First, I have very wide feet 'in the toe box' and these fit like a glove right out of the box. I have logged MANY miles and the soles are not that worn yet. Another thing I like is the lower profile with regard to the collar, as some shoes bother my ankle at the top where the tongue makes contact or the Achilles Notch (upper heel area). It's hard to comment on arch support as I (immediately) replace factory liners with a more supportive insert, so I have not worn them as-is. I have NO complaints about this shoe. In summary, I have worn many different shoes throughout the years and these are so far, by far the best yet. Absolutely love them. I'm stocking up in case the manufacturer discontinues this style.

Absolutely no arch support in these shoes (had to supply my own insert). They were also the "cheapest feeling" shoes I have ever worn. They are mesh, but feel quite hot when being worn. The cost was cheap and that's just what I got in this shoe. Maybe a more expensive shoe would be better quality. I have had NB shoes in the past that were excellent in every way, but NB changes their designs so frequently they don't seem to be consistent in quality.

Always buy New Balance for walking shoes and these are right up there in my favorites. Great comfort and good feel to them. Good buy.

Great walking shoe for warmer weather. Very breathable, so probably not good for cold weather. Good support and overall I'm happy. My feet will be happy too for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer! 39 miles in 2 days. I'm in it to end it! Early Detection saved my mom's life!

Very uncomfortable. Narrow, had to send back to get 4e. Lousy arch support. At the end of the day my feet are killing me. Give these to anyone you hate!

Shoes fit great and are lightweight.

I ordered these shoes for my husband and he loved them so much he had me order a second, identical pair for work.

It's very difficult to find a great looking shoe in extra wide for my son. Most are ugly, heavy clunkers that aren't always that wide. This shoe looks great, is lightweight and is actually extra wide!

These are comfortable shoes that breathe well. I have narrower feet, and these were a good fit. I wear custom orthotics, so having a removable insole is a plus. Provides good arch support (the sole does not bend downward at the arch) and the shoes required no break-in period. My only minor complaint is that those two square cutouts under the ball of the foot tend to act like suction cups when walking over well-waxed floors. Expect them to make a slight popping sound each time that they release. The shoes have a nice look that work well with most casual clothes.

Love the shoes. Use them for walking. Lightweight and I feel like I'm walking on air. Extra wide size fits just right.

Purchased these shoes for my special needs son. They fit well and are comfortable on his feet. We purchased these specifically for walking and so far they are working out well.

I bought these shoes solely for the purpose of use at the gym or while exercising and they're perfect. They are comfortable, have decent arch support and breathe very well. These could also very easily be casual shoes.

Just got them, but they seem tight (8.5 4EE). But I'll try them for a few days inside and see. Might have to try another style, but I'm determined to find some comfy shoes to replace my old New Balance. Zappos is great to work with - quick, and awesome with their shipping policy!! My husband likes these shoes a lot because the rounded toe of the shoe gives his toes enough space that they are not cramped. They are much more comfortable than others that he has worn - even other New Balance shoes. The rest of the shoe fits normally.

New Balance always seem to fit perfectly. This is the first walking shoe I purchased from them and they are proving to be very comfortable and supportive.

My husband only wears these shoes. Perfect weight and balance. I buy several pairs at a time because they come in wide width!

This shoe is perfect for those who have to wear orthotics, as it does not have a built in arch support. I have to wear a leather & plastic Rx brace on my L ft. for polio and a special orthotic with heel lift on the R. I ordered the wide width and customize with foam insoles to take up the room inside and allow for box toe. They fit perfectly.

I bought these shoes for my husband who does not have much luck with getting tennis shoes that fit right and feel good. He has worn these a lot in the past three weeks and has not complained once about his feet hurting.

I could not find size 7 in a 4E width anywhere. These fit great and the width is exactly the right size. Lightweight and supportive for walking and standing all day.

I bought these shoes for my dad who has wide feet, he loves them. The width is perfect and they are comfortable for him to walk in. We have bought him many different brands with no success until now.

Wore Nike Air Monarchs for years, but either my foot widened or the toe box narrowed, and I developed painful corns of the lateral sides of each foot. Zappos recommended the New Balance. Result: corns are gone, shoes are very comfortable. Wear them all the time, and durability so far is impressive. Great value as well, and so highly recommended.

This was my second pair of the exact same shoe. I purchased them again because of their durability, comfort, style, and value. I wear size 15, and these are a perfect fit. I use them for walking 2 to 3 miles a day. Needless to say, I recommend these shoes.
