This jacket is very warm. It has taken me through a New York City winter. But, the front pockets are not good. When you have your hands in them, they are always somewhat bothered by the large tooth on the zipper. Also, there is very little down, it is mostly just in, so you cannot keep things in the pockets without zipping them up. Also, the pocket inside is placed a little too low: you cannot really get at it without undoing the belt. So, the utility is not great. But it will keep you warm and dry. After loosing this coat, I bought the North Face Greta instead.

Love at first sight with this jacket! Not only is it stylish but does keep me warm without the "puffy" look.

Beautiful coat. Fabric is crispy. Belt is metal and is a pop out clip which is nice and easy to get in and out of. The sleeves can be altered easily. There is a insert cuff but is sewn as another separate lining. The cut is for tall and slim. I have broad shoulders and a small is usually fits me but this is very fitted in the torso. I tried it on with a sweater and I cannot move. Unfortunately it has to go back. I am going to try a medium but fear it maybe too long. I am 5' 106 lbs.

LOVE this coat! It's so warm, perfect for Ohio winters. I'm 5'6, 102 Ibs and the XS fits perfectly. I originally had the purple one from two years ago but my mom started wearing my jacket so much because the purple looks SO good on her and she loves the style. I finally just gave it to her. So I needed a new coat, decided to purchase the exact same style in Black. Looks so good with boots!

Between knit cuffs in the sleeves and a zipper and snaps to close the coat there is no way you will get wet or cold. The belt adds additional style. The weight and length are perfect for daily wear. It's my favorite coat.

This coat fits great and is super warm! I am 5'7 and 125 lb; I originally ordered a small but returned it for an x-small so it would be more fitted. Very cute coat, I would recommend it to anyone!

Super warm jacket! I am short- 5'1"/120lbs and the small fits great. It hits right above my knee. The belt looks really cute and I love the faux fur around the hood. Like always, very fast shipping! Overall an excellent Zappos purchase!

My 1st down jacket. I felt really warm in 40 degrees. Love the strap, unlike other down jackets, I can still see my figure. Good length can wear skirt with it and keep warm. It's a long coat for a day to day coat. Love the buttons and zipper accessibility. As I read another review the inner Zipper is in an uncomfortable place, but it's the least of my problems, the jacket has a bunch of other zippers. I can't detach the foodie just the fur, don't mind that a lot.

Love, love, love! My Sister has me so hooked on The North face, I want ONLY this brand! I have short jacket, and lighter fleece, and tops! And this Jacket tops them all and is too cute! Sale price too!

Love it! Ordered three other styles before this one and the Brooklyn was by far the best fit! Super warm yet not bulky! If unsure of size, order down a size versus up, 6' & 132lbs and size small fits great even with a couple of layers!

We bought this for my daughter who will be heading up north for college. She loves it! We had to exchange the xs for a s and it fit her better. She's 5'6" and weighs about 120 lbs.

Great coat. It is incredibly warm, functional and cute. It would be great if it were just three inches longer, but it is a comfortable length.

I really wanted a down coat with a hood, that wasn't too bulky. So far I have worn this in weather below 32F. It's REALLY warm, which is great for east coast winters. My only problem is the length of the coat. I wish it were just a tad longer, I probably should have gone for the Arctic Parka. Overall, it's warm (waterproof), not overtly bulky like most down coats and it has a hood, so it ticks most of my needs. I would recommend it for sure, it's still long enough to cover up my booty, but not quite long enough to get to my knees. Still a great buy :-)

This jacket is incredibly comfy and warm and probably the coziest winter jacket I've ever had. Like some other people have mentioned, it does collect a fair bit of dust and bits of fuzz, but nothing worth returning the coat over. Also, it's puffier than it appears in the photo. All in all, a great coat and I've been really happy with it.

A beautiful jacket, very warm and well-made. I returned it only because it wasn't flattering. It made me look a little thick around the middle. It would probably be fine on someone built differently! I ended up getting the Transit Jacket, very pretty, same color, more flattering, definitely not as warm.

This is a nicely made coat that runs true to size. I normally wear a Medium (6-8, with a 36D bust) and I could easily wear this with a sweater underneath. The Bittersweet Brown color looked the same as online. What I like most is that it felt warm but wasn't overly puffy looking (I was only able to try in 50 degree temp though). Also like that the fur on the hood can be removed if desired. However, it has a very utilitarian/camping sort of look and I'd like something a bit more stylish. This one is going back. I'm going to try the Ivanka Trump Down Belted Short Coat.

I am 5'1 and 100lbs. I ordered the xs and it hits me a few inches above the knee. It's a baggy fit on me, more reminiscent of a parka fit than a jacket fit. I cinched the belt to keep the bagginess under control and to give it a more feminine silhouette. The fabric is a bit stiff, which can make the bagginess look exaggerated and makes a lot of noise when you're moving. This can be a bit annoying but it's so warm, I'm willing to put up with it. This jacket is extremely warm but it breathes enough that I can keep wearing it in the car on the way to work without overheating. I look forward to walking my dog in -10 wind chill in this.

Very warm, very cute! The look is a little bulky, the picture is very accurate. My only complaint is that there are 2 pockets right on the bust line. This adds to the bulkiness, and I can't imagine what a woman would put in them. Overall, I love it!
