Why can't shoe companies make size 10.5? Seriously, what is up with that? The 10 was too small, even with thin socks, the 11 too large, even with thick socks. A 10.5 would have been perfect -- why doesn't this size exist? It makes no sense, especially given the increasing size of American women's feet and the range of widths offered in this model. Come on, Clarks and other companies!

I bought this shoe at the Clarks store; I don't think it was available on Zappos yet. This shoe is phenomenal! I've had many foot problems and surgeries and need a supportive, firm soled shoe. This fits those requirements and is incredibly cute and sophisticated too; in other words, not at all clunky or matronly looking. The sole is non-skid which is important for urban trekking on cobblestone or rain-slicked streets. I normally wear an 8 1/2 M but am finding Clarks run on the narrow side. The 8 Wide is the same length as an 8 1/2 M but gives me the extra toe box room my feet need. The are certainly not cheap, but the comfort is well worth it. All in all, the perfect every day and travel shoe!

Since I rely heavily on other reviews, here goes...very comfortable, light-weight shoe with good support. The toe box doesn't cramp, it doesn't rub my bunion, and makes walking easy.

I really like these shoes -- the color, the waterproof-ness of them. I love that I can get them in a W. I'm an 8-8.5, and wore an 8W in my last pair of Waves (a different style) but need and 8.5W in these. Lots of toe room. I wear them with my orthotics and appreciate that they came with extra heel lifts (as it turns out, one of my legs is shorter than the other and so that heel lift came in mighty handy). These are great for urban walking. Not so good on a trail, slippery wet or gravelly. There isn't any tread to speak of so don't make the mistake of thinking of these as hiking shoes. Still like them enough that I'll probably get another pair in a different color.

Right out of the box they fit great and felt good. No break-in period needed for me. I'm an 8 medium and they are true to size. Like the full lace up style for better support. I use an full orthotic and it fits perfect without making the toe box smaller or lifting my heel out of position. Good rugged shoe that is waterproof without being bulky. Nice styling for a walking shoe. They even come with a nifty set of alternate colored shoelaces. Use these to run errands, walk the dogs (in all kinds of weather) and hike the trails.

I can wear these all day, no problems. They look adorable on, they're completely waterproof (tested in puddles of water - I work at a garden centre) and they cured my metatarsal pain after a few days! They're my everyday shoes. Plus, they hardly show any wear and I've been sporting them most days out of a few months. The 9.5 was a good fit on my 9.5-10 feet, but they are on the narrow side (which works for me). Still, give 'em a shot and let them sit - they're a bit stiff to start, and not too cushy, but they just get more comfortable. Highly recommended for all sorts of occasions.

I wear a 9.5M shoe but wear a 10M walking shoe so that I can wear thicker socks. I found the 10M too narrow in this shoe and after reading all the reviews I decided to try the 10W. Perfect! The toe box area in this shoe is narrower in shape, therefore, the 10W is most comfortable. The shoe is wonderful to walk in right out of the box; no breaking in period required. Very happy and will probably buy more in other colors.

I love these shoes but for the first time in my life (I'm 86) a narrow width was too narrow for me and I had to exchange them for a medium. That said, these shoes are terrific -- well made, stylish and, most important, very comfortable (I have a metal rod through the length of a big toe after a bad break so I can't bend that toe; I have to wear shoes with turned up toes so I can rock on that foot). With these shoes, NO pain! Besides, for reasons I can't explain, I've had more compliments on them than on any other shoes, ever, and from men as well as other women. I'm ordering a second pair in that kicky red-orange color.

I love these shoes! Worth every cent. Looking for walking shoes for upcoming trip and these will do nicely. Love they are waterproof - great for hiking to sidewalks. I have custom orthotics and don't need to use them due to excellent arch and heel support. Great support in the achilles area. They are more form fitting than others I have tried. At first I thought they might be too tight but they have eased up in less than a day of walking. I also tend to be an over pronator and these have good stability. I ordered the red color which is more of a muted or burnt red but nice contrast with the black accent around toe and heel. I tried the Go Lite Lava Lite and Keen Toyah. The Go Lite did not have enough support and the tread was squishy feel when walking. The Keen was better support than Go Lite but I would need to use orthotics. Gusseted shoe tongue is nice it won't move around which adds to comfort.

I don't know about the other reviews, but this shoe runs narrow. My usual shoe size for the past umpteen years has been a 7.5 medium in US women's sizing, and a 38 in Euro sizing. I bought two pairs - one red and one black. Tried both on; both fit the same way - tight width-wise. The red, in reality, is not as red as shown in the photo. It is more of a faded color, and the rubber on the toe is more of a dark brown than black. It is a good looking shoe, stable feeling, good support, and is waterproof leather, which is fantastic. Disappointed, but I'll try the next half size up, and also try the 'wide' width.

