This is my first pair of Volatiles, which I ordered because of all the reviews about how incredibly comfortable they are. I just received these a little while ago (24 hours from the time I ordered them!) and was shocked to see the color of these "Natural" thongs: they are called "Natural" and appear totally "Natural" in the photos at every angle and at the highest zoom, but they actually have a gold metallic thread running through the fabric. I ordered the natural color because I wanted totally neutral-colored flip-flops so did not like the gold glitzy look at first, but am getting used to it while I am writing this. They already do not look too glitzy and garish anymore, so I will keep them, but don't order these if you don't want a gold metallic light-catching sparkle on your flip-flops. And they are, indeed, incredibly comfortable.

Great flip flop if you are looking for one with height. Very comfortable can be worn for long periods of time and walking too!Nice neutral for summer. I'm normally a size 8 1/2 I sized down to 8 and they are a perfect fit.

These are absolutely awesome! I love Zappos! They provide free shipping both ways and the shoes are exactly as they look. The girls describing items could talk slower though.

Love these! This is my second pair of exactly the same ones. The first pair I got last year, and they have become my commuter pair. While they are in perfectly good shape, they have picked up the dirt and grime of the city so I don't like wearing them for anything but commuting. They are very comfortable, the footbed is very soft and almost cushion like. The height is perfect, as I like them a little higher than a regular flip flop. There is a hint of lurex thread in the thong and wedge, a goldish color, but nothing that screams bling and barely noticeable. Just adds a little texture. Only thing I noticed from the first pair to the second, is that the first pair is a little wider in the toe bed area...but nothing drastic. Even got caught in a bad rainstorm with them, and they're absolutely fine!

This is my favorite shoe of the summer. It is very cushioned, well made, and comfortable.

Love these dressy flops! They're too nice IMO to ruin at the beach. I live in San Diego so it's flops for me much of the time. These are so perfect, light, comfy and supportive. I bought the black a month ago and just ordered the tan.

Love wearing this type of platform flip-flop in the summer. They are very comfortable and seem to be well constructed with decent materials so that they will look good for several summers to come. I agree that the gold threads are hard to see online. I usually don't like bling on my shoes, but the gold thread is just enough to dress them up a little - just a hint of shiny thread. I am a solid 9.5. The 9 fits fine. I am thinking of getting another pair of Volatiles after wearing these.

My favorite flip flops. This is my 2nd pair of them. My husband stepped on the back of my prior shoe and it ended up breaking the thong piece. I was so happy to find they still made them.

After spending quite some time on Zappos website trying to come up with the perfect shoe for a specific outfit/occasion, I came back repeatedly to Volatile Tanorama...and wasn't disappointed! The specs described the shoe perfectly; the video was quite helpful, the shoe is fun, comfortable, stylish (did I say comfortable? - it sure is!). I love the shoe; I love doing business with Zappos!

I recently bought these Volatile shoes for the first time, and they are, without a doubt the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn! I plan to buy more in other colors!

I love my Volatile sandals! They are incredibly comfortable! (And the boost in height is great.) This brand is one of my favorites! I own several pairs and love every one! Must have for summer!

Love Zappos and these sandals are awesome too. Great value for price. My son's girlfriend wore these for a walk and she said they were most comfortable flip flops ever. Size true to size.

These are the most comfortable flip-flops that I have ever owned! Everything about them is really comfortable without losing any of their style. They look very classy and have some really nice height and I can walk all day in them no problem! I bought the natural and I love the gold thread running through them. They are very suble but they add a very pretty shimmer & dresses up the shoes.

I bought these flip flops last year in brown, and they WERE brown. I loved them, and wanted a new pair for this year, so I ordered the shoes above a few weeks ago. I was very disappointed in the metallic bronze/gold shoe I received. I did not send them back because I didn't want the hassle. I love everything about them other than the color. Go back to plain brown!!! Much nicer, and more expensive looking than the metallic.

I bought these in brown, and I love the extra little bling the metallic highlights give these shoes. They aren't over the top, so I can wear them casually or when I'm dressed up a bit. They look fabulous with maxi skirts! Not only are they pretty, they are also incredibly comfortable. The top of the footbed is cushioned just enough that you can walk in these a really long time and still not have tired feet. The inside of the strap is also cushioned, so basically your foot is being cushioned anywhere the shoe touches. The wedge soul is very stable, so I'm not concerned about rolling my ankles either. The strap that goes between my toes is positioned perfectly (my toes don't curl over the edge like they do in some of the other brands of this type of shoe), and it does not dig in or try to push my toe in any way. They were comfortable right out of the box with no break-in needed. I also bought the Volatile Island sandals that are just a bit lower, but these are just as comfortable. I LOVE both styles, and they have become my go-to summer shoes!!

I have several pairs in various colors. I wear them with pants, shorts, dresses and capris.

I wear them every day now! Whether I have an outfit that has brown or black. So comfortable and being 5'2 gives me an extra lift with my sun dresses this summer!

I got these for a vacation that I am taking soon. So I have not got to wear them yet (just around the house), but so far they feel great! I love the look of them! I have wide feet and these fit perfectly!

My foot measures at size 7.5 and I always order up when half sizes aren't available, one reason being that the width across my toes tends to be wider than many shoe beds and the half size up helps. Since I had to order size 8 in these, there's about 1/4" space behind my heel and about 1/3" above my toes, which is fine. The strap is comfortable and holds the shoe close to the bottom of my foot without being constricting. I haven't worn them a long time or walked in them other than around the room, but I plan to wear them when I have to do minimal walking, such as at the resort where I'll be staying. These look very cute with skirts and capris, and the heel height is great for me since I'm 5'3".

These slippers are awesome! So comfortable and just the right height for a gal with plantar f. problems (and being vertically challenged). I love them so much I ordered a second pair. I tried other slippers from Volatile line and be warned! The straps fit differently from style to style even though they may look very similar. The Island shoe and Cappuccino are more snug.
