I am a quilter and I also sew garments. I use an iron almost every day. I have owned everything from $10.00 irons to $150.00. I have to tell you this is the very best that I have ever owned. Lots of steam and love the easy just off, from dry to steam. Lots of heat, wouldn't trade it.

Amazing. The finest iron I've ever used...instant heat, clean steady steam, wide, easily guided surfaces, perfect ergonomics. Delivered immediately. A+.

Bought this for my mom who has had carpal tunnel surgery, and is an avid quilter. She really likes it and says it is pretty. The water does not need refilled as often as other irons, and in one pass, it smoothly eliminates wrinkles on most fabric. Her only complaint was that it is heavier than expected however.

I was having shoulder pain after an hour or so of ironing with my previous iron, and the clothes were just not looking good. Saw a consumers report about the Rowenta and though I had never paid this much for an iron thought it might be time. Love it. Lighter, more powerful steam, made a 100% difference. The cost for 100%, that is a deal.

Great Iron! Heats fast, awesome steam, narrow nose really gets into small spots! Love the color! Thanks Zappos for another great product and super great service!

Great iron. The steam option works extremely well. It's heavy enough to press, but not too heavy that it's a burden to use.

This is my first iron. I used to work in the woods and never needed one. I am by no means an expert on irons, but this little number gets the job done. The steam is powerful and it gets hot incredibly quickly, which is handy when I'm rushing to iron shirts before work. The color scheme is pretty sweet; irons aren't usually aesthetically pleasing, but this one is. The auto-shut off feature seems to be very active, because you can hear it work.

My old Rowenta Iron died on a Sunday night. On Monday I got online to look for a new iron. After reading the reviews I ordered the Eco. I ordered it on Monday, it came the next morning. I was using it in the afternoon. You can't ask for better service than that! The price at Zappos was the best I found, and most of all I love my new iron.

The Rowenta Eco has performed very well for me. I use it several times a week, for clothing and for quilting prep. Heats and cools quickly, moves very smoothly. The burst of steam is quite effective. The right- or left- hand steam lever is convenient. The only drawback for me it its weight - it's heavy -- if you have any arthritis in your wrists it may be a problem for you.

I have never owned this brand of iron before, but saw many types and models from this company. Overall the Rowenta irons seem to receive high marks. I do a lot of sewing and quilting and kept seeing this particular model as being one for those purposes. I purchased this model based on its reputation, ratings and features. I have had it now for a few weeks, and so far so good! Beautiful looking iron for sure, but it also is quite functional and relatively lightweight. It heats up quickly and really does the job, with plenty of steam that lasts. The water tank is easy to fill and easy to see the water level. The only concerns I have with this particular brand is the type of water to be used. Depending upon which model Rowenta you choose, there are many types of water you simply should not use (bottled, soft, distilled...). That being said, it seems to be an excellent product.

This iron is awesome! I have never been so excited to get & use an iron like I was when this one arrived on my doorstep. This iron is: pretty weighty but still easy to use steam. Lots of steam. I love it! 3d sole plate....400 microsteam holes. Awesome! Precision tip. Over/around buttons. Easy as 1, 2, 3 10-oz water tank gets me through 3-4 pcs of clothing b4 having to refill it. Self cleaning. Fabulous! No no no water leakage! Everything about this iron makes it worth the asking price. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. I went online right away & registered it. Thanks Rowenta & Zappos! Zappos? You guys/gals rock! I ordered (VIP) this iron on July 10 & I received it July 11. The absolute best!

I hate ironing, but this iron makes this boring household chore "enjoyable." Great product, very easy to use, and it's quite pretty...for an iron!

This is one great iron. It's worth the extra cost and if you are a perfectionist ironer this is your iron. The only gripe is that the cord could be a couple of feet longer.

This iron was purchased to replace my 13 year old iron. So far, this iron does everything it claims it will, gets plenty hot and provides lots of steam. The reasons for the four stars in all categories are: OVERALL: cord is just too short, period. COMFORT: the way the cord is attached to the iron so it can rotate can pinch if your hand if it is low enough on the handle; the handle itself is a too close to the heat control dial and therefore the dial can easily be hit; the design of the handle also allows you to accidentally hit the steam lever turning it off. STYLE: the basic design is very good, but the above handle design issues should be addressed by Rowenta.

Great service - speedy delivery, as advertised. Too soon to evaluate the product. I've used it a couple of times, but need a few more before I rate the product.

I bought this iron based on the glowing reviews and because my old iron, which died after almost ten years, was a Rowenta, and I liked it. However, I've only used it once and already I'm disappointed. I wonder if somehow I got a lemon. It irons great, BUT the cord is way too short and requires that your ironing board be very close to the outlet if you want to iron things out on the end of your ironing board. Secondly, the water reservoir holds only enough to make it through about 1.5 shirts, which seems much less than other irons I've had. Also, when you fill the iron, you have to pour the water very slowly to keep it from overflowing. The manual also makes a big deal about the type of water to use: no distilled, no filtered, no softened. I have reverse osmosis drinking water and have always used it in irons, but the manual doesn't address RO water, which many people have if their tap water supply contains sulfur or other bad-tasting ingredients. My water service person said RO would be fine, but he did not understand why distilled wouldn't work. Distilled water is corrosive to metals, but the water reservoir is plastic. One last complaint is that the iron is tricky to set on its heel. The cord comes out at a strange angle and keeps it from setting up securely unless you are very careful. After all those complaints, I still have to admit that the iron does a great job of ironing: probably the best of any iron I've ever used, even the much fancier, earlier Rowenta I had. Bottomline: it irons excellently, just not too conveniently.
