About me: I'm a casual runner--a handful of miles a week if that. My exercise includes jogging, sprints, calisthenics, interval style work-outs and weights. I like to use the same shoe for everything and while a cross-trainer is most likely better suited for my needs I prefer running shoes and haven't had any problems. About the shoe: I purchased a size 7 wide with the bright orange accents. The orange is very bright: think neon. I happen to like this as orange is a color I like and the appearance of the shoe is invigorating... I went with the wide because previous reviews mentioned the shoe runs narrow and I have a somewhat wide foot. Feel... Fabulous. Roomy toe box gives enough room for my toes, good support throughout my movements, and excellent cushioning when I strike the ground. Previously, I wore Brooks GTS 12 size 7 wide & I enjoyed that shoe very much as well, though, if purchasing Brooks again I'd go with a normal fit because I feel that model runs wide. Zappos is a phenomenal site with excellent selection and superior customer service that is second to none.

I only wear Asics athletic shoes, and though I am not a runner, I am an avid walker. I also work as an x-ray tech and am on my feet for eight hours a day. These Gel-Kahana 6 shoes, along with the Exalt, are my favorites. They provide great support and the pain from my plantar fascitis and heel spurs has completely subsided. They are good looking and I like the colors and are reasonably lightweight. I have narrower than average feet with a very narrow heel and I find the medium to work fine for me. I find that all the Asics I've had are a little on the narrow side, which is perfect for me. I always wear a 10 1/2 in Asics and these are no exception (nice to find this rarely made size!). The mesh keeps my feet well ventilated...mine sweat a lot! All in all, a nearly perfect shoe!

Asics is truly the most comfortable running/training shoe. I've always bought the Kayanos because I'm a moderate-high overpronator. I wanted an additional shoe that would be good for outside running/jogging on and off road. The Kahana is perfect for this and has a great outsole. I love Asics because I can take out the insole and put in my Superfeet. I wear a 9 in most shoes but I always order 9 1/2 asics and they're perfect.

I have Kahana shoes that I purchased a few years back. They were comfortable on my feet but I am afraid that these shoes are not so comfortable. I found them to be really tight in width. I am a medium (B) width and these were squeezing my feet. I am returning them for different trail shoes. I also had an issue with the hot pink. These go beyond hot pink! The pink was just too much for me. Maybe this color would look good on a young lady but I am middle-aged and they were not me. I love pink; just not this pink. I love the bottoms of the shoes. Great tread. I am just sorry that they did not work out for me.

If you love Gel Kayanos, you will love these shoes. Was looking for shoe to take to Galapagos to walk over rough, rocky, sometimes lava but not too heavy. I have plantar fasciitis that is under control by wearing the right shoes. Tevas, Solomon, and Keen just didn't have right arch support or cushioning. (Thank you Zappos for return policy.) These were perfect. Didn't need breaking in at all. Handled rough surfaces just fine. Stable on rocky trails. Will wear for local hiking and walking. Size is exact for Asics, which is 1/2 size up from my street shoes.

Great shoe, a little snug on top of the instep but fit well. For the money totally worth it. Jogger 15 to 20 miles/week.

These are my first pair of Asics and I'm a fan. I love the color (which is notably brighter orange than the images indicate). Think tangerine. The shoes are comfortable but felt odd the first day or so. I got an 8.5 and they fit but I could probably as easily have worn an 8. I wear an 8 in dress shoes but typically an 8.5 in Adidas.

These are so cushion-y and colorful! Nice tread for trail running. Thinking of getting another pair in a different color to mix it up! Love Zappos!

I am a big fan of Asics Kahanas. I've had them since Kahana3. These are a great fit, great price and great color. No hotspots when walking or running. Great to shop in as well - fantastic arch support and roomy toe box. I always get my running shoes 1/2 size larger and that was right for this shoe as well.

I happen to love these sneakers. If you have even slightly wide feet I would recommend going with the wide width. I generally wear regular width, and originally ordered the regular ones, but exchanged for the wide width to guarantee comfort and no pain. They look great, they're comfortable, and I've done elliptical, walking, and Jazzercise (dance aerobics) in them successfully.

These are the best shoes I have had in a long time! I usually buy Adidas, but went out of my comfort zone this time, and I am glad I did! I walk 3 miles each day, not much of a workout, but these shoes work best for me. They are truly comfortable shoes...will buy Asics again!

The shoe looks great but when I tried on my normal size 9.5 medium width it was so snug, the shoe was stiff, and it felt like a trail sneaker. The inside cushioning feels up to quality. If you have a narrow foot maybe you ll like this shoe. In the picture it looks great but in person it looks cheaply made. I always have trouble finding sneakers but I've mostly worn Nike the more flexible ones not the stiff narrow air max tailwind series. Most recently Nike dual fusion and pegasus 28 models. The newer models are never made like the last great ones. Recently I tried the Brooks adrenaline gts 12 in wide width, The 9.5 medium gave me foot pain where I over pronate on the out side of the food, and the wide width fixed that. What a great ride, the sneaker does most of the work as you walk, it rolls of the ground. Good luck in your search. I love zappos super fast service!

Absolutely the best running shoe I've bought. I use them for road running, not trail running, although they are a trail shoe. I will be bereft when/if Asics retires this shoe. Just the best. Caveat: I wear a size 7 shoe, but order an 8 in Asics running shoes.

It's hard to get WIDE in woman's sneakers and to find it in stores. Zappos had them! I only wear Asics so this shoe fits the bill for me.

I love the ASICS Gel-Kahana, I buy a new pair each time I wear them out. I run and walk with them on the road and trails and the sturdy sole is perfect for rocky terrain.

Great shoe! The only thing I have to complain about are the shoelaces not being long enough for my fat wide feet! I just got some longer ones in Neon Orange so it's all good now! Very comfortable shoe!

These have been the best shoes ever for me. Extremely comfortable from day one with no "break in" period necessary. Cradle my foot nicely, no movement or sliding of my foot while walking or running! ASICS will be my now "go to" brand as they fit well, have great support in arch, heel and overall. Previously I've worn Saucony, Ryka, and Avia, but the ASICS are by far my favorite.

These are my second pair of Asics Kahana 6. I exercise walk on dirt trails every day, and some of the hills have pretty good inclines. These shoes have a great grippy sole, and is well-cushioned and handle the terrain wonderfully. Never have had hot spots or rubbing anywhere on my feet. The uppers have held up well, I just wear out the sole from all the mileage I put on! I highly recommend this shoe.

I am happy to say that this is this best pair of shoes that I have bought! I love my ASICS GEL's... I have back problems and it has caused me to have problems with my feet . I have tried a few other name brands and they didn't help but my daughter told me to try ASICS GEL and due to my back I don't like to walk around a store so I found Zappos.com and they had just so many to choose from but I love the orange so I ordered them and was so shocked when within a couple of days my shoes were here. They are just awesome I am so pleased with my shoes and now Zappos is where I will do my shopping! I give them a 10+. #1 in my book!

This is one awesome trail shoe. I ran a Tough Mudder in these...no blisters, no foot pain, no slipping on the greasy, hilly, muddy trail. Everyone else was falling and slipping and I did not fall once! I Highly recommend. :)

I wear a 12 narrow but usually buy 12 b for tennis shoes because the laces adjust. The first time I wore these I hiked 14 miles to clouds rest in Yosemite, they were perfect - so comfy and grippy on rocks. I packed my old shoes just in case but I didn't need them. Love these.
