Needed new sneakers and when I saw real life Wonder Woman Senator Wendy Davis filibustering in her pink/rouge Mizuno's I headed to my reliable Zappos to snag the exact same pair. If she could stand for 13 hours in hers then they probably are good enough for me. All I can say is WOW! Why haven't I been wearing these shoes all along? They feel fantastic on my feet and have lots of cush. Normally, I need to add cushion to all my sneakers but these have enough on their own. I'm not saying they will feel great on everyone but they are perfect for me with my narrow heel and high arch.

I have been a Mizuno fanatic for years, and purchased these to replace my worn out Wave Creations. These, in my opinion, are fantastic and outdo the more expensive Wave Creations, hands down. Both shoes are meant for neutral runners, but I found that the Wave Rider provides more cushion and comfort. I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a good quality, comfortable running shoe.

After doing quite a lot of research, I decided to buy the Mizuno Wave Rider 16s. I've been running regularly in 5Ks for about 4 months so I don't really go long distances when I run. These were an editor's choice by Runner's Monthly as well and that was a deciding factor. All that said, I am very happy with my choice. These shoes are extremely lightweight and the 'wave' design on the heel (watch the Zappos video!) really does seem to propel you forward. The cushioning and support is fantastic too. I also use these for CrossFit. One note about the color: to me, they looked like a darker red here but the color is more like a very deep pinkish-red and the parts that look black are actually a dark charcoal. I still love them though!

The comfort and cushioning of this sneaker just cannot be beat. This is my 3rd pair of Mizuno Wave Riders (I previously had the Wave Rider 12 and 13). They both lasted a really long time, but I wanted to give another brand a try so I bought some Brooks sneakers. Big mistake. They were no where near as cushioning and had lackluster arch support. The point is, these are my go-to sneakers. I have high arches and underpronate so they are perfect for my feet and stride. I took off one star for style because all of the color combination were kind of ugly. But I can deal with that. Five stars for an all-around wonderful sneaker!

Love these shoes. I am a fairly avid runner (25-40 miles/week depending on what I am training for). These are the first shoes that I have had plantar fascia issues in. I am a mild pronator and these have enough support at calcaneus and midfoot but are still flexible at the ball of my foot for push-off. Lightweight, breathe well, and overall great shoe. I ordered 2 pairs for when I run through my first pair.

In college, I suffered from horrible shin splints and so I tried several different New Balance shoes. With no luck, I gave up on running altogether. Now I am ready to give it another chance. This brand came highly recommended by a few of my friends and I could not be more happy! I have high arches and these shoes give great support where I need it! I see a 5k in our near future. :) and the color. Awesome!

I also bought these to "Stand with Wendy." A a nurse practitioner in a busy neonatal unit, I work 12 - 16 hour shifts. I spend a lot of time on my feet, and can walk 2 - 3 miles in a shift on a busy night. I have peripheral neuropathy, resulting in a combination of numbness and excruciating pain. These shoes are so light and comfortable! I thought my MBTs were the best until I bought some Asics, and although I love those, the Mizunos knock it out of the park. The toe box seems less cramped, and they are a better fit for my narrow heels.

I love Mizunos for my runs. I am an amateur 46 year old who runs a few half marathons a year in an attempt to keep myself in decent shape. I had Mizunos and loved them, tried shoes from Books and New Balance, and am back with the Mizunos because they are just the best. I got the pink in honor of Wendy from Texas, but regardless of your political affiliation, these are great running shoes. I love mine because they are super comfortable and keep my feet and legs in good shape after my long runs.

Great super comfortable shoe, worn by TX State Senator Wendy Davis during her 12 hour filibuster for Women's Rights. Third pair I've purchased, one for me & 2 for gifts. I order it on a Saturday afternoon & got it the next Monday afternoon! Super customer service!

Love this shoe, and not just because of Wendy Davis! Honestly, I bought it partly because of her, but I wouldn't have kept it if it didn't truly feel wonderful. Very light, great support, love the bright colors - makes me want to get out and walk.