These are great shoes. I have them in both black and blue. The black look good enough to keep you looking smart while traveling, rather than having to wear white mesh, multi-color stripe running shoes.

I wanted to like these. They look great and if I did not have a bunion, I think I would have kept them, that said, they felt tight on both feet. I have had great luck with Clarks so I was a bit shocked.

A comfortable, sturdy shoe for walking or other activity. Because it is waterproof, it tends to be a bit hot on your feet after several hours.

Great shoe!!! It tends to run very narrow. I have a very narrow foot but found the medium fit perfectly. I love the style and have gotten many compliments.

I almost never write a review for anything, but these shoes are so amazing I had to take the time to write one. They are exceptionally comfortable, great arch support and very light weight. I wear a size 9 shoe so I frequently shy away from shoes like this because they make my feet look huge. These no only don't look big I think they make my feet look smaller than usual. I ordered them thinking I could wear them to run errands and just knock around in, but I now plan to travel in them and also hike. They are simply the most comfortable shoes I have put on my feet in a long time! I think they run exactly true to size. I have a narrower foot that doesn't require a narrow shoe size but many brands just don't fit my feet. This shoe has plenty of room in the toe without being wide through the arch and the heel fits perfectly without being too snug. I think if you have a super wide foot this may not be the shoe for you.

Really like these shoes. Very comfortable, good to walk in. They don't have much tread, but they are find for non-trail walking.

After reading the other reviews, I ordered my regular size, but in a wider width. It worked, they are very comfortable. The narrow fit has an up side, in that they look sleeker than other walking shoes. I would have liked a little more arch support, but will probably add an orthotic. Even in the wider width, these will only take medium weight socks. Not a hiking shoe, but a good city walking shoe. The "red" color is not a true red, more of a bright rust color. And the slight two-tone look in the photo became more pronounced after just one day of wearing. The leather of the top and sides are different textures, so the top stayed rough and dark, while the nap on the sides smoothed down and looks lighter. Not a bad look, just not what I expected. But I'll keep them.

These are very nice looking shoes. However, I will be in a nursing home before I get them "broke in." They are so stiff it is difficult to get them on, and I can only wear them a short time before I have to take them off. Very disappointing considering what I paid. Also, that is not grey, it is brown.

This used to be my favorite shoe. I have ordered it every year for the past 3 years. I love the look and I used to love the feel of this shoe. I just ordered a new pair of the same size that I always order (9.5w) and it was so loose around the back of the ankle and heel that my foot was slipping out. I ordered a 9.5m to see if it fit better and it was too narrow. I then ordered another 9.5w to see if the first poorly fitting pair was just a fluke. Nope that one also left my foot slipping out the back. I am so disappointed in this shoe. Clarks must have changed the way they manufacture the shoe. Now I need to find another "go to shoe".

I sought out these shoes because of foot trouble - plantar fasciitis pain caused in my case from walking on the outsides of my feet (supination) due to high arches. Some shoes, like these, urge you into a healthier stride. This is the only style I've found that is not either a running shoe or a dorky therapeutic boat. New Balance has a good model of athletic shoe for this kind of foot. These Wave.Treks are great. Kinda cute, comforting to wear, and they seem bulletproof: waterproof, strongly made. They still look new and may for years.

These are wonderful, comfortable shoes. They accommodate an orthotic with no trouble. I wore them to Italy where the walking was either uphill or down, never flat. The shoes support your feet so that your toes don't hit the front of the shoe when you walk downhill. Unlike my other Clarks shoes, they run small and I had to go up a size, but they don't look honking big when they're on. But do shop around, they can be bought much cheaper elsewhere.

I ordered wide width which fit great in the toe (metatarsal) area but the heel was way too wide. It slips on the heel which means blisters. I wish shoe companies understood just because you have wide feet in the toe area (metatarsal area) does not mean your heels are wide. I need wide area in toe area (metatarsal area) not a wide heel. I had to return them. These are nice looking shoes.

I loved these shoes, but I had to return them because the construction of the tongue had stitching between the leather and fabric that caused a painful pinch on my instep. I was so disappointed to not be able to keep these.

This is my second pair and I may buy the third. I wear these everyday all day. The shoe offers amazing support and prevents my foot from pronating. Not the most beautiful shoe, but absolutely the most comfortable. I recently walked on the cobblestone streets of Europe for 2 weeks, and I could not have done it without these shoes. I noticed other tourists wearing the same shoe. I am a grandmother, who loves beautiful shoes, but at my age I realize comfort surpasses style in my footwear. I wish Clarks could make a dress shoe with this much comfort and support.

These felt great right out of the box. I have custom orthotics that I use in them. I bought the navy initially (looks great with jeans) but later got a pair in black as well. I could do without the big loop on the back, but because of the comfort level and because they actually came in a size 12, I chose not to let the loop deter me.
