Great boot. Travel out West to ski frequently and these are not only comfortable and great for adverse weather, but they are also ideal for the TSA airport security lines - easy on and off. Had never heard of brand previously but would highly recommend.

I was looking for some boots that would work in the snow but aren't bulky or too warm, and these fit the bill perfectly. They aren't the prettiest things, but they are extremely comfortable. They do break in around the ankles as you wear them. If you have larger ankles these probably won't be good for you.

Ordered a pair of these in my husbands size for a Christmas gift but they were too small. Zappos makes returns super simple so I ordered a whole size larger. They look great and my husband is really excited to start wearing them.

Definitely have to be broken in to get a comfortable experience but love that they are nearly non-slip. Great ankle support!

Be warned that getting the right size of this boot is difficult; I would recommend trying it in person somewhere before ordering it on-line. Took 4 orders to get it right for me and my daughter. I have been a women's 9.5 my entire adult life and a 9.5 in this boot fits more like an 8.5. So it's not true to size at all. The further difficulty is that this boot is really only available in whole sizes due to the fact that half sizes are not longer in length, they are merely the "wide" version (take my word for this, half sizes truly are not longer in length). I ended up with a 10.5 (10 doesn't seem to be available in the style and color I wanted) which is a huge jump up in width, so much that I had to buy a $40 insole to get this to fit. They really need to make this in "real" half sizes. Having said all of the above, it's a very on-trend boot and well made so I think it will last a long time. The Rustic Brown color is unique and has that lived-in look which is nice if you want it to look worn from the start.

Finally found “my size” in a Blundstone with the classic 550 after trying 5 other pairs in various sizes and styles. I truly wish the half sizes added a bit of length and not just width. In my otherwise optimal size, my longest toe touches the end just enough to cause concern. But the next size up is a full 1/2” longer which is a very big jump. It felt too huge until I added the included extra insert under the insole, which makes it wearable with thick socks. I marked style down a point because the AU 6.5 (Women’s US 9.5) still has a “cute” flattering shape and the AU 7 (Women’s US 10) does not… it has more of a “clodhopper” look because of the length that really disappointed me because I didn’t need “ this much” extra length but had to go up to the 10 because the 9.5 is not longer than the 9. For context, I normally wear 8.5 or 9 in most shoes.

I agree with the reviewers who say this runs a bit small. The 585 is a thicker leather than other Blundstones, which results in a slightly tighter fit. I am a US womens 8 and hoped that the boots would stretch a bit, being leather and all, but after a month of wear I'm realizing they are still just a smidge too snug. Blundstones won't refund so I sold them locally since they are such a popular boot. But I agree it's frustrating Blundstones doesn't offer true half sizes since the US womens 9 felt pretty big on me as well, even with the insert. I don't think we need to force a size to work by adding an insert, either. Please Blundstones offer true half sizes moving forward....

This are good solid boots. The high ankle rubbed in back- too much for me to enjoy these. Exchanging them for another style.

I think that I am in between sizes. The US size 8 was too small feeling and the US size 9 is too big feeling. I stuck with the 9 and out in the extra insole which helped a little. I understand that the half sizes for Blundstone only apply to the width? Anyway, seem to be a good product but may end up reselling

The verdict is still out whether I keep these boots or not. None of the sizes fit me perfectly and I don't normally have issues finding a good fit. I'm a US women's 9.5 and after reading reviews to order a half size down, I ordered the AU 6. Though comfortable in every other way, my toe was right at the end. I returned and ordered the AU 6.5 and same thing, the length fit exactly the same as the AU 6. I returned them and ordered the AU 7 and now have a thumb space at the end of my toe and they just feel a bit too loose overall. Thicker socks help but the fit isn't perfect.

Love the look of these but the fit was tricky. These boots are unisex and in AUS sizes. I normally wear a US Women's 9.5 and after reading reviews that the boot runs a little large I decided to order the AUS 6 (US Wm 9). Roomy, but my toes were right and the end of the toe box so back they went and reordered an AUS 6.5, thinking they would be perfect. But, no, they fit EXACTLY the same as the AUS 6! So, back they went and ordered another half size larger AUS 7 (US Women's 10). The length a bit longer and fit a bit too roomier than I like but ended up keeping them purely because of the comfort long lasting quality reviews and it's the type of all around boot I need. I will just have to wear thicker socks with them. Long term is TBD.

I tried the Blundstone Model 550 in a size 10 (mens 7) at a local shoe store, and they fit me. I normally wear a women's size 9.5, so in Blundstone, I have to order a half size up. Because I wanted this model's leather/color, I decided to order from Zappos (rather than purchasing from my local store). Having read the Zappos reviews about the sizing of this Model BL585, I decided to order both the 10 and a 10.5, thinking the 10.5 might be right. But, the 10 was better (didn't even try on the 10.5). Again, normally I'm a 9.5. The color/leather is great -- nice and rustic/worn-in looking. I ended up returning them both because Blundstones just feel too clunky to me. Make my feet look/feel huge, even though the boots fit.

