First of all, I am a huge fan of Vans. They are not too expensive, and I can get just about every color to match hats, hoodies, etc. The Vans 106 Vulcanized are awesome. They are very similar to the original lace ups/slip-ons, but are just a little higher on your ankle. Not much, but enough to prevent my pants from dragging the little that they do with the originals. I picked up the chambray peacoat/indian teal for myself and have gotten countless compliments on the color. I am a big shoe guy and have only seen this color on Zappos. I went to the Vans store in them and the associate was flipping over the color cause he had never seen them before. I got my girlfriend the navy color because she said she could wear them with anything. She loved them just as much as I do. At the price, for two pairs of shoes it's a steal. I love Zappos.com and I love Vans. It's a match made in heaven!

Great simple sneaker. Goes great with jeans or shorts. Comes with white and dark laces which is kind of cool. I like the 106 vulcanized better then the core classics because they feel a little more sturdy and comfortable...they sit a little higher on the ankle too. Great all around sneaker

Great shoe. Glad I spent a little extra over the traditional Vans. The comfort is worth the extra money.

This is my second pair of these Core Classics so I obviously have been very satisfied with the shoe. I'm 66 years old and find the shoe extremely comfortable working out at the gym and walking in general and actually get compliments from the younger generation for wearing a 'cool' shoe.

Looked good online but in person these are really sharp. Not only a cool skate shoe, but can easily be dressed up for a classy yet stylish fashion.

I love these shoes. They felt great right out of the box. The women's 5.5 was true to size. So happy to find them in my size. I love the thick sole, style, and feel.

I bought these shoes for my boyfriend. He has been looking for them for months, but I knew where to get them. He tore open the box and tried them on and they fit. These shoes are true to the size and very comfortable. It is just like getting them from the store without ever leaving your house!

They fit great even though they rub against the back of my foot but that's just me beside that, I love them and they're awesome.

Great fit, great style. I've been looking for some shoes to fill the gap between sneakers and shoes and these fit the bill. Keeping the soles clean requires a little effort but they are simply great looking kicks. I'm hoping that the blue and creme come back again.

Expect the shoes to be stiff and uncomfortable for the first week or so--it cut me around the ankle bones. Eventually, if you walk long enough and often enough, these shoes will soften and become the most comfortable shoes ever! Not sure if it's just me, but within a month, the padding is already torn and the sole of the shoes is detaching a little. Regardless, very comfortable and goes well with any outfit! If you want arch support, Vans might not be the right shoes for you.

My first time buying this brand of Vans. I really like the original vans. This has less cushion in the heel and fits a little looser than other vans I have owned in the past. Overall, the shoe is pretty slick, but I think I'm going to head back to the original brand with my next purchase.

I love them [as I do most of my Vans]. I was shocked to find them on here and on sale. A pleasant surprise and they got here in like 2 days. Crazy. I know, right?

These shoes look really good with just about anything! In the beginning the back gave me a blister on my ankle, but you can fix that by breaking them in. If you have high arches you might want to get some orthotics. Overall a great shoe!

So comfy, perfect summer sneaker if you're looking for a classic with a little edge! It does feel a little wide, not sure if that is because it is a unisex shoe, luckily it has laces and you can just cinch them a little tighter!

Great kicks. I used to have a pair of similar vans in the late 70's, and these still rock! I did have to put an insert in for my high arch, but I love these sneakers.

I bought these Vans for my 15 year old son who hates to go shopping. Fit true to size, just what he expected and he didn't have to leave the house. He loves them and I love Zappos!

Nice shoes. The color is like chambray black, so it looks dark grey from far away instead of jet black.

Comfortable and pretty stylish. They go well with jeans, and can even function as a poor man's dress shoes (or a young man's, in this case). Can't beat a great pair of Vans.
