I have been wearing this style exclusively for about 15 years and I used to love the fit. However, the ones I've purchased recently have a lower cut and run much smaller. Sizing up doesn't help much. They used to fit almost like briefs with fuller coverage, and were very comfortable. Now they are more of a hipster style and are uncomfortable. Not purchasing these any longer.

Sizing is about 1/2" smaller than previous. Want to slide down. Would return but have taken all tags off

These are the only underwear I am comfortable wearing. Now the biggest size does not fit me but I have not gotten any bigger, you guys changed the sizing, which is fine I guess, but add a plus size or something for us who use to wear size 8 and 9 and now they no longer fit us please. If somethings not broken, why fix it?!

I have worn this style for years - the sizing is way off now and cut is skimpier. Compared to older pairs, the new ones I bought were about an inch smaller, so heed other reviews and size up!

I ordered these in S/5 a few months ago and loved them. Now I reordered the same size and they are MUCH smaller. I measured them so it's not that I got bigger :)

I don't understand what happened with this order I have been buying these underwear since they came out and I have always loved how comfortable they were. But all I've done is wash them the 1st time and wear some of them the 1st time and they're literally tearing at the seams of the lace and on the sides. I just don't get it.

I thought they would be the same as my last maidenform boy shorts but they are too skimpy for my taste, not at all what I thought I was getting

Like others I have worn the same Maidenform underwear for many many many years! However, the last shipment I received started ripping at the seams almost immediately. All 6 pairs have ripped and need to be replaced. I'm very disappointed because I love how they fit, however will need to find a new brand.

I have purchased the same style of this underwear for many many years in the same size. My weight has not changed throughout this entire time. Suddenly, the mediums fit like an extra small. My husband got me six pair for my Christmas stocking, and they are uncomfortable and also ripping at the seams and falling apart. I have gone back to just wearing the old ones that were well-made and fit properly. How does a company let this happen? Today I've been reading reviews and I see multiple people have complained about the same exact issue. I need an explanation or I will have to switch brands to a company that sizes more reliably and has better quality control. So disappointing. I always loved this underwear and thought it was so so comfortable.

Washed it couple times and it already ripped where the lace meets the fabric

Like other reviewers, I've been buying these underwear for years. Recently purchased 6 new pairs, same size as usual, and they feel 1 or 2 sizes too small. I order a size 9, so there's no sizes above that. Guess I'll be looking for a new brand. Such a shame, these fit so well and were very comfortable.

I have loved Maidenform's Microfiber Boyshort with Lace for so many years, but this recent purchase left me disappointed. I ordered several pairs all in the same size, different patterns, and the sizing is vastly different between the patterns. Some fit just right, others are too large or too small. I'm not sure what has happened to the quality, it used to be more consistent.

I am 5'7"; 128 lbs. I have been buying the boyshorts for years in a size 6. A few months ago, I chose to ignore the other reviewers who said to buy a size up and bought 6 pair of the size 6. They were tiny and would have fit my 5 year old niece. I sent them back and waited quite a while for the refund. I then ordered 6 pair in the size 7. When I received them, I tried one pair on and the sizing wasn't great, but they were wearable. I then put the other pairs in my closet and spent a couple of months out of town. When I returned, I tried to wear another of the pairs I had ordered and they were at least a size smaller than the first pair I tried on. It's truly a shame because now I cannot return them and have no idea where to buy similar, correctly sized underwear. In a fashion world where everything is vanity-sized (I know I should not be fitting into a size 0, nor should such size even exist) that these are so, so small (unless I am missing something and some women actually WANT to feel they have large bottoms and waists?). Beware! If you DO choose to order these, order at least two sizes up. And try them all on before deciding whether they are okay or not as the sizes within the marked size vary!

The manufacturer is cutting sizes smaller for existing customers who are coming back to order more (if you wore a 5, now you have to order a 6 to get the same amount of fabric & cut as you're used to, up to 1 inch when held up & matched next to each other). Within the same size between solid colors and prints, the manufacturer is cutting the fabric differently (the sizing can be up to 1/4 to 1/2 inch difference between fabrics with solids and patterns). Existing customers may find these manufacturing inconsistencies frustrating; new customers may be frustrated by the inconsistent fit when ordering solid colors and prints together in the same size.

I've been wearing the boy shirt for over 20 years and they've always been exactly the same. On this occasion, I order 12 pairs of the size I've always worn, received them, took off all tags, washed, and then went to put on a pair the next day and....way too small. So, now I have 12 pairs of unwearable underwear that are the same size as the others in my drawer, only fit smaller. Ugh. So dissappointed.

I bought these same underwear in a size "Large" a few years ago and LOVED them. I recently bought more in the same size, and they fit way smaller. The ones I bought a few years ago still fit perfectly, but the ones I have now are way too tight even though they're the exact same size & type. Seems as if they've changed their sizing a lot. Wish I had known this before I wasted money buying multiple pairs.

I bought one of each color of Style 40760 in Size 5. None of the boyshorts were cut the same way, and none of them fit my body per the Size Guide. Measured against what I already own in Style 40760 for Size 5, the fabric for the solid prints was cut 1/4 smaller and the fabric for the patterned prints was cut 1/2 inch smaller. Sizing-up did not fix the problem - the solid colors were too big for my hips, and the prints were very much too big for my hips. I have been a fan of this style for a long time, now I don't trust how this product is manufactured by Hanesbrands anymore.

What happened? These are definitely cut smaller now and fit differently. Less room in the seat. The size 6es I just bought seem actually smaller than the size 5es I've had for years. Pretty colors and all, but I'm so disappointed about the sizing. Size up, ladies! Can't return any because I didn't keep the packaging.

These used to be the best. The cut and sizing has changed significantly--at least one inch across the hips shorter. Instead of being my favorite underwear that I needed to replace, these are miserably uncomfortable. Incredibly disappointed!

I love these boyshort underwear, but that's not what I received. the packaging slip even said 6 pair navy boyshort, but I got 6 different colored hipsters 2 sizes too small

Maidenform, what happened to the fit and sizing of these boyshorts? I am a loyal Maidenform customer and have bought many of these boyshorts over the years in multiple colors (black, navy, black/white pinstripes, black/white snowflakes, nude, etc.). I have always gotten them in size 5 (small), and they have always been super soft, comfortable, and cute--the perfect everyday boyshorts. At some point, I started noticing that the sizing was inconsistent between the black and navy boyshorts, but I thought the inconsistency was only between different colors. Then I started noticing that even the solid black boyshorts, which I had bought for years, had inconsistent sizing. They are significantly smaller and lower-cut than they used to be and don't stretch as well as they used to. I compared the fabric information to the older boyshorts, and the fabric seems to be the same as before (89% polyester and 11% elastane or spandex), but they are cut smaller and don't stretch like they used to. I don't know exactly when this change occurred and can't tell whether this was an intentional change or a quality control issue, but I'm very disappointed in Maidenform and my latest purchase of these boyshorts have been a total waste of money. Apparently, other reviewers have complained about this same issue. Please bring back the old fit.

Poor fabric quality with little to no stretch and sizing is off- runs small so size up

I have worn these for years and have loved them. However, the new batch I recently bought ran really small and I had to return all six pairs. They weren't the same as before. I went back and read the reviews and I wasn't the only one complaining about this. Too bad!

I ordered about 20 pairs of these between 2 orders. Same size I always get and these ones all of them do not fit the same as all of my others.