I wear a pretty consistent 7.5 in most shoes or boots. I ordered a 7.5 and they were just a bit too small. So I ordered an 8, and they were perfect. I've wanted a pair of these for a while, I'm glad I finally bought a pair. I can already tell that I am going to love these boots. My advice, go up a half size.

Im a men’s 10.5 US. When I received it, I could not even get half my foot in. It felt extremely small for 10.5. Exchanged for a 11.5 US. Still snug, but my foot actually went into the boot. Once broken in it should be good. This is the only 11.5 size boot I have ever owned. I always fit into a 10.5-11. Size up if not a size and a half up, especially if you plan wear thick socks.

I ordered these in the same size as all of my shoes and boots. Once they were on my foot, they felt terrific. But goodness, was it a struggle to get them on and off. Thought I was going to pop a vein in my brain. Fortunately my brain is very small and that didn't happen. At a friend's recommendation I ordered a half size bigger. These were a tiny bit loose when on, but about the same struggle getting them on and off even after wearing them around the house for two days. Maybe the problem is with my foot. I have somewhat high arches, nothing unusual but maybe a bit above average. This was my first Zappos order. I gotta say, Zappos is terrific and I'll be back.

These boots were a little stiffer than I expected and were a full size too short.

My typical shoe & sandal size is a perfect 7.5 but I like to wear heavier socks with athletic shoes and boots so I always size up to an 8, maybe even a 8.5. I had a feeling that my high instep was going to be problematic with Blundstones & sure enough, I couldn’t even pull them on without force (not to mention pain, lol.) I tried a range of sizes including 8, 8.5, & 9 and sadly none worked for me. If you have a high instep, beware. Even though I want a work boot, these look oversized & clunky, so I’ll keep looking.

I really wanted these boots to work because my daughter has them and highly recommends them. For me they were too difficult to put on. I had to vigorously push my foot into the opening to the point that my sock got pushed up and was too tightly pulling under and over my toes. Then my foot was in the boot and although I could feel that the sole was cushioned and supportive I wasn't able to adjust my sock so that it was on properly. I could use a zip at the top or a more giving elastic/leather opening. They are too stiff for me in that area. My feet have so many issues with joint deformity (raised toes, etc) that I can't spend the time it would take to wear-in the boots. So sad, the leather is a beautiful color and texture and I can see they're well made. I also found the leather edge around the ankle to be a little stiff and again, I'm not patient enough to wait for the leather to soften there. I think they're probably perfect for someone with a normal foot.

I don't know what's going on with the sizing these days, but it seems REALLY off. I've owned two pairs of Blundstones in the past and all I needed to do was put the blue insert inside for the perfect fit. I've now purchased the size 7, 7.5 and 8 and sent them all back due to poor sizing. I'm a TRUE 7, and the 7 fit like a 6.5. So, I ordered up to the 7.5 and my toes were still hitting the front of the boot. I then tried a size 8 and they were too big. In frustration, I called Blundstone USA to ask what's going on, and was told that the 7.5 is the SAME length as the 7, only wider. That's crazy. Then, I was advised to put both the blue & black insert into the size 8 to take up the extra room. I didn't have to do that with my last two pairs. It's really strange and I can't help but feel something changed with the sizing since I last purchased these boots. And this is coming from someone who wore these boots every single day for three years until I threw my last pair out last month.

I love love love the look of these boots. They are well made and thus I assume they would last a long time. I am a consistent size 7 (US women's) and usually find that most all shoes fit me just fine. Not the case with these boots! The left shoe felt very loose, while the right shoe felt very tight. This is not a typical problem for me. I tried various combinations of the footbeds and even different sizes, but no combination seemed to work for me. I am super sad because these boots are v cool; with sadness, I returned them.

Although they are very cute, they are too hard putting on and getting off. I need to be able to take off without a struggle.

I am so disappointed in these boots. I have normal width feet and never have trouble fitting into boots. I tried 3 different sizes (7,8,8.5) if I went up another size it would have been too big. I don't understand, the left foot was perfect on the 8 and 8.5, but my right foot was so tight and squished my last 2 toes so bad it was painful! I even called Blundstone to ask for suggestions and did what they suggested and no change in the way they fit. They just didn't work for me and it makes me sad. They are very light and have great support, but for some reason one fit and the other didn't. It just wasn't worth trying to make them work and wasting over $200 for a pair of boots that aren't even comfortable. Guess I'll stick to my Keens. I am glad however, that Zappos is amazing, no one beats their customer service, at least that made the whole situation a bit brighter.

Way too tight on the top of my feet. Won’t break in or stretch either. I have a regular sized foot. So uncomfortable

Beautiful boots. I tried both the 550 Chelsea Boot & the Dress Boot with the squared off toe & smoother sole.Unfortunately both were very hard to get on and off because of the height & tight elastic on both sides of the Boots. Also, Bloodstones are unisex sizes and not made specifically for a Woman's foot. They were not comfortable once on. Both Boots were loose on my feet when I finally got them on and way too wide for me . Sadly, I returned both pairs.
