Great service and communications. Free overnight shipping is the best! I find my sizes on the website that I have trouble finding in the stores!

I love Levi jeans, always comfortable and great quality. They also make the odd sizes for tall guys like myself, it is very hard to find good jeans for myself. They were a little slimmer around the legs than I thought they would be, but still a great pair of jeans to my collection.

Finally found a place to buy levis that fit. No more too long or too short because a retailer does not wish to stock odd number lengths.

They're Levi's original 501s. Of course they're great. The one thing that would make them better is if they were still made in the USA. Zappos price and delivery also can't be beat, and they stock hard to find sizes. I recomend both the Levi's and Zappos.

This is an item I've been buying all my life, but it's the first time I bought over the web. Everything went very well. The price, the quality, the service were all top notch. Thanks, Zappos.

In the Black stf the fit was slightly looser than in the traditional rigid blue stf. There's a lot of methods for handling the shrink to fit jeans, to get what you want in the end. I wear a 31 or 32 in Womens jeans, and the 35 waist is a firm fit.

These are the ones that you shrink in hot water to get to your size. You end up with a solid pair of classic Levis' jeans that are hard-wearing. No zipper. They come with a button-fly. Too-bad you can't get them in the 505 style like this too (i.e. shrink-to-fit.) Quality is generally good. Seems like quality is dependent in which country they're made in.

I've been wearing Levis 501 jeans since 1985 and have always wore the same size both waist and length. I ordered my usual 32X32 and they were extremely high watered in length. I sent back with the free shipping and got 32X33. When I received them they were too short also. Sent back one more time and got 32X34 which fit as as my old 32X32 in length but one pair was about an inch wrong (small) in waist size even though it showed 32 waist. I kept anyway. Not sure whether it is Levis who is inconsistent now days or whether it was Zappos batches of Levis.

Lowest quality pair of jeans I've ever seen. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT BUY. These are not the same quality Levis that they used to be.

I purchased these jeans for my 17 year old son for work. They are so stiff, not a soft type of jean. I had to return these.

Label was distinctive and consistent for 50 years but now has changed color.
Zappos online image still shows the old red print on beige-brown, not the new gray on black.
Minor disappointment, but at least the size appears reliable.
Older pair says "Made in Egypt", newer pair says "Made in Mexico".
(An earlier Mexico pair from 2019 had the older style label.)
Can't tell yet which will last longer in the seat. Maybe I do too much bicycle riding.
When my size of 505's comes back into stock, I will see whether that model has also changed.

Here are my findings, and I believe this may have more to do with Levi's than it does Zappos. Last year I purchased two pair of the "rigid" shrink to fit 501 jeans. I left a review as to what size I ordered based on Levi's suggestions, and how I washed them, they came out perfect! I then ordered a pair of the original 501 shrink to fit in brown and green, same size as the rigid. Per usual I tried them on prior to washing, they were way different in fit and feel of the fabric. I had to exchange them for a smaller size in the waist. After laundering them using the same method they came out pretty close to the first two pair. What I noticed upon closer inspection is that the rigid color were manufactured in Egypt and the brown and green were from Cambodia, which would lead me to believe that Levi''s standards and/or quality controls vary depending on country of origin. This was verified last year when I ordered these in black, and then again last week when I ordered another pair of rigid which both were made in Mexico and too small in the waist. I returned both, disappointed. Just to be certain I'm not crazy I went to a competitor brick and mortar store, I tried on several different pair of rigid Levi's 501 shrink to fit. I found a couple made in Egypt and a couple made in Mexico, the Egyptian made pairs fit and have washed up perfectly, again. The Mexican made jeans were again too small in the waist. Perhaps going up one waist size would work, but at the price of Levi's I was unwilling to find out since I knew how the Egyptian made ones would be!

Have worn 501 Shrink to Fit for over 60 years...since the time they were the only type of Levi's. The great thing about Zappos is when you order StF, you get StF; some merchants are incompetent or worse, and send pre-shrunk "Original Fit" when you order StF.

Very glad that these bitter chocolate original 501's shrink-to-fit Levis came back in stock in my size! Very comfortable and I like the color very much. As with a couple other of my reviews regarding these colored 501's, make sure to purchase them in your normal size. Unlike the rigid blue denim shrink-to-fit the colored ones will NOT shrink an inch or more in the waist, nor will they shrink more than a 1/2" in length. I washed my new ones in warm water and dried them in a warm dryer and they came out perfect.

I love the color and quality and fit. As I wrote in my review of the same jean in Bitter Chocolate, make sure you buy these in the size you are use to wearing! These and the brown ones are listed as "shrink to fit", but they are not the same material as the real original rigid blue denim Levis, and I found out the hard way that they will not shrink the same.

I loved the color and style, however beware, these Levis are sold as shrink to fit, yet they are not the same material as the original denim blue jean 501's, they did not shrink after washing and drying! Zappos customer care is outstanding, they accepted them as a return item when I explained the problem. Buy these in your normal size! Unfortunately there were no more brown jeans in the size I actually wear, so I purchased the thyme green color and they are nice looking and fit great!

I like the classic look and fit of Levi’s 501’s. The shrink to fit style has a vintage look and feel. Fit is comfortable and have worn it almost everyday for almost two weeks to break it in without having to wash it.

Been wearing the same 501STF Levi's for 30 years. Wear like iron, wash twice before first wearing and go from there. Buy 3 or 4 at a time.

Everything is great Best jeans I've ever worn. Too bad that their not made in America. I think these jeans are all I will wear the rest of my life. 501 shrink to fit are the best, and last the longest.
