For a full 3 months I have had a hitch in my knee, so I got new tennies (my second pair I thought they were great). My knee hurt so bad I even went in for an MRI! My tennis shoes got left in a camping box, and I went without them for a week, and my knee pain left. Hm...very happy, but hm, Why? I finally got to all the unpacking and put my shoes on and wham, severe knee pain AGAIN! My knee pain was caused by these shoes! Crazy but true! I will not purchase the brand again.

Let me start by saying these are the best sneakers I have ever bought. I am 6ft 2in and I'm over 200lb, I wear a size 12 and to find women's running shoes in the stores in that size is so hard. So I always bought mens which never fit right so running was not my friend because it's too much for my knees and back, but these shoes changed that. I have been using the Ghost 5 for about 2 weeks and it has made a world of difference, I just bought second one today just to be sure I will always have one. Hope they don't stop making them anytime soon. Thanks Zappos and much thanks to Brooks Ghost 5 - you have me for life.

Loved the cushioning, but after only a few runs, the fabric by the ankle is fraying and coming apart. At this rate, the shoes will not last long.

I have a somewhat narrow foot, normally wear a size 8. I tried on several different brands - Saucony, Teva, & Merrell. Although I really liked the looks of the Merrell Siren Sport 2, more of a hiking style, they felt stiff and the toe part was hard and I was concerned that it would be uncomfortable for long walks. The Brooks Ghost 5 were a perfect fit right out of the box and I could tell there would be no break in period. Decision made! The Saucony ProGrid Ride 5 was a very close second.

Great service coming and going. I ordered 4 pair to find the most comfortable shoe. The return process was as simple as quick as placing the order.

Comfy from the get-go! I love the roomy toe box area, and I did not order a wide. I've been on long walks and had no discomfort at all. Love this shoe!

I seriously love these shoes! They are my treadmill shoes and they are SO comfortable! The arch support is great, the shoes are light, and they don't hurt my feet at all. These have become my new favorite running shoes. I hope Zappos keeps them around for a long time. The size is true to size, and they fit like a dream.

Not so impressed. The heel just doesn't feel as supportive as other shoes I have purchased, nor does it feel like there is much cushion in the heel. Also my feet seem to get very hot in these when I run and they don't in my other shoes. I have a pair of Saucony Progrid that are just much more comfortable and supportive, wish I had bought another pair of them instead.

Love the Brooks Ghost. Years ago I had my stride "analyzed" and the sales person put me in the Adrenaline. I hated it. Every time I wore it I hated it more. Someone recommended the Ghost and I've worn them ever since. I use them for running, walking and gym workouts and they provide good support and stability. I have a narrow foot and I can wear the medium width without issue. I usually go up a full size in Brooks, which keeps me from putting holes in the toes. I just wish they came in more colors.

I really like this shoe. It has nice cushioning, but not so much that you sink into the shoe. It is very light and breathable which is a huge bonus as I live in Florida. I have wide feet with high arches and a large toe box area and found that it accommodated all of the above. I do disagree with other reviews that this shoe runs small. I ordered a larger pair based on reviews and had to return and order my usual size.

A great running shoe, comfortable with nice room in the toe box. Not overly cushiony, light, perfect for neutral arches.

Had an older model Ghost running shoe and needed to replace them. This newer model fits great and is just as comfortable as my older pair. These are great running shoes! Also, the blue/purple color scheme is very stylish. Can't recommend these enough. I ordered up 1/2 size because that is recommended for running shoes and the fit was superb.

I have a very wide foot but decided to try this shoe even though it only comes up to a D width. Some of the previous comments were that it runs wide. Unfortunately, I had to return it because it wasn't wide enough for me. It would probably fit a true D width perfectly.

I am an Army officer and a high mileage runner. After trying many other running shoes and having toe pain with Asics, I found that this shoe is the one for me. Great cushioning, well constructed and terrific for those who really want a serious running shoe. I would highly recommend this shoe.

I've worn Asics GEL-Nimbus 12s in the past and LOVED them. So I ordered the 14s. They seriously messed up that shoe starting with the removal of the asymmetrical lacing. I felt like I'd been in a car wreck after I wore them after each of my two runs. The pain was just unbearable-knee pain, hip pain, and IT bands. So, I sent them back and ordered several more pairs that other Zappos reviewers recommended. I needed lots of cushion and high arch support. I was torn between the Brooks PureConnect 2s and these Ghost 5s. I felt the arch support was incredible with the PureConnects, but people seemed just crazy for the Ghosts. So I ran the Ghosts yesterday and I must say, so far, they are the BOMB! I did several sprints in them and they are light as air. The support and cushioning are fantastic. I don't think it actually matters that the arch support isn't necessarily meeting and connecting with my very high arches, because somehow, the shoe handles the arch issue perfectly. I'm a convert to Brooks now for sure! I'm so thankful that Zappos has such amazing service.

I have a bunion on one foot which forces me into wides. This wide is not "sloppy" on my feet or gap in the heel. Extremely comfortable walking about 5 miles every day.

I was really excited for these because of the great reviews, but sadly they were not for me. I have high arches, slightly wide forefoot but narrow heels. My heels kept slipping from these even with different lacing techniques. Also, I did not feel that there was that much arch support. My heel started hurting after wearing them for about a week, so I returned them.

This my first purchase of running shoes as I don't run. However, I wanted a workout shoe with more style than offered by cross-trainers. As someone with a AAA narrow foot, I think these shoes fit well overall. Sometimes they feel a little short in toe, but not to the point I feel I need to go up in size. The interior sole is comfortable, with a fair amount of give, although it less present at the toe. This might be a characteristic of a running shoe. Nice color, nice fit.

Love these shoes! I have the weirdest kind of walk. I step on the outside of my heel them roll into the inside ending up on the front part by my big toe. These shoes have helped me walk long miles!!

I had tried the Brooks Pureflow 2 shoes but sadly had to send them back due to fit. So I returned them and ordered my second pair of Brooks Ghost 5 shoes. I have the Dark Denim/Angel Blue/Silver color and they have been great shoes for training and 4 half marathons. The one con that I have (and it's just my vanity talking here!) is their choices of colors. They are sedate and I love to have bright, crazy shoes! That really is why I tried the Pureflow 2's...for the color pop. They were recommended to me by the local running shop after having my gait analyzed. While I am a mild over pronator while walking, I am a more neutral runner with a high arch (roll a nickle under my arch anyone?) My first running shoes were Asics and I ended up with runner's knee. Once I switched to the Brooks, my knee pain has gone away completely! They are well cushioned with a nicely wide toebox that allows for the swelling that goes along with longer runs. I never did have to "break" them in. They were right from the first lace up. I tend to be a fair weather runner but have laced up in the snow, sleet and rain this past spring and they proved to be surefooted, quick drying and comfy even when wet. I do recommend these shoes to a neutral gait, high arched runner. Happy running!

I have purchased these sneakers 3 times for my daughter who grows by leaps and bounds. Her feet are now a size 12 (womans) and has terrible knee pain. When she wears these sneakers her knees feel good and her feet are completely comfortable and she requested them every year. You couldn't find a more comfortable sneaker that lasts a long time. It's money well spent!

These are the most comfortable sneakers I have ever worn. I've never bought Brooks before but am now a customer for life.
