Shocked at the recent poor reviews. Was just checking my history to find out the height on these boots. I bought mine in January of 2016. Now worn through multiple New England winters. These are a snow shoe. They shouldn’t be confused with a hiking boot. I had a snow proof North Face hiking boot for 10 years prior. The fit was more like a sneaker and that shoe was more functional. They are a bit stiff of a feel, but very supportive and comfortable. I feel way more stable on ice and packed snow than my previous TNF boots. They’ve kept me warm and dry in multiple blizzards. The sizing reviews puzzle me, because the 2016 production run felt a half size bigger due to the rubber toe box.

Great boot! My husband loves them. We have had a lot of snow and bitter cold here in Chicago and my husband says they keep his feet very warm and keep the snow out. They are much lighter than I thought they would be which is great! Great looking boot that is functional and at a great price! Only thing is they run a little small so I ordered half a size up per the other reviews.

I had to initially return these for a full size larger as they were too small. I would suggest you order 1.5 sizes larger because they feel a bit snug, though it may just require breaking in. These are sufficiently stylish as snow-boots, and the brown version goes well with all types of outfits.

Nice shoes at a great price. Hard to size because of the lining but it is excellent for keeping your feet warm in cold weather. I have not fully broken mine in but am impressed with the quality to price ratio. I feel that I came out ahead.

Great boots for my college son. He typically wears an 11, we exchanged for 11.5 because they were snug. He says they are light on his feet but keep him very warm.

My foot is a 10.5 and I usually wear a Men's size 10.5. The boots got here and I started to regret getting the 10.5 because it felt quite tight on my foot. I then saw the reviews saying they ran 0.5 size small. I was leaving for my trip and decided I would just tough through them. I was pleased to find out when I put them on to wear when I got to Iceland and put them on during my first hike, and within about 10 minutes, the foam inside the shoe formed to my foot and it fit perfectly. So I would agree with everyone that they felt about 1/2 a size small at first, however they fit perfectly after about 5 minutes. I would definitely buy the normal size vs getting 1/2 a size bigger than usual. I hiked about 20 miles in Iceland during the week with these boots which included going through rivers, over rocks and lava fields and up steep inclines and they were more comfortable than my good running shoes. I love these boots.

I got theses for my husband as a Christmas gift and went a half size larger as per previous reviews. He was skeptical since he is a true 8½. I got them in the mail today and he said they were a perfect fit. He is kind of hard to shop for, being very picky about style but he loves them and they look amazing! They are great looking winter boots that are extremely functional.

I needed a new pair of snow boots in anticipation of a big snow year in Lake Tahoe. After reading the reviews I ordered a size 11.5 which is a full size larger than my normal 10.5. After the prompt delivery I opened the box and thought, oh no, they are to big! I put them on and they felt perfect. Took them to Tahoe over Christmas and gave them a thorough test while shoveling snow, walking the dogs and getting to and from the slopes. I could not be happier! I highly recommend The North Face Snowfuse boots!

We had to return these because they were way too tight in the front of the boot especially in the toe area, and we purchased a half-size large. Also the side of the boot nearish the toes pushed in to the foot and were uncomfortable. Loved the style and details but the fit made them impossible for us to keep.

This is a really nice boot for the price. We did have to exchange for a full site larger than actual foot size. However, I have seen with most TNF footwear that this is pretty normal. So order a size larger and you should avoid an exchange.

This is the perfect sneaker boot. I had been wearing Adidas daroga Chukkas (with primaloft insulation) and a pair of quilted patagonias but needed to replace those many years old shoes. Had been looking for a solid sneaker boot for forever and these totally suit my needs. Warm, sturdy, good grip for Detroit weather. BUT, also easy to put on, take off, lace up etc. So much easier for every day than my Adidas path makers and massive Sorels. They are a bit bulkier than a traditional sneaker boot but also warmer and better constructed -- toe cap is great, and deeper grooves, niches are ideal for places where there is always something slick, wet, snowy from November to March. They're too bulky to effectively pull off if you need to look snazzy or totally professional but if you wear jeans to work -- they're ideal. They fit size wise to the t, but are VERT narrow. I wear a size 11 but have super skinny feet, and I just fit into them width wise. So maybe not the best option for thick footed hobbit types.

