This is a good looking casual shoe made with high-quality materials and workmanship. It has moderate cushioning, somewhere between a dress shoe and a running shoe. Due to the shape of the insole and the last, it feels like it has been custom molded to your feet, yet there is ample wiggle room in the toe-box. I had been wondering for years when someone would actually make a shoe to fit the human foot and here it is. This is my first pair from Ecco but it will not be my last, if they keep making them this way. There are a couple of things that you need to know about this shoe. One, it has virtually no heel, so when you walk, your stride is natural...as if you were barefoot. This is quite different from other shoes. I like it. It really appeals to the martial artist, yoga practitioner aspect of me. However, some people may be so accustomed to standing and walking on the incline provided by a heel that they may feel it is a little strange not to have one. Personally, I feel much more grounded. Ecco intentionally designed it this way and I am glad that they did. So, "Natural Motion" really does mean something and it makes these shoes special! Also, the sizing is to be noted. The European sizing is true to size but the American sizing is not. My true US size is 10 (Euro size 43). I got the 9/9.5 Biom, which is Euro size 43. So, order your true Euro size, if you know it, or one size smaller for US sizing.

This is quite possibly the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. It is a great casual and walking shoe and the cushioning is really fantastic - not too much, but pretty extraordinary to be able to walk all day without any soreness which is rare for me. Can also be worn with shorts and ankle socks. My main note is that the size for this shoe is pretty odd given the Euro sizing. I virtually always wear a 9 medium, which the chart here would suggest is a 42 or 43. For this shoe, the 9 equivalent is actually the 41, which fits perfectly.

Excellent quality. I was hesitant to purchase, thinking the plastic/rubber piece running back to the heal was odd. However, I am quite pleased with this shoe. Very well made. As usual, Ecco fits me perfectly.

Typical Ecco shoe, great materials, workmanship and overall quality. Worth the price. These fit exactly like Ecco Golf shoes which means I buy them a size larger than Ecco slip ons; ie 43 slip on, 44 lace up. They are a true D width. These are great walkers, comfortable and stylish casual shoes. All three colors look good, the grays are slightly lighter in color than the picture.

These shoes look great! As for the feel and fit, a different story. They feel ok, but they are not easy to size. I usually wear a 9 1/2-10 US. I needed the 8 1/2-9 which is a little bit snug, cause the next size up was way to long. Ecco usually makes great fitting shoes, but although I purchased these and will wear them, they are not as good as what I expected from Ecco.

Shoe fits well and is very comfortable. A little heavy but not to the point where they are difficult to where. I was initially worried that they would be hot, but that hasn't been an issue to this point.

This is an exceptionally comfortable shoe. I've been buying Eccos for a while now because they generally fit true to size and last last long enough to justify their expense. I also find that they fit true to size. The story remains the same on this first point and, I hope, on the second. However, this shoe is more comfortable than other Eccos I've had. (Might be the heel support?) Very, very happy with the purchase!

Probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I have wide feet and these are great. I would buy a 2nd pair if they weren't so expensive.

The most comfortable walking shoe I have ever owned. I bought a pair for a trip last year and my feet felt great the whole time. I bought a second pair in brown for a trip this year. Expensive, but worth it.

I am a big fan of ECCO shoes. I own this shoe in black and gray as well. Comfortable all day long. I find that although I usually wear a size 8.5/43 the ECCO line is a little bigger than normal. I own this shoe in size 41 (just right) and 42 (roomy).

I love this shoe. Very comfortable, lightweight, yet substantial. It breathes much better than other leather low-cut hiking type of shoes I've had. Granted, I'm not calling this a hiking show, but it does provide a fair amount of support for off-road walking.

Bought these for a trip to Europe later this summer. I have been wearing them to break them in and so far I really like them. I have noticed people are complaining they are stiffer and heavier than the lighter model of this shoe. While this is true, it is because they are made to hold up to lots of walking on hard surfaces including cobblestones in Europe. The bottom soles are very hard like a vibram and I expect them to hold up very well. I have wore them to work on casual days and have had a lot of compliments on them.

I was a little nervous about buying shoes on line, but it worked out great. These shoes fit perfect and are very comfortable. I wear them every day with my orthotics.

In truth, I love Ecco shoes, have for years. For my feet they run true to size, never pinch and provide a comfortable walking experience. Zappos price was in line with the department store where I usually buy my shoes but they were out of this color. My experience with Zappos was wholly good.

