I've been looking for boots like this for a year and finally found these. Was a little concerned about sizing because I've had problems with Chinese Laundry running small in the past so I ordered a 9 (half size up) and hoped for the best. They fit great! The color is exactly what I was looking for and the style is very cute. I wish the shaft was a little tighter, but this way they work with anything from tights (slouchy fit) to cuffed jeans (tighter fit with a little slouch). I'm also tall and very long-legged (35 inch inseam) and the height if these boots is the main reason I chose to order. So hard to find something that reaches past my knee. I like that they're light, but don't know how sturdy they'll be once the Minnesota weather starts, but for now I love them. Very reasonable price for a great boot.

The color is true to the picture. I wear 8.5 shoes and I buy 9 boots (for socks and comfort) and the sizing seemed appropriate. I am 5'11 and it is hard to find tall boots - the front went above my knee which was nice. I did not like the sharp angle from the top of front to top of back, and I didn't like the overall look of the back on top. I would have liked the height to be even around, and I wish the circumference were smaller. I wasn't crazy about the look of the boot portion (a little too thin and pointy for me) but that is a style preference. Good looking boot and I would recommend, just wasn't what I was looking for.

I have bought these or similar style boots from Chinese Laundry every year since 2011 in Cognac and in Black. I wear them almost every day, and they're AMAZING. I get TONS of compliments on them. They're comfortable, stylish, and great with jeans, leggings, or just socks. The only downside is that I have bought a new pair every year since I've worn them to the point that the soles come off and the toes rip, but for cute boots at this price, I don't really care. Best boots ever!

Love these boots. They fit well, are easy to get on/off and are so stylish! They seemed a bit narrow at first, but with silk socks, my feet slide right in. Just what I wanted!

This is a perfect casual, over the knee boot. I also have thick calves and this boot shaft is wide enough! Love them!

I bought these for work and they are so comfortable, as I am on my feet all day. The boot is rather thin and flimsy, but they serve their purpose. I've have gotten compliments on them. This is my first Chinese Laundry purchase.

The boots are really nice and I would have followed the previous reviews but they did not have a half size up at the time (a 9) so I ordered my real size (an 8 1/2) and the boots are just a little to small. They feel fine when you are sitting but when you are walking it is tight and I walk a great deal most days so I can't get away with a shoe that is just a little too tight. All in all order a half size up.

I have worn these twice and I love them. They are so comfortable and they don't fall down. I want a pair in another color.

I like them a lot! For the price they are very high quality and are holding up well. My only complaint is that they don't stand up on their own, the leather is too soft and the fit too loose. I would prefer a construction that could stand up on its own because I prefer that look, butI still wore them all winter and loved them...

Nice boots! There's a little extra room just in case thick socks need to be worn. I'm 4'11 and the boots come just above my knees. They're pretty comfortable and stylish. The one thing I hated was that the front of the boots were scratched really easily.

I am on my second pair of these. They are staple in my closet and have been for years. I have really wide calves and I wear them with jeans, leggings and skirts with tights. They only last a season or two, but totally worth it. Any Chinese Laundry Boot with the stretch panel in the back will be good for a large calf. I am also tall and I like the height on these. There isn't any arch support but if you order them a little bigger wearing a bigger sock or putting sports in is easy. It's not a snow boot, but good in cold weather. Can't say enough about this brand for a fun boot.

I LOVE these boots. the only problem I have is with the width in the calf. I am about 5'10 and wear a 6 pants (for an idea on my size). I had to safety pin the back part to make them work. There is a 2" section of elastic on the back side, I suppose for extra width-so you can make them smaller if that was gone, or taken in. Other than that- they are great. Love the quality and look!

I Love my boots, and they are very comfortable. The only issue I find is that I have to keep pulling the left boot up because it slouches a lot more than the right, other than that I am very pleased and I get many complements. I loved the free shipping and I received them a lot sooner than expected.

I love these boots. Even for a 5'1" girl these are perfect over the knee boots. They were a little big in the ankles so I am returning for a smaller size.

The leather on these boots is thin, but since I am planning on wearing them as dress boots only, that is not a problem. Having read the reviews, I ordered 1/2 size up and that solved the problem. I think the boots are attractive, but not for everyday wear.

Love these boots bought in both colors! but they run VERY small and usually wear a 7.5 but needed an 8.5, so it was a bit of a hassle to finally find a size that fit... at least Zappos made the return/reorder process incredibly easy!

Overall, I like these boots. The price is reasonable. I found a coupon so I paid a little less for them. I love how the boots cover my knees. My only complaint is that they are a little big on my calves and ankles which makes it look a little funny. They are also slippery. I almost fell wearing these boots for the first time. The bottom do not have much support.

Such a cute boot. Fit true to size for me. I'm 5'8 and the shaft of the boot was the perfect height; covering the entirety of my knee.

Love the look of the boot. The one thing is around the calf it was very tight. If you wear a 9, get a 10.

These are super cute, great color and the leather is a great quality. They do run small, I always wear a 9 and I need to exchange these for a 9.5...hopefully the fit is better.

When these boots arrived, I really liked them and thought for the cost, I couldn't go wrong. After wearing them a few times, I decided I didn't like them quite as much since I felt like they were slouching down quite a bit. Now when I wear them I feel like I'm always pulling them up. I do have kind of small calves so that may be part of the problem. I still wear them, but if I had to do it over again, I would probably try to find a pair that wasn't quite so slouchy looking. If you like the slouchy look, then they're perfect, but that wasn't what I thought they were when I bought them. I must say that I feel they are pretty comfortable, though. I'm on my feet a lot and I could definitely handle a full day in these.

Bought these on sale on this website. I was excited it was leather, on sale, and stylish. Then after they came in the mail almost seemed like overnight I was excited too. I bought a size bigger just to be on the safe side because to me they are considered dress shoes. They fit well a little on the wide side (I have wide feet) but I figure, hey, I'll wear thick socks any way during the cold. Then after a while I noticed they started talking in the front. (What No!) I liked these shoes and they can go with any outfit. I was upset guess I have to take them to the man that fixes shoes to add a piece so it does not detach completely. I was very disappointed. I expected more from Chinese Laundry boots.

These seem only so-so for the price. Thin sole that I would have to put an insole in and though I have muscular calves these slid right on. So plenty roomy. I ordered a size up as the reviews suggested and found that these were then too large. Perhaps just a 1/2 size up would be better.
