5 stars for style & color (cognac) but I'm giving it only 3 for comfort. It is heavier than stated. I weighed it empty (ie no stuffing or other things in it) and it weighs 3.4 lbs. not 2 lb. 14 oz. It did make a difference to me (small female). I was looking for a leather bag which will last a lifetime or close to it. The leather is top notch but I had trouble closing and opening the zippers especially on curved sections. The zippers are also heavy duty, seem like brass - perhaps that is the problem. Also in the larger compartment there is a sectioned smaller area - this could use some kind of velcro or snap to keep it closed, it "gapped." Although the bag is eye-catching and from a known manufacturer (alas no longer made in the US), it could use a few tweaks, especially at this price.

I bought this to use as a diaper bag for my 10 month old son. I find that a backpack is much easier to carry all of his stuff as well as him at the same time. It is a great, stylish, high quality backpack. My only complaint is that the compartments are very tight and dont have much stretch to them to load them up with bulky items. On the bright side, there are so many compartments that this makes the perfect diaper bag!

I have had the Logan backpack for about 10 years. The best back pack ever, and I am not joking. It is an excellent size (i.e. not overly large, and definitely not too small.). The leather is thick and unbelievably strong. The pockets are just about right sizing .... I hate backpacks with a dozen small pockets. I'm certain that this back pack will go another 10 years.

I bought this two years ago for my 50th birthday gift to myself. It still looks new, but with character. I get compliments everywhere I go. It is sturdy, yet attractive.

This bag has been a staple in my fleet. It's been used nearly everyday for more than three years now and is still going strong. Without question the most durable bag I've ever owned.

I've been looking for a simple leather backpack like the one I had in college. I found it! The leather is soooo soft and already broken in. The patina is beautiful in cognac and looks like a well worn friend that had been on many adventures with me! The zippers are a little stiff, but I've found that to be true with most new leather products, that takes a little breaking in (or a little oil on the zipper). The straps and fit are perfect. I imagine the comments from a few years ago on poor stitching and the slipping straps were taken to heart by Frye and corrected because this bag is perfect. I like the no frills simple functional styling of the backpack with sleek lines. It's a great carry-on - no worries of things falling out or banging someone in the head boarding a plane. The compartment closest to your back fits a laptop and the big main compartment next to that can hold a days change of clothes, books, or the contents of a large handbag. What's nice about this backpack too is that the zippers only go down half way, so no chance of spills or things accidentally falling out unnoticed. This is a great bag or guys or gals. Love it.

The leathers is beautiful, but the zippers can be a little hard to zip or unzip at times.

I just purchased this backpack after an exhaustive, months long search for the perfect bag. I'm pleased to say that I've hit the jackpot. The leather is absolutely gorgeous with a soft, buttery feel. The straps are supportive and very comfortable to wear. And don't even get me started on the compartments and pockets. This bag has more than enough room to carry my laptop, iPad, wallet, notepad, pens, etc. It's a dream. With quality like this, I hope I don't ever have to buy another backpack again.

This is the perfect backpack! Initially, I was worried about buying a mens bag. I thought that it might be too big for me. I am so happy to be wrong! At 5'5", it fits me perfectly!! There are many compartments so that I can easily find everything I bring along. I chose the slate because it is a versatile color (can look both black or brown). I just can't be happier with this purchase!

I have owned this pack about a month and am very impressed with both the quality and utility. At the expense of a little extra weight, I would recommend a stiffner be added to the back. This backpack is replete with numerous, useful pockets and is constructed using very high quality leather. I could not be more pleased with this backpack.

Although this is a "men's" backpack I purchased it for myself anyhow and I couldn't be more satisfied! I ride, and need a backpack that is durable and large enough to hold everything I need including my helmet. I was looking for a backpack for awhile and the quality of Frye is unmatched!

I finally decided to purchase the guys backpack, just because it was a little bit bigger. I love the color and size. I was so excited to get it in and start carrying it! I have had so many compliments on the backpack and the wallet.

If you are even thinking about buying this, just do it! It's an awesome backpack that should last you a lifetime.

Perfect size ~ not big, not too small ~ beautifully made, clean simple lines, just the right size and number of pockets, but not overdone as some backpacks are with their 15 zippers. The shoulder straps are all leather which is quite uncommon. Glad I bought it ~ it's not cheap ~ and will probably leave it to someone in my will!
