A good staple, Levi's 512 Skinny in black is perfect for casual and semi-casual occasions. Only downside is that it is still leaving black marks on my legs and hands after being washed several times.

Back to basics! After dabbling in pricey jeans (don't get me wrong. They were all awesome but hard to justify wearing when running out for groceries), and 10 lbs gain, had to get some easy wearing jeans. These are like old friends, comfortable, stretchy and forgiving. Good shape. Nice change from low rise, see-my-underwear-when-I-stoop-down jeans. Good coverage. Slimming as promised. Even with my current weight, so I ordered a size bigger, it was slightly big. With the stretchy material, I would order my regular size next time.

I love the fit of the 512 Boot-Cut jeans, so I thought I would give these a try. Something is really wrong with the cut. The crotch is very short and the thighs of the jeans cinch in so that you get an awful, pinched bubble of thigh. It is really unattractive. These are going back

These jeans are so comfortable! They stretch with you! The size is right on and the black is very sleek and dark! I can tuck them in my boots too! They do not fade when you wash them. But do not put them in the dryer or they might.

I love these jeans. They are super comfortable, look great and don't get saggy after long hours of wear. The waist sits just below the navel -- and doesn't gap. These have become my go-to jeans. Highly recommend

These are absolutely the ugliest Levi's I've ever put on. They should be just called flat-out jeggings. They are made of like a leggings/sweatsuit material. Terrible and if you're curvy girl like me they just make you look 10 pounds heavier. They are a dark denim but it's woven with a white thread so when you put them on, they have a little light appearance. Please consider buying the mid rise jeans if you're going to go skinny because it's made of actual denim and has enough spandex to be forgiving.

The jeans are so comfortable and slenderizing. With a big plus - they hold in my tummy. And they are long enough. I am really happy with this purchase. I am 5'6", 145 pounds, pear shaped. The fit is fabulous. Size 14 hugs me at the waist, hips, thighs - they are perfect.

I love these jeans. And they don't fall down! In the past, I spent upwards of for a pair of jeans and always ended up unhappy with them. I am 5' 9" tall, very thin legs, narrow hips. The rise on these is perfect so they sit above my waist and stay there all day! This is my second year ordering these. Everyone ran out of the capris style last spring... plan to keep checking and order them early.

I was looking for a high rise jean and these are great. They are very comfortable, and have a lot of give with their stretchy material. The leg opening is not so much skinny as a slim straight cut opening, but this improves the jean to me and makes it more wearable with different kinds of shoes. I always have a tough time with jeans eventually bagging in the butt and these didn't do that. Wore them for 14 hours straight and no sag ! Very please with these jeans.

I am 66 years old, and a size 16. I never thought that I could wear skinny jeans, until I ordered them. I just love them, they wear well and look great as my husband says.

I didn't like these jeans. I love the fit of the 515, I wear a 6 in those, but in these jeans I wear a 10. The jeans aren't really skinny jeans at all, more of a straight leg, and they still bag in the knee. I thought maybe I needed an 8, but that didn't help the fit of the leg at the knee and below. The waist is also too high for my taste. I like a high waist jean but these weren't flattering. I didn't like the material, I know a skinny jean needs stuff to make it stretchy, but I have tried on skinny jeans that were better material and fit tighter.

These seem to be cut smaller than other Levi's, which is fine. I have a long waist and after 2 kids, a muffin top I'd like to cover. I think the waist too high personally for me. I am 5'7" and my waist is higher than most, so low and medium rise are really low on me, but these were too high for me and made me feel dated. I like the skinny leg.

I have the same jeans in another color but they are both very close. I was hoping these would be different.

Just had to add my 5-star review to all the others. These jeans are great: so comfortable, really flattering, great colors. If you grew up with old-fashioned 501's that had to be washed so they'd shrink to fit (like me), you have no idea how comfortable jeans can be and how great it is to get a super smooth fit. I love the higher waist because the low rise jeans make me have a muffin top even though I'm pretty darn thin. I ordered these jeans in Soulful Dark and am now ordering them in black. May even have to get more colors at this fabulous price too. I got an 8, and the fit couldn't have been better. I am 5'4", weigh 115 lb, and it's like the jeans were custom made. The length is perfect too, and I have long legs. One thing to note is that I would really call these straight-cut legs rather than skinny, which to me means almost like leggings. These are slim legs but not tight and clingy. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Had a great experience with Zappos, my ordered arrived the next day. I have ordered several times from Zappos and have never had a problem with anything I have ordered.

I love these jeans, I have the soulful dark and black. They are great with boots, or flats and the panel really keeps my belly in. The high waist prevents crack exposure! Tip: don't put them in the dryer. line/hanger dry and color and length will stay true longer.

It took decades & absolute necessity to lure me away -- even temporarily -- from my beloved 501's. Believe it or not, I'd never even tried on a pair of jeans that wasn't 100% cotton. However, a new job that required constant bending & squatting in hot weather convinced me that something had to change. Thus, I decided to try the 512's when I found them on sale and do I love them. I can move comfortably for work. Plus? I had to buy a second pair because I'd never had a pair of "skinny" jeans that I wanted to wear for longer than 10 seconds. They look hot with boots, 6" heels, or sandals and I can wear them all day. Love them. I wear a 27/30 & usually a 6, but the 4's fit like a charm: comfortable without bagginess.

I love these jeans! They fit like a glove and are so comfortable I might as well be wearing sweatpants. They wash and dry well with minimal shrinking. I did get one size larger from my usual, however, because I didn't want them skin tight, just slim. Since I bought the first pair of these great jeans I've purchased another and will undoubtedly buy more.

I love theses jeans. I am 52 years old, 5'5 and 130 lbs., 29" at the narrowest part of my waist, 39" at the hips and 23" at largest part of each thigh. I bought a size 8 and they fit perfectly. It's been a huge struggle to find jeans that fit my body as I've gotten older and my waistline is growing larger and softer. Even midrise jeans feel too low and uncomfortable anymore, as the waist always seems to fall right at my muffin top area, looking and feeling unpleasant. These 512 jeans are a higher rise jean, they cover my belly button. The material is super soft and stretchy, but I haven't had any real issues with them bagging out after an hour of wear, like other Levi's I have in my closet. Although these are labeled a skinny jean, they do not fit like the skinny jeans that younger women wear. They are a little looser thru the legs, and the ankles are not as snug. They should be more accurately labeled a slim cut jean. They are more of a classic fit. The one thing I did not like is the fact that the length is listed as 32", but one pair I bought is only 31". Levis has some quality control issues in that area that need to be addressed. Unless you have a short inseam, you won't be able to wear these with the high heeled shoes that the models in the picture are wearing. I wear mine with the flattest of flats. I like these jeans because they fit well, they look and feel age appropriate to me (both the cut and the colors) and they are so very comfortable. Younger women may find these are "mom" jeans, but if you are older and tired of trying to find jeans to fit and look like grown up jeans, you might want to give these a try. If you wear them with a nice blouse or cardigan and flats, they look very nice, nothing frumpy at all about them. I am so happy with my purchase that I'm going to buy 2 more pair right now, because nobody else, including Levis.com seems to sell these, which means they've probably been discontinued. Figures.

I love these jeans! I have two black and two soulful dark. They are really comfortable, even after washing them. I highly recommend them.

Finally sit on the waist jeans! No more love handles hanging! Love my Levi's, I have the light and dark color. They fit nice, are super comfortable, and true to size.

The jeans have a nice fit that sits at the waist no muffin top they look really good and feel comfortable, I have 6 pairs of these jeans in different colors, I won't wear anything else, the straight leg is a good choice too!
