when scaling hills and scrambling over rocks), they are long enough (but not so long that they get stepped on or drag in the mud), and they make your bum look really good. That's a tall order for technical fabric such as these are made of but they really do: someone at Prana has actually seen a bum before, apparently (looking at you again, North Face...maybe you should get out more and really, ahem, embrace what the female form looks like?). If you're between sizes, I recommend sizing up as they have a drawstring. Did I mention they convert into capris, too? So see? You will be set should things get flooded. Buy these and happy hiking, tall ladies!

Similar to the reviewer from Houston, I am looking for pants that are lightweight and quick-dry for trip to Africa. I ordered Kuhl, Outdoor Research, Merrell and Prana. I am 5'6", 130 pounds, 37½ hips and typically wear size 6 pants. I am always looking for pants that hide (or at least do not accentuate) the large hips (saddlebags). Based on other reviewers' advice, I ordered in sizes 6 and 8 depending on the pants. I will paste this same review on each style I purchased as well as I found Houston's detailed review very helpful. Kuhl, Vala size 8: Best job overall of hiding saddlebags due to very relaxed fit, but this causes the pants to be a little less stylish looking. I accidentally ordered the short, which definitely was too short for me. As these might be comfortable for a long plane ride, I might reorder these in regular length. Kuhl Bandita I ordered in both 6 and 8 as I liked the styling best when I looked at them online. I still agree the styling of these is great, but I seem to be between sizes. The front on both sizes had lots of wrinkles across the front that I did not care for. The fabric is a bit noisy when you walk. The pocket details are really nice and the zip off leg detail is very nice & minimized unlike some of the other convertible pants that I have tried. Kuhl Kontra, size 8: This is one of those Kuhl Kurve pants for hippier women. The inner tie is nice to tighten the pant around the back where it typically gaps. Cute stitching detail on the pockets. Nice fabric. Good length. Only drawback is the excess wrinkles across the front. Outdoor Research Clearview Pant, Sz 6: Liked the fabric a lot. Feels more like canvas duck whereas all the others feel more like ripstop material. These gaped quite a bit at the back and where a little on the short side. They would probably be great for someone less hippy Prana Halle, Size 6 in Cargo Green: great color and very stylish. These would definitely be awesome on someone without hips. I may keep these anyway though because I really like the style. There is an inner tie to tighten up around the back gap. Good length, not too low of rise. Warning: these pants really stunk like chemicals when I first opened the bag, but the smell dissipates. Merrell Belay Pant, Size 8, Color oyster: I really disliked these pants - they should stick to shoes! The color was a medium cool grey. They were a bit short even though they are bigger size than I normally wear. I thought the angled side zippers would be more flattering, but they weren't. They looked like mom pants, gaped in back, and the zippers were clunky and bulky

Only two stars overall because I'm a bit disappointed that two-month-old pants with light use (no heavy bushwhacking, simply walking the dogs) are falling apart. Both buttons have fallen off (and these don't fit tightly, the holes in the buttons are sharp-edged and sawed through the thread), and the seams at the insides of the legs are falling apart. Not because of wear, just weak stitching. Fit is great, comfort is great, fabric is great, love the just-right amount of stretch. Pants are go-to comfy. But lacking in construction quality. So to sum it up, they're a great pant if you don't mind pulling out the needle and thread regularly. But for nearly this cost should you have to?

I just received these pants and am happy to report that they are super comfy and flattering. I purchased them for an upcoming trip to Alaska during which I will be doing a fair share of hiking. I wanted pants that would be comfortable and practical for hiking but would also look decent enough to wear out to dinner at night. Usually hiking/camping pants are so unflattering, but the Prana Halle pant is tailored like a pair of straight-leg jeans - fitted through the butt and thighs, a little looser around the knee and ankle. They fit down over my hiking boots perfectly, and I love that they roll up and buckle into capris as well. The fabric is nice and light (I can tell it will dry fast if it gets wet) but tough enough to stand up to brambles/brush/whatever the trail throws at you. They're stretchy enough to rock-climb in, too! Thank you, Prana for making a pair of hiking pants that make the butt look good! I'm 5'2" and 100 lbs and I bought the size 0 with the 30" inseam and they are the perfect length (I don't have to cuff them!) and fit.

