I loved these shoes, possibly too much. The were cute, stylish and comfortable with just the right amount of heel height and shaft height to hide socks. However they didn’t last. The faux binding around the sole started coming off and flopping around, the leather is so delicate and scratches so easily, the shoes started looking worn and beat up after just a couple of months. I expected them to last longer for the high price I paid.

These are lovely and stylish. The small wedge is comfortable to wear all day (I work in retail). The grey and brown combination is gorgeous and goes with everything. I get achy arches and pronate badly but these boots were supportive and work with my peculiar hobbit-like feet. They are worth every penny!

Confession: I threw these in with the rest of an order, mostly intending to send them back. I just wanted the luxury of trying on such a beautiful shoe (and it wasn't a smart financial purchase). I figured (like usual) I wouldn't be able to handle a heel. And as soon as I tried them on, I thought the deal was sealed—they immediately felt tight, right where my wide foot sticks out strangely. I resigned myself to having to return them, but just decided to appreciate the beauty for a minute. BUT...as I walked around my living room admiring how cute they were, the leather immediately softened, within just a few minutes of having them on. I tried them on a few more times, marveling that I could actually wear something with a heel, as a certified non-heel-wearer. (Think the baby deer walk, or just not being able to walk at all.) Something about the wedge and the low height makes these a breeze. While I wouldn't exactly go hiking in them (something I have done on a whim with some of my other "fashion" boots...Borns, looking at you), I survived a few parties wearing them and they just seem to get more comfortable with each wear. I am not a heel wearer, but these make me feel like an instant leggy supermodel. I purchased the brown but it is not quite as pictured—more of a true brown with dark brown straps than the camel-y tone pictured. Honestly, I would prefer it to be a bit more camel or reddish, but these shoes are just so dang cute I catch myself staring at my feet. Before I committed to wearing these out of the house, I did try the wine color, and it takes on a much more "Victorian" or goth feel in that color. It's almost purplish. In the brown, it just comes across as a modern, cute shoe with the faintest of Victorian style, which worked better for my particular style. One downside, these do scuff very quickly with the slightest brush against anything. I seem to prefer soft leather shoes and I guess that's just the breaks! I do like things to look a bit vintage, so don't mind, but if you are going for a very polished like-new look, something to be aware of. I saw that wedges were out and just don't care—these are too cute with skirts, skinny jeans, and prairie dresses. They are my new favorite going out shoe.

I bought these shoes to go to Europe in and after coming back, I can't stop wearing them. They are ultra comfortable and basically match all of my Fall outfits. I got a lot of compliments on them too. Highly recommend if you want to look stylish while covering a lot of ground.

These boots are gorgeous, well made as everyone says. The leather is very soft. However I am surprised that others think they run big as I found them to run very small. I wear a 10-10½ and ordered a 41 and it was very tight. I had to exchange for a 42.

I love these boots. I'm 5'8" so any higher wedge than this is a little unnecessary and finding a cute wedge at this height is hard. I work in a concrete environment and they are comfortable for an all day work day. The style of these boots are what drove me to purchase them. The quality of the details is why I kept them. For the price, I would say that the footbed near the toes could be a little "cushier", hence, the four stars...but other than that, they're perfect. Thank you Eric Michael! These shoes are fabulous. The leather is so soft and comfortable, they are ready to put on and go, no need to wait until they're broken in. The arch support is great and the straps are functional, so you can adjust the width, which is great for when you're just wearing them with tights and maybe want them to be a little more snug then when you've got on some socks. The wedge heel is super comfortable, and so far I've worn them in the rain without any concerns re traction or slipping. I bought them despite the fact that they're a bit pricier then I would have liked, but it turns out they are totally worth it. Did I mention how soft the leather is? Like butter.

High Quality boot. Beautiful. But too narrow for me. I comfortably wear a wide shoe but can sometimes get away with wearing a "normal" width; however, not with this shoe. It was too tight; too narrow for my feet. Have to return.

I love these booties!! I have worn them in the wine color for 3 years and they still look and feel great and they go with practically everything. My feet tend to be wide and many brands are too narrow, but these fit me well and are so comfortable. I get frequent compliments whenever I wear them. Worth the money, for sure!!

This runs narrow. I can't size up because then it will be too long in the toe box. Too bad because these are super cute.

Loved these boots--hubby did not. Too punk rocker for him--I don't get it. FYI, the brown buckles on the black boot are not as contrasting as shown in the photo. Very dark brown against the black instead of reddish brown against black.

I just received my boots and they are so great. I tried them in yesterday and they are a bit narrower than I expected and of course my right foot is a tad larger than my left. However after I had them on for a few minutes the leather started to stretch so they are definitely keepers. More expensive than I normally would pay and they are worth it super cute. I’ll be able to wear them for work and play.

