I bought these to deal with an early winter in western Colorado to wear for casual and work. The look and dark brown color is goes easily with jeans and chinos. The tongue has an elastic gore that holds tight to the top of the instep, almost uncomfortably at first but loosens up as you wear them in. They now feel pretty good to the point of lounging around. The sole is reasonably cushioned but not squishy. The toe box is a little wide but not noticeably so. They don't slip on the heel and are true to normal street shoe size. The best part is great traction and stability in snow and ice plus they are water proof. They seem durable but only time will tell. I don't wear them every day as my only shoe. I think they do the job for winter wear when a full winter boot isn't needed and are a great value. Hopes this helps.

I finally found the winter shoes that works! I bus to work and these shoes keep my feet warm until the bus arrives. I highly recommend this. By the way, I live in Minnesota.

I've purchased two pairs of this Shiver Moc 2. On the first pair, the pull tab/loop broke the second time I put them on. On my second pair the pull tab broke after about 30 days of light use (only wear a couple times per week). I am a huge fan of Merrell shoes, have several other pairs of hiking shoes and have owned maybe 5 or 6 pairs of the Moc shoe line. I've never had a problem before. These shoes are very comfortable, the waterproofing works, the grip is very good, but without the pull tab it's a hassle to pull them on. I will still buy Merrell's, but this particular model seems to have a design flaw.

I ordered four similar shoes and this Moc 2 was the clear winner: Nice looking, Waterproof, Lined, Easy slip on yet good support. Net, net...awesome shoe/boot!

Bought these for my husband as a rainy-day shoe to wear to work in rainy Seattle (he hates carrying shoes with him, so he prefers a pair that he can just wear all day, that won't get ruined in the rain). These are great. They look professional enough for him to wear all day at the office without looking inappropriate, but they have awesome grip and are totally waterproof (no wet feet yet!). We love them!

My husband has Parkinson's and he has been looking for lightweight, comfortable shoes with good arches and great snow-control. We could not be happier with these shoes!! And they are so great looking!! Should have known Merrell would be the one!!

Zappos is great! The shoes are as expected. They run a little narrower that the Jungle Moc. The lug sole is prominent and takes getting used to after the Jungle Moc. Slight break in but shoe is comfortable with a firm fit to my foot. The finish is muted but improved with shoe polish. This is my third pair of Merrells. All have been well made and comfortable - best part is no lacing - they just slip on and off.

I love these shoes, warm, rugged, keep your feet dry and comfortable. They are made with very sturdy material so it did take a week or so of wear to break them in. I bought them specifically for winter wear, would buy them again in a heartbeat. I saw others had said they felt a 1/2 size bigger or I would have ordered size 11 - got the 10.5 and they fit perfectly.

I normally wear twelve in most brands except Nike where I have to wear 12.5. The 12’s were way too small so I went with the 13 and they fit well. The moc works for what I want, those cold and slushy days without significant snow. They don’t look awful to wear to work and are comfortable enough to wear all day.

As expected, my Merrell Shiver Moc 2 shoes fit like a custom made glove. I just received my order and right out of the box, they fit perfectly! I now own several styles of Merrell shoes and every style I get feels like they were made for me. Plus, with Merrell shoes, there is no "breaking in" period, they just feel comfortable right from the "get go". Buy with confidence. Worth every penny as they are top quality shoes.

I love these shoes so much that I just ordered the same shoe in dark earth (brown). Buy with confidence! You will not regret purchasing this incredibly well crafted shoe.

I've looked for shoes like these for quite some time. But shoes like these aren't aren't available for women. So I risked buying men's shoes. I wear a 9.5 medium women's size. So I ordered a men's size 8. I'm pleased to say they not only fit well, but they exceeded my expectations. The insulation and tread are top notch. And, as always, Merrell turns out another stylish product. Ladies, don't be afraid to order these shoes.

I wear Merrill's preferentially. I have a very high arch and these shoes are the closest I can find to match my arch for comfort. That being said, I still insert a support for additional relief through the arch. My last pair of Merrills were 11.5 and fit me like a glove. These are 10.5 and are a perfect fit. I am not sure why these are all measured so differently, but other than that I love this pair of shoes for both fit and comfort and they look wonderful. My wife also approves of their look.

Perfect fit! Very comfortable, outdoor casual shoe! No complaints!

Hope Merrill never stops making these shoes! I order a new pair every two years or so.

Great shoe, but order half-size larger. My husband has owned these shoes for 2 years and absolutely loves them. He uses them on the way to work, on casual days, on dog walks, you name it. They've finally shown some wear, and I'm buying the same shoe for him again (at his request).

Terrific shoe in appearance and durability. For me, problem was left shoe entry seemed smaller than right and shoe tongue pressed into front ankle. Tried padding under shoe tongue, insoles and wearing in-house to " break-in" but problem persisted, and sadly had to return shoes. Perhaps flaw is in my foot/weightbearing/gait so others should buy & try.

I love these shoes. This is the third pair I've bought in the last five years. I live in these shoes year round.

Ordered Wednesday afternoon, arrived Thursday just in time for a sloppy Colorado winter storm. Perfect timing! When the slush formed to ice the soles gripped in and provided a safe walk. Great shoe!

Finally found the perfect winter shoe for Chicago. There are certainly times when I need boots, but most often it's an inch or two of snow and/or slush and/or ice, when boots are not really necessary. These are warm, water repellant and have a full traction sole. Plus I can slip right into them; no bending over or need for shoe horn. I normally wear 8 1/2 or 9, but I bought 9 1/2 to be sure I could slip them on. They are only slightly large with normal socks and perfect with heavy winter socks.

This a true all weather moc. I wear them to the ski area and pull them off to put on my ski boots. I also wear them out for a casul dinner. They have been my winter shoes for several years.The high rand is is well attached and helps keeps my feet dry. Sizing is very slighly shorter than I expected . The width is accurate and accomidates a pair of heavier socks.

I hope this new pair is as durable as the last set, which I used as a work shoe and held up very well for 5 (?) years. The edges of my old pair are fraying, but the shoe is still useable and intact. Good traction too.

I bought a pair of these for myself and loved them so much, I got a pair for my husband. They are great in wintry wet weather and keep my feet super warm!

This is my 3rd pair. The 1st I wore until duct tape would no longer hold 'em together. 2d pair still in use, no duct tape yet. This pair (3rd) just getting started. I live in the Western mountains of rural Maine and these shoes get worn year round with Stablicers on all winter. They are waterproof, never had a wet foot with them. The sole is perfect for snow or wet ground, plus I wear them all Summer at my lake camp. My only fear is Merrill may stop making them!!!

I just got these and love them. This is my second pair. The first pair I had lasted for 5 years. I finally had to replace them because after wearing them nearly every day the soles finally got too thin. The fact that they are waterproof is great for the snow and rain we get here and the sole provides good traction in all conditions.