Ok, let me preface this by saying I haven't worn these yet other than trying them on. However, I couldn't wait to write a review. I wanted hiking pants that were attractive which is VERY DIFFICULT to find. I have long legs, thick thighs, hips, and a small waist. I tried pants from North Face (decent, but too tight on my thighs), Columbia (all too short), Kuhl (glorified sweat pants), and Marmot (terrible and weirdest fit ever). I thought I was doomed to wearing yoga pants in the rainforest. But then Prana saved the day! They are dare I say - cute! I will happily wear these hiking and then our for drinks or dinner after. They fit more like regular boot cut pants. I am 5'9, 145 and order the size 6 with 36 inseam. They are the perfect length and fit like a dream. Can't wait to try them out!

I own these pants in three colors. The first pair I purchased over 4 years ago for a backpacking trip to Nicaragua and they are still in great condition. The only exception to the quality of these pants is the buttons fall off. But I can overlook this annoyance and quick fix for a pair of pants that fit my body! The drawstring is great (my pants always gap in the back) and at 5'10" I can wear either the regular or tall fit just fine. These pants work well for women who have hips and they make your bum look great. They are forgiving of thighs, too! These pants are great for outdoor activities, travel well (great for long airplane rides, easy to wash in a sink and quick drying), and I LOVE that the legs can be rolled up for wading in water or for warmer weather. I don't wear shorts and these pants worn as capris allow me to be very cool in hot climates.

I loved how these pants fit and was quite disappointed to see it was treated with Scotchguard. Yuck! I don't want that against my skin, in my laundry, or the environment. :(

Purchase - Prana Halle, size 10, 36", black. I am 5'8", 143-147, long legs, pear shape. I tried these in size 8 and size 10. I could have gone with either size, but the 8's pulled just a bit from crotch to hip, and I decided on size 10 to allow for vacation weight gain. I tried the 32" and 36". 32" not quite long enough. I bought the 36" and had them hemmed to about 33.5" Prana - please offer a 34" length! Wore these pants for 3 weeks all over England... London and hiking in the national parks of northern England. They were perfect, and soon my favorite pants. I love jeans, and I didn't want to wear my jeans at all. I paired these with nicer tops a few times for dinner. It rained a lot when hiking and the pants never soaked through. They wash well. I wish they made this pant in a lighter weight for hot climates. These were perfect in England, with temps from mid-60s to low 80s. But I'm concerned they will be too hot for a June trip to Italy?? Thank you Prana for such a great pant with long lengths.

Finally, hiking/casual pants/roll-up capris that are worth every penny. Very comfortable, stretchy and move with you no matter the range of motion. I am an outdoor guide at 5'10" between size 4-6 and I got these in a Size 4 Long inseam. Would be just right at 34" inseam but very happy with the 36" so no binding if you wear with gaitors. The stretch allows for adding an underlayer and makes these pants perfect for all seasons. I just wish they had more colors and maybe add a tightening strap like the Iris capris. Also add rollup snaps on lower portion of leg to make another option to wear as highwaters.

I'd been looking for cargo pants that offered long inseams (I'm 5'10"), so I was glad to find this Prana style on Zappos! I wanted a modern fit that wasn't frumpy or soccer-mom-ish. The fit is true to size, and the fabric is like butter. These pants are fitted but still comfortable, and my boyfriend likes how my butt looks. :) They don't stretch out after hours of wear, and are wrinkle-resistant. I'd definitely recommend these pants, especially for tall ladies! :)

Super comfy, super cute, variety of colors, business casual or simply casual, AND I fit into a much smaller size in these particular pants--what woman doesn't want to fit into a smaller size?! AND they are NOT a skinny pant! For those of us who have curves, thank you PRANA for making the Halle Pant for women like me! LOVE the waist band style too--can be worn with or without a belt. Would definitely recommend for any size woman!