I wore these 3 years straight - every winter (Austin, TX). This was the year I had to glue the piping back to the sole. Definitely recommend!! I did buy a size larger after reading the reviews, I'm a 8.5, so went with 9.5 and it fit perfectly. Always get great comments when I wear this boot.

These boots are beautiful and I love them. They gray is a bot more olive but still a very nce color to the contrasting color of the buckles.

These boots are so comfortable. The leather is very soft and the sole is sturdy. The brown straps are more muted than what is shown in the photo so the contrast with the black boot is not as evident. Paid more than I normally would for boots but these were worth it.

Unusual look, goes well with everything though. Love the short wedge, very comfortable. True to size. Will get the black ones next!

I have used Zappos for about 10 years. I wear a size 5 so there is rarely a shoe that fits at the shoe store thus leading me to internet shoe shopping. Zappos is my hero for that! But I am really bad about writing reviews, I never write them! Until now! In the past two years, specifically the past two months I have tried over 25 different winter shoes/boots. I almost gave up hope. I said a little prayer and then I found these wonderful, no, amazing boots! They are a very soft leather, no break in time required. They fit like a glove, not like a tennis shoe or a tie up shoe, there is a little movement but I have yet to meet a boot that doesn't have that. The movement does not cause blisters for me. I can wear a thin or thick sock to adjust movement if its a issue but its not an issue for me, my previous Naot boots, 7 years old, has movement, I'm used to it. These boots get a thumbs up from my 15 year old and 6 year old sons! They go with my boot cut cords and jeans and my skinny jeans, I bet skirts too, beautifully and will look fancy enough for church or chic enough for errands. I got them mostly for church and nice occasions. They have a lot of cute details and the best part...they are not made in China! They are made in Spain! I liked them so much and I have such a difficult time finding shoes I wasted no time coming back a day later and ordering a black pair. They are expensive and I do feel a bit guilty purchasing two pairs but if you treat them as an investment, take care of them they should last for many years! Another boot I had success with in this same shipment, although not as nice was the Enzo Angiolini Nevadia.

I tried to purchase this boot and my size wasn't available. Zappos notified me when it was available which was only just a few days later. The boots were worth the wait! So comfortable and really cute! I read previous reviews that they were really comfy and they are! The black with the brown straps makes them a perfect fit for my go to Fall outfits! Love love!

Gorgeous boots. The leather is soft and just beautiful. I loved these boots. Unfortunatley, I cannot wear a 2" heel any longer. I will look for another pair of Eric Michaels in lower heel. The craftsmanship and material were superb.

Lena's black and brown combo (in which the two colors ARE markedly different from each other, despite another reviewer's insistence), the vaguely steampunk/Victorian styling, and the non-skid outsole and wedge heel drew me to this boot after pouring over HUNDREDS OF PAIRS in an effort to find a multi-functional boot. Made in Spain, the Lena appears very sumptuous in person and looks expensive. The footbed is comfortable and the heel height is totally Goldilocks: just right. It gives a little lift without compromising comfort or balance. They are quite fitted around the ankle and only the skinniest of leggings and skinny jeans will fit inside the boot unless you have suer petite ankles. I initially ordered the 41 based on customer reviews and the Eric Michael size chart that likens the 41 to a 10-11. I would disagree. The size 41 corresponded to a 9 1/2-10 or "true ten". It was too snug in the length and was too tight over the instep (but I have a high arch). As I am closer to a 10-10 1/2, I sized up to the 42, which fit well. The quality of the leather differed between the two pairs. Both were real leather, but the larger pair was much softer and less rigid. The larger pair, that I did end up keeping, BTW, did have some minute cosmetic imperfections in the grain of the leather. The smaller pair, however, suffered from a barely perceptible problem that just drove me nuts; the "tongue" of one boot was a few centimeters shorter than the other and the buckles' notch spacing were not consistent between the pair. Handmade shoes are just that, handmade, and one expects that there will be greater attention to detail in the individual pairs and construction than a machine-made item. Of some concern is the leather-wrapped heels; I have a real love/hate relationship with them. I just hope it will be durable enough to withstand everyday wear without rubbing or gouging.

These shoes are beautiful, very comfortable, and the heel is a perfect height. Unfortunately, I have to return them, as they are a bit small and don't carry a larger size. I usually wear a 10, but they were too snug with a sock.

Fit and size were good. Quality is excellent.

Perfect. Soooo comfortable. I was looking for a go to bootie for this winter. I like this show so much when I purchased it 4 years ago after wearing 4 years I went right back to this style after trying on many other pairs. Nothing compared to the fit, comfort and just overall all cute look for professional slacks to jeans to skirts and dresses! I love this style and shoe.
