Positives first: Very stylish bag with two-way carrying of top handles or cross-body. Outside top zipper compartment holds an iPad nicely. Color options (black/brown) offered a classic contrast. Brass accessories and zippers were substantial. Negatives: Heavy even when empty. I typically like bigger bags (hence more weight) but this one is beyond comfortable to carry. No outside cell phone pocket, although outside zipper pockets could be used for phone. I prefer a slip pocket built into the leather. Deep, main inside compartment makes finding items difficult, plus the fabric matches the main outside leather color (black) - so it was like looking in a black hole. I debated long on whether to return the bag because I liked the look so much. In the end, I decided to do so as the functionality and comfort were not acceptable. Zappos is great though, and I will continue to shop with them. Considering the Fossil Vintage Reissue Tote.

This is a beautiful tote! The leather is soft. The tote is roomy, it holds everything I need to carry, yet did not look bulky. I had ordered the Dooney & Bourke Florentine Satchel and was not pleased with the leather. The Fossil Explorer tote exceeded my expectations. You cannot go wrong with Fossil.

Great bag, but why has Fossil stopped using all-leather carrying straps on most of their bags? For the price, one would expect more quality!

Purchased the Fossil Explorer Tote in Cordovan its a nice deep berry color. I was looking for something of quality yet understated for everyday use. It's comfortable as a cross-body and the handles are just enough to hang around your wrist. The opening on top was not as wide as I anticipated, it was about 11 1/2 in length so my 15"x9" laptop would have to go in vertically. I was able to fit a soft 3 ring binder vertically along with some other soft cover books and the top was able to fall as seen. Its strong enough for everyday use the front pockets are deep and I think I'll get some other colors for variety.

I just got the fir green bag and I absolutely love it! The leather is really soft and the green was a really pretty color. I would get the hobo if you do not want or need to carry too much. This bag is fairly large and a tad bit heavier even empty. I am using it as a briefcase to carry things I need for work. I absolutely love Fossil products and will buy from them more in the future.

I absolutely love this bag, it has tons of room, and alot of compartments to make it easy to find things, I have gotten many many compliments on this bag. The leather is very soft I got the russet color, which really goes with most of my shoes. So far this is the best bag from Fossil yet. When I saw it in Macy's I knew that I just had to have it. You will love it. Great for traveling also.

Gorgoeous bag. Worth the splurge ;) Very soft leather, spacious with interior dividing pockets. The bag was surprisingly heavy though. Peacock is a nice color, not to bright but not boring.

This bag is great for one exception. If you buy the black bag it is like a bottomless pit. The lining should not be black like the bag, not under nay circumstances. Everything that I put in the bag should be bright. My wallet is bright, my keys are in a bright orange key pouch, my compact is bright blue. It's ridiculous but I needed a black cross body. I already own 2 brown cross body bags. So if you purchase this color, be prepared to dig for your stuff like an archeologist. If you are short, this bag my be a little long to carry. I am 5'10", and the bag is long for me, but it doesn't bother me.

This bag has great possibilities but I am returning it because the lining is the same color and it becomes like a bottomless pit when you are searching for items. The leather is great quality, but it is a very heavy bag because of it.

I have four of these totes already, so I just had to have it in Baked Apple too. This is the best bag ever made. I love Fossil products. I have my whole life in my pocketbook, so it's roomy interior is perfect for me. I recommend this bag to anyone that wants style as well as functionality.

I love this bag. Lots of compartments (it will hold about anything you'd want to drag around all day) and fabulous style. The leather has that yummy buttery feel we all want. The adjustable, across the body, strap is perfect they got it exactly right on the strap and the handle is actually large enough to put your arm through, so they nailed that as well. Here's the downside - because of the hardware, it weighs like a Buick. It's really heavy even when empty. I originally saw this bag in the brown, but thought the black would be more versatile; however, the brown handles on the black bag have an oddly cheap appearance which I don't remember with the brown version. Overall, I'm still very pleased with this bag. I'd purchase it again even knowing that I'm giving my biceps a work out every time I pick it up. Not a bag for sissies.

I love this bag for travel. It had everything that I wanted for my trip to another country. Lots of pockets that are protected by zippers. The top folds over so it's impossible for someone to get into it without you noticing it. The strap is adjustable so I was able to wear it as a shoulder bag and a cross body when I needed to. The strap is also a very sturdy seatbelt type of fabric, so it wouldn't be easy for someone to cut it off. I was visiting lots of very touristy spots including bazaars where we were walking with the flow like sardines. It was great not to have to worry about my personal belongings. It also fits a lot of stuff, especially in the large tote compartment. The downside is that it is on the heavy side and I find that this strap is just not nice enough for my everyday life at home. It's more utilitarian looking than my style. However, I solved that with the Fossil Erin tote!