I have suffered from plantar fasciatis for 10 months, and found the Ecco biom hybrid golf shoes did away with the need for my custom orthotics. 10 days of teaching all day in my Biom Grips has relieved 90% of my foot pain without the use of orthotics. Thank you, Ecco, for engineering a last that supports the plantar fascia.

Great shoe. Needed a comfortable and dependable shoe for walking the various terrains in Sicily and Italy - from rock strewn castle ruins to wet and slippery cobblestones. These performed well under all conditions.

I have become a big fan of Ecco shoes. This is my third pair. I wanted a pair of semi athletic shoes that I could wear when I'm not at work. I also bike 12 miles a day or so to work and wanted a pair that would be good for that as well. My only complaint is that the sole is not quite as grippy on my pedals as i had hoped, but to be fair the shoe is not advertised as a cycling shoe. I've been wearing this shoe everyday for more than a month and it still looks new. As with most Ecco shoes, they run small. I wear a 42 or 43 in other brands but got these in a 41.

After reading some of the reviews regarding the fact that the shoes run large, I ordered one size smaller than I would normally get. Ended up sending them back for the size I always use. I will say that length wise, the smaller shoes fit okay, I felt the sides of the shoe around the ankle did not come up high enough, there was a gap between the side and tongue, hence going to one size up. I will say that the length of the new shoe does not feel uncomfortable, overall, I just feel the proportions of the shoe are not as good as they could be, at least for me. This is my fifth pair of ECCO shoes so they are by far my favorite brand at the moment. For the brand, I feel the quality of material is top notch and the workmanship and durability are outstanding. So far these shoes are living up to my high expectations and I would recommend them, just with the proportions were a little better for me.

I have had plantar faciitis problems. I got the Ecco Biom golf shoes and found that they were the only ones that did not stir up foot pain even after walking 18 holes. I decided to try these shoes as no other shoes were comfortable because of my foot problems. These shoes felt great from the moment that I put them on. Note though that I wear orthotics inside the shoe and so I do not know whether the shoe's arch support without an orthotic would be good.

I feel like these shoes would probably be great for most people. Unfortunately, I have high arches and work 12 hour days in a concrete warehouse. I am about to start working seven day weeks of these 12 hour shifts and that means that I need the most comfortable shoes that I can possibly find. These shoes did not seem to have any real arch support and it felt like all of my weight was pushed on a section of my heel and the padded part of my feet. I cannot really complain about the thin insole as it is listed as a feature in the item info. I also felt like they did not really have as much traction as I expected, although that might not have been the case after a few weeks of wear. On the plus side, they have a phenomenally sturdy outsole and the upper feels like it could handle heavy use. I feel like they would likely take away any of the discomfort that walking on rocks, sticks, or other natural flooring could cause. The shoes are also very well ventilated. I did not find my feet sweating at all throughout the day. The other reviews are right on when they point out how large these shoes are compared to their listed size. I usually wear a 9½ US Men's if the shoes are wide enough for my feet. I ordered these in 43 (which is listed as 9-9½) and they were on point as far as width is concerned, but they were probably close to half an inch too long. About a quarter inch or slightly more in the front and almost a quarter inch too long in the back. The top of the collar fit pretty much perfectly around my ankle, so they did not flop around while I wore them, but the base of the shoe was farther back than the collar, as odd as that sounds. I am not sure if it was meant as a feature or if it was just a side-effect of the shoe being too long in the back, but I could feel air rushing out of the shoe up the back of my calf when walking in the shoes while wearing shorts. All in all, I feel like these are very high quality shoes and they would have been perfect for someone with almost flat feet looking for lightweight, sturdy shoes that kind of mimics the feel of going barefoot. They are not perfect for someone with high arches, wide feet, or looking for something super comfortable for very long work days.

Wear a size 10 in Merrell's, but 9.5 is good fit for Ecco shoes. The sole is stiff, but that's a plus for me since I have falling arches. The look is different with the rubber strapping going around the back, but is unobtrusive.

I've had four pairs of Ecco Seawalkers in size 42..found the Ecco Sport Grip in size 42 very true to expected sizing. While I very much wanted to keep the shoes and they were nicely form fitting with a firm "grippy" sole; two aspects caused me to return them - there is no heal cutout so I found them rubbing on the back of my heals and I also found them very hot after test wearing them for two hours.