I originally bought the Mizuno to "Stand with Wendy Davis" But quickly found out they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Love them!

I first learned about these shoes after TX State Senator Wendy Davis wore them and figured, heck, if they are good enough to wear for a 13 hour filibuster they must be comfy and supportive! I got them in purple cause I have to be my own woman (even if they are a tribute to Wendy). ;) I've found them to be very comfortable and cute! I recommend them!

They arrived almost instantly -- really scary fast and free shipping! As with other running shoes, I got one full size bigger than my dress shoes. I put them on this morning and ran my fastest mile EVER, no kidding, on only half my usual sleep over several days. Curse you, Internet live streaming and Twitter! I was so excited I inadvertently turned off my timer, so who knows what the subsequent miles were, but looking forward to my next run! I normally run in New Balance 940s, and may go back to them because I'm used to more stability. But even if I do, these Mizunos injected fresh energy and enthusiasm into my day. I'm sure I'll find all kinds of great uses for them, e.g., taking a tour of the state house, standing around all day waiting to talk to my elected representatives, and so on.

Cute, functional, comfortable running shoes. I supinate like crazy when I run, and these completely took away my calf pain. They are lightweight and have never given me a problem. I had a pair of Brooks Gylcerine 10's and always felt a huge bubble under the ball of my foot. These were much better and have never had a problem.

Finally! I'm hard to fit (women's 11.5 narrow) and I love these shoes. The heel is nice and snug, so I'm not walking out of them, and my feet don't slide around in the toe box. Nice forward motion, and the cushioning is just enough. Not a minimalist shoe, but fairly lightweight - a nice change from my big clunky Saucony's. My only complaint would be that the red is more watermelon than apple.

The Wave Riders are excellent for neutral pronators. I have been wearing them for years. To the reviewer who pronates and is wearing the Wave Rider, you are in the wrong shoe! Try the Wave Inspire.

Mizuno is the only brand of running shoe I buy. I over-pronate, and these were recommended to me by a professional years ago. They are so lightweight and comfortable. And the color is super fun!

This was probably my 20th pair of Mizuno Wave Riders, wearing them in Marathons and Ultras right out of the box. However, with the WR 16, they changed the construction and are different than the last 19. They are lighter, not as padded, and the arch support is not as built as it used to be....They were comfortable, but after my first 5 miles, I thought, Oh man, do I have to start looking for a new running shoe?" I think I will look for Wave Rider 15 and below and stock up!

I ordered because I really liked the style but not comfortable at all. I mainly got them because I wanted a cute running shoe but they would have killed my feet with no arch support. Sadly I sent them back.

I have been so disappointed in Mizuno's Wave Rider. The shoe was changed with the 15 and all I can say is "I hate them." They are flat, little cushion, little support, almost a "cheap" feel. The Rider 16's are the same. I was hopeful, but as soon as I placed the shoe on my foot I knew they were not going to work.

Style is great and get lots of compliments but I do not recommend these shoes if you have flat feet. I've been running a while in these shoes and I get shin splints regularly. I usually wear Brooks Adrenaline and I feel Brooks was a better shoe for me.

The Mizuno Wave Riders are great shoes for my 11½N feet. Excellent fit, great arch support and very comfortable for daily long walks with the dog. I also like the Saucony Ride 6, which has a similar fit. I own both brands so I get color choices. Each brand usually has only one color option for my size.

I ran about 3-5 miles everyday for at least a year in these shoes and they were great the whole time. They wore out eventually, but any shoe would have. Very comfortable, perfect for a runner.

Great shoes, color is nice and bright but not as bright as the photo shows. There was a period of time that I had to break these in due to the fact that the heel area is tight. After I wore them a couple of times, it was fine. I am really happy with these. They have plenty of room in the toe box and are fairly snug in the heel area. I use orthotics and had no trouble replacing the factory insoles with my custom ones. This is my first pair of Mizunos, usually wear Asics but I do like these. Zappos as always is wonderful.

Felt similar to other Wave runners. Good support for my high arches. It was an easy transition into the shoe - no blisters or aches.