Very nice bag. I love the room. Having some problems with the zippers I think because of where the zippers are. Nice heavy bag. I like the strap the fact that you can wear is lots of ways. It is heavy. Folds almost in half. Huge inside section. Worth the money.

I purchased this bag in a dark tobacco brown for a 10 month trip to France. I had been looking for a stylish cross-body bag that I could comfortably carry around town, through markets and museums, and on trains. This fit the bill perfectly. The leather is soft and buttery and the heavy duty woven strap is easily adjustable (even when you are wearing it). There are lots of pockets to hold objects of varying size - and a large internal pocket to store more valuable items. Even when filled to capacity the bag is low profile which was ideal for exploring small shops, etc. While this bag is fairly heavy even when empty, I never had a problem carrying it - no sore shoulders or back - even after all day treks. I was not overly careful with this bag - it has been rained on, sat in a puddle of coffee, and banged around. But it has aged beautifully - no loose threads or stains. That is a true testament to the quality! I would buy this bag again, 100 times over! It is worth every pretty penny.

Beautiful handbag! The leather is soft and expensive looking. I have gotten so many compliments and friends have told me that of all my handbags, this is their favorite. It is roomy, but doesn't look overly large.

I love this Fossil purse! It is so soft and has both silver and gold hardware, making it very versatile. You can use it as a purse and fit a tablet at the same time. Not as big as a messenger bag, but perfect for peeps like me who need a big purse. Oh, and did I mention how rich and soft the leather is?

I am a picky shopper. At first I bought this in black, but it looked like I was carrying around a laptop bag. So I exchanged for the red. The fabric strap is great. I have another fossil cross-body with a leather strap that is coming apart where stitched from being shortened/lengthened. The strap on this may get a little pilly after a while but it can be cleaned and will hold up to being shortened/lengthened back and forth. There is so much room in this bag! Of course if you pack it full, it's going to be heavy. The strap is wide enough to take off some of the load, and not pull the skin on my neck. I plan to keep this one forever and use it when I need to carry a little extra. I love the vintage style zips. Just a good bag!

I already had this tote bag in black (that matched my Fossil Morgan Traveler shoulder bag) & needed something for spring and summer. This is a great tote bag, although not really designed to be used as a briefcase unless you aren't carrying file folders. The top is narrower than the bottom so they don't slide in sideways, & if vertical, they will bend. But it works great for carrying business card files, a small padfolio, digital camera, business cards, pens, and other things I use for volunteer work. I love this tote and use it a lot. Even in the aqua, it is professional in appearance, and the leather is smooth, soft, and something you'll keep stroking as long as nobody's looking. Was a great price, and better than what I paid for the black bag on eBay. Free shipping, too! Super deal, and I'll shop here again!

It fits just about everything without it being too bulky. On a typical day I carry a wallet, iPad, a few small snacks and a book without it being too bulky. At first the purse was too wide for my liking but eventually I ended up liking the size/width of the bag, especially since I travel often and like to carry one bag with all the important items. Only "Con" is that the light brown leather handles get scratched easily. Overall I would highly recommend this purse!

I loved the look and colors. It's hugely roomy and has several convenient pockets. It is heavy even empty so if you're not interested in carrying a ton then it isn't for you. Fossil is always well made. I was able to find a coin purse in the same style but couldn't find a matching wallet.

I bought this tote for my daughter. She loves everything about it, the softness of the leather, the pockets, the lining, the option to carry as a brief case, on the should, or across the body. I'm considering buying another one for myself now that I've looked at it. I see why she loves it so much!

I love this bag! It has lots of room, The 2 zippered compartments on the outside are the depth of the purse, the zippered pouch on the inside is bigger than average which is really nice. If you are looking for a lightweight purse this is not for you. It's a little heavy but what do you expect from leather, personally it doesn't bother me. If you are looking for big pockets, and a lot of room, this one is for you!

Love this bag. The leather is gorgeous pebbled and rich. I bought the color cordovan and could not be happier. Perfect as a cross shoulder bag.

I received this as a gift and absolutely LOVE this bag. I got it in the "honey" color and as with all Fossil bags, the leather is really soft. I can't say enough good things about Fossil bags in general as they always are very well made products with great style. No complaints!