So cute and comfortable! I'm small, 5'2", 120 lbs. Ordered size 4 in the 30" to hike in. Loved them so much bought another pair in the 32" length to wear to work with higher shoes like my Danskos . These fit will in the hips and thighs. Love the draw string waist. Pockets make the rear-end look good. Comfortable, casual, but nice. Very pleased. Great pants.

I think that I am just a solid 7! I'm 5'4" and 130 pounds, with all my weight around my middle. The 6 in these were a little tight in the crotch and around the thighs/rump but I could slide the 8 off without unbuttoning (more than the drawstring could make up for). They are definitely the cutest quick dry pants that I have tried on, and I loved that they were a much thicker material than my other nylon travel pants. These felt substantial, like you could safely scramble over rocks or boulder and eat it and not rip them. The ginger color is a nice duck pant staple, the green is a pretty olive. So close, just did not fit this gal quite right!

Loved these pants, but the inside tabs were all missing snaps for converting to capris. I'm getting a replacement and hope the new ones have them. 5'-8", 130#, size 4, 32" fit perfectly.

These are almost great. These pants are nice quality and comfortable. They do run slightly big but that could be because of the relax fit cut/styling. The only downfall is the front pockets are too small to be functional. I would not put anything important in the pocket for fear of losing it. My iPhone 5 fits in the pocket but when I bend at the legs the phone slides out of the pocket. The leg pocket on the thigh is not very useful either. Maybe if you needed to tuck a single key or tissue or something, otherwise it is pointless. The pocket issues are not going to cause me to return them but I will take off a star for overall rating.

As a lady with long legs who has been on the hunt for casual pants that can function indoors or out, the extended lengths offered by Prana solve a host of problems and are definite keepers. As far as features, I'll note that the "normal" pockets aren't terribly big, but the zip on the right thigh is large enough to hold my smart phone, and I'm grateful that they don't have cargo pockets, which tend to just weigh down and make it harder to go from an adventure to a dinner. Overall, the fit is like a standard bootcut and while they look kind of "active" in terms of fabric and snappage, they can definitely blend in. As far as fit, Zappos sent me the wrong size, but I'm ok with it. I'm between, ordered the smaller and received the larger. While I suspect, based on the stretch in the pants and the way they sit on me, that I could fit the smaller, I plan on keeping these as a happy accident because of the ways in which I plan on using the pants (long plane rides, hiking). If they stretch out a lot I'll come back and modify / add a new review, but I haven't seen that as a complaint so don't expect it to be a problem. Finally, these are not a true 36" in length -- perhaps in larger sizes they are, but they fit me more like a 34.5" or so.

Really comfortable, lightweight pant. I feel I can wear these into the city after hiking or whatever. I like the waist where it can tie, as I usually need a smaller waist size than hip size. I liked them so much I got a second pair in grey!

Love these pants! Can't recommend them highly enough. I wear them everywhere - around the house, on hiking trips, to the office, to professional events (under a long jacket), etc. Comfy, light, durable, water resistant, flattering. Good pockets too. I have them in 3 colors -- black, khaki, and blue -- and the black ones are my favorite because I can pass them off as semi-formal wear.

Amazing, I've always struggle finding long enough field pants and these have changed everything. I'M 5'9" and 155 pounds, I bought size 8 with 36 inch inseam. Perfect! Very flattering, fitted but not at all tight and makes my rear end look great. Also so comfy, I could go rock climbing in these no problem.

Loved these pants. Hiked and camped all over Glacier, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton National Parks. Then wore them with a dressy top and heels to dinner. They were my favorite pants on this vacation cause they are stylish while being functional. Got the gravel color - loved it. I'm 5'-8 and 148 lbs. The size 8 worked great. I got the tall inseam and they were really long. Worked out good with my hiking boots though. Probably will order another pair with regular inseam so I can wear with flat shoes. Love Zappos next day delivery and easy returns!
