I love these shorts! They are soft and well-made. I had to return the first pair I bought, however, because they seem to run a little big. I am 5'3" and 112 pounds, and the 00 fits perfectly.

I was really looking forward to wearing these shorts this summer, but it is probably not to be. The good: Super soft and comfy cotton, good length on both the in and out seams. They look and feel well made. I'd happily wear these if they would just fit right. The bad: The shape. Granted, I sometimes have a hard time finding jeans and shorts that fit right. I have 38" hips and a 26.5" to 27" waist, so gaping is regularly an issue. I was hopeful that these would work since they have a higher back rise than front, which helps a lot. No such luck. I measured the gap at the back; 3.75 inches. If I wear them low enough on my hips to not gap they are just a hair above being indecent in the back and the crotch is hanging way too low. I'm not going to bother sizing down since I bought the 6 to accommodate my hips and there will still be a gap of a few inches even with a 4. I'm still debating on whether or not to try and spend the time and money to get them tailored.

The Callahan shorts fit really well and don't have that unattractive poofing out/saggy bottom that other brands have. The length is just right, too.

These shorts are sized wrong. I purchased three pairs of Callahan shorts in size 6 this season. All three fit with room to spare. This white pair is so small that I cannot button them.

This short worked so well for me I bought 2. The fit is so comfortable I can wear them on the hottest of days. Functional pockets too, plus they look great!

Fits great. But the material of the shorts is too thin. Can see the lining of the pockets which I don't like. A common problem when buying white shorts.

I have 6 of the Callahan shorts and wear them year around in HI. Love the comfort, colors, fit and style. Strangers stop and ask me about them constantly. They are durable, wash well and need no ironing. Love the Lily tops that can go with them also. I've never had anything from Lily Pulitzer that I don't love.

Love these Lilly Pulitzer, light weight navy shorts. They go with everything and not as heavy as my twill cotton J Crew navy shorts. Well made too...

These shorts are my new favorites. They're just long enough to be flattering, not frumpy. The slight flare at the bottom is also slimming for my not-too-skinny thighs. Navy blue is neutral but kinder to pale skin than black.

These are very cute and very comfortable. A little longer than I'm used to and than they looked in the photo, but I have really long legs. I'm usually a 4-6 and a M fit better than a S.

Nice material, true fit, true navy color. These are great golf, weekend shorts. Too short at 5" for the workplace, but great for more casual affairs. I usually take a size 6 in J. Crew shorts, and the size 6 in these shorts was perfect.

These are great shorts for those who have a butt & thighs. The leg opening is large enough that they aren't too tight in the thigh or butt. I am 5"4 and 145 lbs and ordered a size 6. They fit great! Not to high or low waisted.

I love my new Lilly shorts. You can not go wrong with the Callahan shorts. These shorts are the perfect length! I now have them in 2 colors and look forward to adding to my collection.

I really wanted to like these shorts, they were super soft and comfortable, but they just sat weird on me. I could have either pulled them up really high or have them hang down low with a lot of space in the zipper area. I have an hour glass shape body, so I couldn't have gone any smaller because it wouldn't not have fit around back side, but the waist was just too big so they had to go back.

PERFECT shorts! Great length (doesn't ride) for those with a little bigger thighs like me. Very flattering on tummy too. I got the bright pink first and can't wait to order more!

The Callahan shorts are my favorite. i will say that the solid Callahan shorts run bigger on me than the prints -- not sure why. Regardless, I wear Callahan shorts all summer long and glad to have these hot pink ones in my wardrobe.

Great find. Based on the other reviews I ordered size down, 4 instead of 6, and they fit perfect. I'm 120 lb,and 5.4. The color is as pictured, very pretty. The fabric looks like a good quality and I hope it will wash well. As another reviewer pointed out, perfect length, not too short or long. If you like them on the picture, you won't be disappointed. I'm planning to order another pair.

First off I can't express my level of satisfaction with Zappos, their service is excellent! Second, this shorts is very comfortable, fits well, and in my opinion has a perfect length not too short not too long.

The Callahan short is my favorite summer short ever! They are well made, perfectly structured, and fit like a glove. I wear these in a 4. I wear other brands (Ann Taylor, Talbots, LOFT, JCrew) in the same size. This short fits better than other brands because they do not gape at the waist. The material is lightweight and a perfect weight for hot summers. The 5" inseam is comfortable. I love that they come in fun prints, as well as fun solids. Easy to dress up or down. They shrink a little when dried, and do not stretch out with wear. I have 5 pairs now, and still would be happy with a few more.

After reading plenty of reviews stating that these shorts run really huge, I chose to order two sizes down. BIG MISTAKE! Newer reviews are correct in saying that these shorts now run (at least) two sizes too small. I am a solid size 10 and the size 12's are a bit too tight. I am keeping them in hopes I will be able to fit into them after losing some lbs. They do not stretch out, either.

Weird -- great quality fabric and nice, modest-but-peppy leg length, but the six (I usually wear a 6 or 8) was enormous. I'm toying with the idea of getting a 4.

I have 7 pairs of these shorts, some patterned and some not. I think they're a great fit! Plus I love the fact that they are constructed using a lightweight cotton.

Not thick material - can see right through shorts. Not high quality in my opinion

These shorts looked worn and washed when I received them. They must have been returned by another Zappos shopper, then sent to me.
