This is a very nice mixed business/walking shoe. I ordered a number of shoes to try out as a single pair I could take on travel to walk around all day in, but still be nice enough looking to take to meetings or nice dinners, and ended up picking these. After putting them through their paces, I'm not disappointed. While not a sports shoe, they enough enough support, cushioning and breathability to be comfortable for hours of walking. And while they're not dress shoes, they get the job done in decent style.

My 3rd pair of Mephisto and each one is better than he last. Took these to Paris last week walked 8-10 miles per day and felt great

I have about 5 pairs of Mephisto shoes, some are 15 yrs old still good shoes. I have sent some back to Mephisto for new soles and they are like new but already broke in. These shoes are the same high quality. They look good with dress slacks or jeans. They are very comfortable all day long. I would recommend these shoes.

My husband loves these shoes. He has a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable, stylish for work and yet practical for Minnesota winters. These shoes are THE ones. This is his second pair.

Awesomely comfortable! Pricey, but worth every penny (dollar!) because they are well-made, all leather uppers, comfy sole, and fit like a glove. Hated to spend so much on a shoe, but they fit and feel like no other. Previously wore only Clarks and Merrells because of Mephisto's prices, but neither offer the comfort these do. Needed a shoe that did not look like a sneaker or hiker for Europe, and this one fit what DH wanted and needed. Picky about the feel on the sole, and this one offered excellent cushy support and soft strike on pavement. Neither Merrells or Clarks had this balance of style and sole comfort. Go ahead and splurge if you want comfort and style!

Best and most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. I stand and walk long periods all day at work. Very comfortable all day long.

Comfortable shoe...have walked all over SF in them. They seem to fit a little big. Probably would go for the lace-ups next time.

I've owned only one pair of Mephisto shoes before purchasing this pair. I loved the first pair (they were a pair of Allrounders), and this pair continues my love of this brand. The shoes were very comfortable right out of the box; no need to break them in. I have them for wearing around the office and prefer them to tennis shoes. As my previous pair, the size 12 fit best when I normally wear a 13 in other brands. I've owned them for about 2 months, wearing them almost every day. I hope they last as long as the first pair; I have a feeling they will.

These shoes are so comfortable that I immediately bought second pair , even in contempt of their comparably high price. My son, whom I bought they for, told me that it is the first pair in his life which is more comfortable than sandals. He wears these shoes anywhere: for office, for long driving, for walking. Absolutely perfect shoes. Good for any weather, not heavy, soft and giving great support. Right size, right width.

What a great shoe! My son is so fussy, he is a size 13 and wide. These shoes fit him like a sneaker and feel like one too. It is a slip on shoe but with the pants you can't tell. He loves it. Mephisto is terrific and Zappos always makes me more impressed every time. They even sent the shirts I ordered after the shoes all together. Even if the price is more than other sites, Zappos makes me feel like a princess by sending everything the next day. Thanks Zappos for making my life less stressful by not waiting forever for an item.

I bought these shoes because I'd had a similar pair by Mephisto before -- they were wonderfully comfortable and they lasted for years. This new pair seems the same, have been wearing them daily since I got them.

Mephisto continues to make genuinely comfortable and high quality shoes. The price is higher than I'd like, but I keep coming back for more. They' re worth it!

I bought this shoe because due to some foot problems I needed a shoe with excellent build and support and this was one of the few brands out there that wasn't flimsy. It fits a tiny bit loose which means my custom orthotic can replace the existing insole. I've noticed that some of the stitching along the top is starting to fray after not that much use. Won't know if that will continue to get worse or not. I don't expect that to happen on a shoe at this price point. So far its not a big problem.

I ordered these and a black pair. The black pair were made in Portugal where Mephisto has been making their shoes for years. The black pair from Portugal were exemplary in all respects. The brown pair were made in Croatia and they were noticeably different. They were a bit wider and the sole and inner liner appeared different. The overall quality of the brown pair made in Croatia was markedly inferior. Maybe I just got a bad pair but I would be very careful about getting shoes not made in Portugal. The shoes, when made properly, are extremely comfortable and are quite dressy despite the comfort. They are very nice looking.

These are great looking shoes. They are very comfortable. I ordered two pairs, and both had one shoe which squeaked on walking. That was very disappointing because they were so comfortable. I had to return both.