Very warm and so comfortable once you get the right size. I agree with other reviewers that it runs small. I got one size up and it still was snug. However, after wearing all day it doesn’t feel uncomfortably tight. I wore in the negatives and my feet stayed toasty. I’ve worn in snow, slush, and rain and my feet stay dry.

These boots are one of my most satisfying clothing/footwear purchases ever. I hadn't bought proper boots in over 10 years and I was a little apprehensive pulling the trigger on something based on how feisty so many reviews were about sizing issues and quality. I think purpose/need is a giant thing when it comes to choosing the right boot. I was looking for something to keep my feet warm and dry during Chicago winter commuting, and these boots are ABSOLUTELY perfect. They are super warm, snug, durable, comfortable, and they feel really solid/resilient, as though they'll last a long time. I mainly submitted this review to address all of the sizing uproar about this boot. Some reviewers have correctly identified that the boot isn't necessarily overly small or narrow, it's simply a snug fit and requires a small bit of breaking in to "give" a little. I have a wide foot, and ordered one half-size above my normal size of 11, and the boot fit was absolutely positively perfect. I think those saying this boot is a full size too small or worse are exaggerating and underestimating the fact that this boot being tight and snug and insulated is part of what makes it so great. In short, I would recommend ordering about one half size above your normal size and you should be more than good between the fit of the boot and the break-in involved. Also on the break-in, it's not uncomfortable when you first put it on by any means, it just needs a wear or two to stretch a bit. These boots aren't the most attractive thing to look at but I bought them for warmth and traction, and they deliver in spades. I think the look is decent, anyway. If you're looking for a warm winter boot for practical everyday use I would definitely recommend these! If you need something super fashionable or something for more intense rugged/outdoor use, you MAY wanna look at something heavier. Again though I feel like these boots can take a lot of punishment. Well done North Face!

I tried on a number of other winter boots in order to extend my hiking season into the snow, and these were the best fit of 6 boots, 4 from other brands. I have very narrow feet, and my heels rise out of most boots when I walk up inclines, but not with these. The fit was perfect. I usually wear an 11, which was too tight, so I'd suggest adding a 1/2 size up as I did. I did a 25-30 degree snowy peak-bag of Mts Starr King and Waumbek (NH), and my feet stayed toasty for 5+ hours. My Kahtoolah micro-spikes fit as well, but with a little more elbow grease than usual. Overall, very happy with this purchase and would certainly recommend.

I would recommend that you go one size up. I read the other reviews and they all recommended this and I am glad that I did. With the thickness of my socks these shoes fit perfectly. I am breaking the shoes in so it is taking a while but so far so good.

I purchased these for my son but had to return them. The were extremely narrow and uncomfortable across the toes. The quality and style of the boot are great, just be aware that they run narrow. My son does not have a wide foot.

Usually wear size 9.5 but after reading reviews ordered size 10. Way too small. Maybe size 11 would fit. They look like great boots, and the price it right, but you've got to get the sizing right.

This great looking boot unfortunately didn't fit my foot. I always wear normal width shoes and boots but from just beyond mid-foot and into the toe box this boot felt a bit narrow and there was definitely not enough height for my foot/toes to fit comfortably with a standard merino wool hiking sock. I liked the style, super lightweight for an insulated boot and the construction seemed decent for the price. It just didn't fit my foot. I did order a half size larger than I normally wear and it seemed to be perfect lengthwise, just not in width and height.

Nice boots, not sure how waterproof they are about the rubber encasement portion and they seem to run a half size too small (need to order a half size larger than expected).

These are perfect. Tried the Chilkoots and found the sizing all over the place on those. Found these afterwards and they are what I wanted. Great rubber coverage for mud season in the NE and these are very warm to boot. Found I can wear a lighter, more breathable sock so my feet don't sweat and I'm actually more comfortable than wearing heavy socks in pack boots. People that want to wear heavy socks may want to go up a size.

I have to mention that I wear them on temperature's below 10F (-12C) at work with an EXCEPTIONAL performance... One other thing to mention is that on temperature's around the 35 and up with dry condition's (no snow) they could be to warm to the point where they are uncomfortable to wear.
