I am 5'8" and 135 pounds. I purchased the Columbia Bugaboo Pant in Small and Medium, the Burton Society Pant in Small, and The North Face Sally Pant in Small. The Columbia Bugaboo pants were by far the cutest pants, but unfortunately the small was just a little too tight, and when I tried the Medium, I was surprised at the size difference: about 2 inches extra at the waist on each side, and a "fist" bigger on each hip. Out of the three brands, the Columbia really are best suited for curvier types (compared to the Burton), and the small would fit about 130 pounds the best...the medium 140 pounds minimum and curvy. For me, I ended up with The North Face Sally pant in medium, which was in between Columbia's small and medium (TNF Small was as small if not smaller than Columbia's small on me). Love these pants! I was very hesitant to order these pants after reading the reviews regarding sizing issues -- but the mediums I bought fit wonderfully! I am 5'9" and approximately 140 and wear a large 8/small 10. These pants were roomy enough in the waist and fit around my thighs. They were also long enough, which is amazing in itself. I could see where the waist might be constrictive for some; however I have a small waist in relation to my hips, so if you're a pear-shaped gal like me these are the snow pants for you! Great fabric and they're pretty flattering.

Great basic snow pant. They are roomy enough to wear a light pair of jeans or leggings and/or long underwear with as well as being long enough. I am 5'9" and long enough snow pants are hard to find. Have not worn them outside yet, but I am pretty sure I will be warm and cozy.

These passed the test of Alpine cold and snow. And now that the bitter chill of winter has set in at home, I've taken to using these for my daily commute in the city. Good quality fabric, excellent insulation, perfect length for me (5'2"). Very happy with the pants.

Hello. I tried this pant on. It was a bit big on the buttock. I am 5'2.5". Weight 127. My waist is 31.5" and my hips 36". My inseam is 29.5. The length was perfect, but it was a bit empty in my back side. The internal Velcro to adjust the waist is excellent. The weight is ok. Is loose on the legs but ok. The pant is very pretty. The only reason why I am not keeping it is because I will keep the black one instead. After ordering, some friends recommended black because is more practical. I need it for a 7 day ski trip without washing machine. I had to order several sizes because size descriptions online were frustrating for me. According to size charts I need medium or large for my waist and small for my hips. When I tried it on, the small was perfect for my waist and I even adjusted it more with the velcro. Medium would have been huge. If I can update this review I will after testing it in the cold slopes.

I love these pants -- they fit true to size. They're warm and have pockets in all the right places. But what I'm really looking for is something to pull over jeans during a hard rain and these are more of a winter snow pant. So, unfortunately, back they go.

Fantastic pants! I love them! Don't want to take them off. Such good price and quality! Fits great! Size is right, not small, I'm between small and medium, and medium fits just a little roomy. After 3 frustrating visits to REI, I gave up and started reading reviews on Zappos. I'm so happy I found these pants! So warm! Not afraid to go in the show anymore. Yay!

These are great snow pants. I wear size 8/10, my hips are 39", and the medium fits me perfectly. I also tried Columbia storm slope snow pants and they were too tight in the hips, as were Northface Sally pants, which I could barely get on they were so tight. Very happy with this purchase

My teen daughter tried on at least 20 different snowpants/ski pants before we finally found these. All others were too long in the legs, bunchy between her legs, uncomfortable waist, etc... These are perfect! The short length is an excellent fit for her (she's 5ft 2). They are comfortable and keep her warm & dry on the ski slopes. She loves the color (yay for something other than black or gray).

I'm 5'3" and 130lbs. I bought these in medium and small. The mediums were huge, but the smalls fit nicely, with plenty of room for long johns as a base layer. I recently wore these (with a base layer) for the first time in 25-degree weather. These pants kept me warm and dry, even while resting in the snow. After the trip, I washed these on cold water and hung them up to dry. (The label indicates they can be put in the dryer, but I was already line drying other clothes.) They're now ready for my next outing!

I bought these pants for a ski trip. I'm a little heavier than last year, so was looking for an economical replacement since my other ski pants were too snug. Honestly, I was more comfortable and warmer in these than I was my much more expensive NorthFace pants. It was colder than usual (high in low teens) and we received 40+ inches of snow. I stayed warm and dry while skiing. Zero complaints.

I normally wear a 0 or 2 petite or short in pants. The XS short length fit perfectly. I have enough room to move and still wear a layer underneath if I need to, but they are not baggy and the length is perfect. Great pants for the price!

My daughter loves these pants. She is 5'3 and 118 pounds and the small were absolutely huge on her everywhere. Exchanged for the xsmall and they fit perfectly on her with still room around the waist for tops to tuck in. Great color too! Highly recommend!

Love these snowpants! I have been searching for a pair that actually fits, looks good, and keeps you warm. These meet all requirements.

Zappos' website made shopping for ski pants possible for me. I visited several stores, only to find the ski pants both too long and too large for me, since I am 5'2" tall and a size 2. Because of the specificity of of Zappos' information about the various pants offered, I was able to determine, in advance, both the brand and the size I needed. They arrived as promised, and they fit. Thank you.

These snow pants are a must! Warm, stylish, comfortable! I could not have made it through last winter without these. I'm sure my friends are tired of hearing me talk about them.

Love these for skiing and cute and comfortable. I initially bought them in Small-Reg length, but exchanged them for XS-Reg length. (I'm 5'4, 118 lbs for reference) The XS fits great and is long enough to cover ski boots.

I was looking for a pair of ski pants for my daughter who is 5ft 2 in and size 6. I found these at Zappos and ordered them on a Saturday night and received them on a Monday afternoon. Great service and they fit her perfectly. That birthday present was a great hit. Thank you.

These were good ski/snow pants to use for our Winter trip to Colorado. Kept me warm when we went skiing and they were comfortable too. Also used these pants on heavy snow days to go outside and they work well.

Me: 5'4" 117lbs, built lean; I ordered XS. I haven't actually worn these skiing yet, but I imagine they'll be just great because I'm a Columbia fan. The best part about these pants is the price because it's rare to see snow pants under $100. They are comfortable and a good-looking pant. If I had my druthers, there would be pockets on each side (there's only one on the right), even though I know I won't be using pockets much on the slope, I like to have the option to pocket my hands when the gloves come off. Also, the seem around mid-thigh is slightly tight when I squat, and I do not have large thighs by any means. Great pants overall though!

I'm 5.8 and 150lb, I have pretty long legs and wear medium. So I bought medium size. It's awkward... they are too short and legs are too tight, but the waist area is huge. They fit my butt nicely, but overall are very uncomfortable for snowboard pants. Btw I've tried bigger size and it's too big. I've returned it.

One of the buttons above the zipper fly fell right off when I first tried this on --- have to return them. I'm quite disappointed as I really needed a pair of good quality ski pants and thought I could trust Columbia.

Nice, Short is perfect length for my 5'2 1/2" height, well constructed, fit fine in hips & crotch but not in waist & belly...cut too straight for me. Not for a curvy, age 71 figure.
