Over the years, I have purchased three pairs of these shoes. I love their ugly-chic aesthetic, and they're great for me because I have weird foot issues. However, they are not the most durable things, and therefore, a touch overpriced. The sole wears down incredibly fast. For my last two pairs I took them to my friendly cobbler, who gave them some sturdier soles. Much better. They also stretch out very fast, so if they seem tight on your feet at first, give them a couple of wearings and they should conform to the shape of your foot. Highly recommended, just make sure you get the sole protectors and you should be pretty satisfied.

Okay, first of all I gotta share this with everybody: I ordered these Worishofer sandals on Saturday night, and received them before 3pm on Monday! How insanely awesome is that? So for service, Zappos gets a billion stars in every way. I will be shopping for a bunch of extra Worishofers pairs through this site & no other. I mean its hassle free! We already deal with hassle in our everyday shopping experiences /life in general, so why. deal with BS when you're just trying to get shoes!? Right? So, Zappos, te amo! And now to the review of these beauties! I literally never experienced anything like this. I mean, my feet are singing to me right now and thanking me at the same time. I received them today after lusting over Worishofer sandals for the longest time. Besides the fact that they're the cutest sandals on planet earth and beyond, I'm telling you, ladies, I've never experienced such comfort in my entire life! I have really cute feet (okay, that wasn't very modest of me now was it?), but the problem I face daily in the summer with sandals is as follows: all sandals are too wide for me, I have size 9 feet with very high arches, and most sandals albeit cute offer no support. So finally I can wear extremely hot sandals like Worishofers, that are super cute (the cutest in my opinion) yet offer support and literally massage your feet while you walk. It's funny how a lot of peeps refer to these as "old lady shoes"... to me they have a feel of yesteryear like so retro like the sandals I used to wear as a little girl. I got the 538 black snake Worishofers and they're too hot...they look like little pin up sandals. Definitely have a '40s feel and I can finally wear sandals that don't torture my feet. It's all about comfort for me and if you feel comfortable, you'll look hot. It's just like my own granny (rest in peace) used to say, "when you wear uncomfortable shoes, it shows on your face".. totally true. I hope my review makes you buy Worishofers for the rest of your life which is what I'm planning on doing, through Zappos.com obviously! I love these shoes! Adjustable laces are perfect for fitting to my foot width cork sole is comfortable and they have a bit of punk edge grandma that I am loving.

These are the best shoes that I have ever owned in my life. If there was a winter version I would probably wear this brand exclusively. These shoes are comfortable and cute. I have flat feet so most shoes end up squeezing my toes together and making my feet ache. These shoes are do not hurt at all. Yesterday I ordered the 711 style and they arrived today! Zappos is the best! I love them already. I normally wear a 7½, but sometimes need a 37. I got these (and the 711) in 38 and they fit perfectly.

These look SO AMAZING on! Comfortable to walk in, lower heel height is just what I was looking for. The best feature of these shoes is the adjustable laces. I have bunions, and width can be challenging when selecting shoes. With these, loosening the laces in that spot is very helpful. Only one complaint is that they are slightly too small. I measure a US 10.5 and purchased 41. By loosening the back buckle and tightening the straps I think they will work. I am afraid the strap on the size 42 would be too loose. As it fits, the 41 is on second to tightest hole and it leaves a lot of length hanging off. They also might not have as much arch support as I need but am willing to sacrifice because they look so good on!

My extremely cool 30 year old nephew described these shoes as "sexy little corsets for your feet!" Enough said about their look! After the first wearing I did get a blister on my big toe but that is over now. Also, I folded back the flap that was under the lacings. It is much cuter with skin under the lace-up.

I love these shoes! They are so retro-chic and totally comfortable. I will be wearing them every day this summer. I normally wear an 39 but the 38 was the better fit in this case (might have liked 38.5).

This sandal has low heel height but enough to make me look fashionable.This is a rare shoe because it includes a metatarsal pad. Comfortable right out the box!

Love these, but not an attractive cut for my foot so I'm returning them. Super-comfortable. They're a great retro-chic look. I'd remove the flap under the laces so that skin shows through, and replace the laces with ribbon - a wide organza ribbon would be great. Hot pink or red on the black shoe would be a great look. Wish the grommets for the laces were brass rather than silver. Looks cheap.

