This is my third steam station and I like it very much. One of my favorite features is that you can see the water level and another is that it has a "calc-away system" that tells you when to take out the scale collector and rinse away the scale. This is the first time I've had a station that does that and I expect that it will lengthen the life of the appliance. The unit heats up quickly and certainly irons faster and better than a conventional iron.

Buyer Beware! This is a horrible product. After 10 months, it not only leaks from the sole plate, but it dumped water all over the iron station at the end of my ironing board, which is now rusted and will need to be replaced and ruined my floor. It steams all by itself for several minutes at a time and makes a noise so loud that you can't talk to someone standing right next to you. Rowenta should be ashamed of themselves for making and selling such an inferior product. I will never buy another Rowenta product -- EVER!

This thing is amazing. It's hard to rave about an iron, but here I am, raving about an iron.

The greatest iron you'll ever use. It's certainly professional grade, but as long as you're okay with ironing with something heavy duty then you'll love it. The constant steam feature and how hot it gets will iron absolutely anything. If you iron long sleeve button downs at least once a week this iron will be worth the money.

Great investment! Is cutting my ironing time in half; at least. The amount and power of steam is impressive. As other reviews said this doesn't have a power cord so you just need to un-plug it when you are done. Which is safer anyway.

This is my second Rowenta steam generator and it makes even more steam the my old one. My old one lasted 9 years with one repair, I'm hoping I get the same life out of this one. I am a seamstress and use this iron all the time.

If you need to get the job done, this is the iron. I do a lot of sewing and this iron is wonderful for all my projects. I love the large water tank.

This is my third Rowenta Steam Station iron. I traded up to this model because this is a lighter, better designed version of the boiler design and because I am passing on my older one to my daughter-in-law. I always joke that this iron is so great at removing wrinkles that if one could stand it, it would take the wrinkles out of one's face! I iron quite a lot, so the power of this Rowenta cuts down on my ironing time and it also doubles as a steamer to remove wrinkles from curtains that are already hung, or a dress or suit on a hanger. This iron is appreciably lighter and less bulky than all previous models and the nose of the iron has been redesigned to fit more easily between buttons; much better for fine work. It's great, but always remember to keep your fingers away from the area that you are steaming, as the burst of steam is very powerful! Only down side is that it is a bit noisy at times because of the boiler, but I imagine that can't be helped.

I love this iron. I bought it as a replacement for a Rowenta steam station that wore out after many years of use. Do not bother with the cheaper model DG5030U0. It leaks. I know because I tried it first. I hate to iron and this iron cuts my ironing time in half. It is also great for anyone who sews. The only drawback is that there is no on/off button so it has to be unplugged after each use, which is a nuisance but because it produces such good steam I can live with that. I am wondering if this is some new safety feature dictated by OSHA. But because of the lack of an on off switch I am only giving this iron four stars..

Unit works great...only two large/very important issues: 1) the unit has no on/off switch - must be unplugged after each use, and 2) you're supposed to empty the water from the unit after each use - picking up and turning over the unit each time. To each of these issues I say "Really?!" - you have got to be kidding. Called Rowenta and they confirmed the unit/iron was designed to be unplugged from the wall and emptied after each use. Wow! Not for me!
