I have been wearing the Ryka Transition for 4 years now in Zumba class. Love that shoe and the sole so I tried the new Exertion shoe from Ryka. Didn't seem as stable and sturdy as the Transition. The tongue of the shoe is not sewn in very well and after wearing them three times the left tongue came completely detached. The stitching had completely come undone. Going to try them again but I think the newer Transition might have to be the alternative if the Exertion falls apart again.

Really wanted to love this shoe and have been a Ryka fan in the past, but disappointed. Colors are cute and the shoe is soft and lightweight. The sole is the same as the Transition with the pivot point. I like the way the lateral support is directly held by the laces. However, the inside of the shoe is poorly finished. The base of the tongue is sewn but not trimmed well and I could majorly feel it. I tried thick shoes and thin socks and neither gave any relief from the pressure of that. Add to it that some of the pieces inside actually felt sticky to the touch. Lightweight is great, but cheaply finishing a shoe just doesn't work. I had to take them off before I even went out the door to class. I changed into my Ecco Biom Trainers which are not perfect for dance class but give some stability in a lightweight, nicely finished shoe that's built to last (bought those on sale of course!). I hope Ryka returns to the quality and workmanship I loved before! Expected more for the price.

I wear my shoes to do the firm fanny lifter workout and I feel they are lightweight and also I love the design.

I am a wide width and most Zumba shoes are too narrow for me. These may be marked "medium" but they fit like a wide. I'm thrilled to say that they fit me perfectly right out of the box. Please note, tho, that the insole is not very supportive. I took it out and replaced it with a more supportive insole.

I love this shoe. I have a high instep, and it is hard for me to find shoes that fit well. This shoe fits me perfectly. I usually wear an 8 1/2 in an athletic shoe and that is the size I got. I wear these for Jazzercise, and I do high impact. My feet don't hurt when I wear them, although I use custom orthotics inside, so I don't know much about the in sole that comes with the shoe.

Fits great so far. I have a wider foot and this shoe is pretty comfortable for not being a wide width. I use this shoe for my weight training days at the gym.

I think these would have been great for Jazzercise but they were too short. I ordered a 9 1/2 (I regularly wear a 9) but I could feel my toes at the end of the shoe. Since I had also ordered the Ryka Influence and the length was fine, I kept them instead.

These work very well for Jazzercise since the sole is made for aerobics. There is a lot of support. Great shoe.

My feet are wide in the toe, narrow in the heel with a high instep & arch. These shoes are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever put on my feet. I ordered three different styles of Ryka shoes and these are my favorites.

I love this shoe but it ran a little big for me. I typically buy a 9 in workout shoes (my regular size is a solid 8.5) and always a 9 in Nikes (though they fit smaller). This shoe has lots of cushion and great padding which I think would work well with HIIT/insanity type classes. It was a tiny bit too big for me and seemed a little wide. I might try to exchange it for 8.5 or keep hunting for the perfect shoe. Do try it though. It's super comfortable and is worth a try. And thanks to Zappos being so awesome, you can buy it, try it and return it if necessary.

Okay, I use these for Zumba, and they were pretty good. However, there was not enough support and/or cushioning in the ball of foot area. I solved that with a Dr. Scholl's active insert. Now I have the perfect pair of Zumba sneakers.

These shoes are perfect for Zumba. This is my second pair of this brand and I really like them. They are very comfortable.

Ordering this shoe was very easy. Price was lower than what I usually pay for this brand. Delivery was fast and shoe size was perfect. I really like the color and style.

Great pair of shoes. They work really well for Zumba and kickboxing classes at the gym. Lightweight and comfortable. The shoelaces don't come untied while exercising.

Fabulous! I'm a Zumba-holic and I've been looking for a supportive, cushioned sneaker for class and this is it! Well-padded with a wider base than a dance sneaker such as Asics Gel-Rhythmic, this shoe has a sturdy feel for all the lateral movement in Zumba. The pivot point saves my knees during turns. Lightweight and flexible, this shoe allows for decent movement of the foot and ankle, further enhancing it's ability as a stand-in for a traditional dance sneaker. Bonus points for great style and color. Some reviewers are comparing this shoe to the Transition, which I also own, but I found that the Transition has a stickier sole that's less friendly on the knees for turns.

I take line dance classes and I needed a shoe with the pivot point on the bottom that also had some orthopedic support. I ordered and sent back several pairs of dance shoes until I hit upon these. Love these sneakers for dance! I've never owned Ryka sneakers before but I really like them and would order again.

Great shoe for weight lifting and the elliptical. I have a narrow foot and feel like these run like a true medium width. They aren't as bulky as most shoes on the market and that is why I like them. I wear a 9 street shoe and a 9.5 in most athletic shoes. I had to return the 9.5 for a 10. I wish these came in narrow, but nothing does anymore.

I love Ryka shoes. Bought this one for zumba and it's light, roomy in the toe box, true to size and had no rubbing or pain with wearing it the first time. Great for dance and supports side-to-side motion. Also has a removable arch support in it. Love the color. I wish it had a heal pivot on the tread but i am happy having the toe pivot in this dance shoe. My zumba instructor is recommending this shoe to her students too!

I purchased these shoes for Zumba. I found them to be true to size. I have narrow feet and found the fit to be snug and secure with plenty of toe room. They are light, supportive and very comfortable to exercise in. I replaced the insole for additional cushioning. So far I give them an excellent rating, great shoe for Zumba with all the spins and turns.

Runs really small. I usually wear 8.5/9 so I ordered a 9. The 9 is way too small...hopefully a 9.5 will fit.

Great sneakers for Zumba! I was looking for a sneaker that was light weight and flexible and this sneaker fits the description. They are also very reasonably priced

Love these shoes! These are the sexiest sneakers ever! They are a tad narrow right through the ball of my foot so I had to do an 8.5. I used to be able to wear 8s in Rykas but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Bought these for Zumba and walking. Very comfy for both!