These are possibly the ugliest shoes I've ever seen. Maybe by the time I'm 60 I won't care. But right now, as comfortable as these shoes are, I can't bear to look at them. They're going back. Awesome service by Zappos as usual though.

This was my 2nd pair of this shoe. I first bought them in navy. I have problems with any height and normally wear flats, but these were different. The word I said when I first put them on my feet was "cozy." Like they found their rightful home. Love them!! Its also had to find stylish and comfortable together, so well done Germany!

My daughter introduced me to this type of shoe and I am forever grateful for that. I have swelling in my feet and legs and could never join the family for long walks because I didn't have the proper support in my shoes. But now I am strutting right along beside them and I look fashionable. It's wonderful.

These shoes are perfect! I wear a 9 and the size 40 were the best fit (tried a 39 first, but were too snug). So comfortable and lightweight, plus they are cute.

I love these shoes! They are by far, the most comfortable and stylish shoes for a sandal. I can go dressy or casual although I love them with jeans or skinny pants. Very flattering and I've received many compliments.

Extreme comfort and support win over inconsistent and off-sizing. I have had multiple pairs of Worishofer 583 and 251 and they all run very small. I am a 7.5 (37.5 EU) and always have to get a 38 or a 39 in these shoes. The sizing can be inconsistent too, like two size 38s of a single style can differ. Also find that they stretch and become too wide. I continue to buy them because it is like walking on a cloud, my arches are supported and I kind of like the granny look of them.

Best shoe ever! This shoe is very comfortable and I have foot issues. It has a retro vibe going on and can be worn with any summer outfit. This will be my ninth pair.

Absolutely adore these shoes. And so comfortable! I stand on my feet all day in these shoes, no problem.

I am on the slightly wide side of 37B or US 6.5. I find Worishofers fit true to size or a bit short, but I do not size up to 38 as that size is too long and wide. 37.5 if it were made, would be perfect for some models. 583 is a cute peep toe sneaker sling back. It won't garner the same "cute shoe" comment from my SO, but it is more fashion forward in the granny chic way than the more conventional sling back 562 or the 251 mule. The 583 is also wider than the 562 or the 251 even when it is tightened. If you are also contemplating the 683 lace up slingback model, the 583 is also looser than that one. The grommets make it a bit harder to get a glove like fit. Like the 562, the sling back straps on this slip a fraction, but I assume that as the shoe molds to my foot, that will be less of an issue. If you want a cuter look, you can fold back the tongue to show some skin, but again this is more a cute look, not a sexpot vibe. Comfy. Since I have a slightly wide foot and a high arch, it's good for me.

I love these shoes, they are comfortable and go with everything. I buy a new pair every year (sometimes 2 pair in different colors. BUT, DO NOT GET THE SOLES WET!! The cork will disintegrate if it gets wet and there goes the shoe! That is why I have buy I new pair every year, but even with the cork sole problem, they are so worth it!

Just like everybody else, my pair (brown snakeskin) was comfortable right out the box. I wear a size 9B and the 39 is perfect; they even make my foot look smaller. Considering the materials and comfort, the price seems very reasonable, so I'll be buying the black snake, too. Of course, I have to give a shout out for Zappos' selection and customer service -- they're the best!

Love these! They are actually very stylish besides being comfortable. Leather is soft, no breaking-in required!

My first delivery was disappointing as the laces on one shoe did not match the other shoe. Wrote a review regarding this (loved the shoes otherwise). Zappos immediately sent me a new pair that are perfect and didn't charge me to send the others back. I love these shoes! And Zappos rocks! I've since purchased another pair of sandals from Zappos because I know that satisfaction is guaranteed.

Comfy and cute in a old school way. They run wide for sure, but for a run around town sandal/shoe, they are perfect. Snake skin looks great.

I wear these for swing dancing. I have a neuroma in my left foot, but I can't feel it when I wear these shoes! I am 5'7" and wear a 7-1/2" shoe - I ordered the 38, which fits well. I got a blister near the base of the nail on the large toe from where the leather hits it. I am using a Band-Aid until I am sure I will not get a blister. These have a great retro look for swing and certainly can also be worn on the street, although I am wearing the 811 this spring (no blistering with the 811).

Want to look fabulous on a daily basis? Wear these ever so cute and comfy sandals. I ordered a size up, but there again I am in denial about the real size of my feet. These sandals, however, make my feet feel tiny! I love them.
