These are a very cute and versatile shoe. Easy for kids to put on/take off by themselves, and can be worn as pool shoes, or play shoes. My 6 year old wears these to school, and he complains that his feet hurt unless he wears them with socks. Maybe the plastic inside rubs his skin? Since I bought them as an easy slip on, no sock shoe for warm weather, that was kind of disappointing. The other downside is, there is a lot of space around the ankle, (probably so they can be slipped on easily) and when he plays outside he gets tons of stuff inside his shoes. Wood chips, pebbles, dirt. Overall though, they are easy to wash, comfortable when worn with socks, and still very cute.

These shoes, as CUTE as they are, and as practical as they seem, really fit my kids too narrow, and I am sure that they have shrunk:( They are so much work to get on my boys that sadly I have to return:((

Super cute shoe. My boys aged 2 and 3 love them, but they're feet get sweaty and they have both gotten blisters after wearing them a short time. The back of the shoe is cut low on the heel. For the price, I would go with the crocs Micah for an outdoor play shoe. It has a little pad on the heel area. Disappointing, because they are cute, but not very practical.
I'd also recommend:

Such a cute shoe in real life but it just doesn't have the right size. They need to add half size! I'm so bummed that the kids' feet are right in between 2 sizes. The material seems flexible enough to be comfortable. Although I'm not sure about the bumps on the inside sole, it might hurt after walking on it a while.

These maybe good for some but my kids narrow foot steps right out. I would like more grip on the sole too.

The style is really cute but they are very hard to get on his feet, even though they are the right size and they rubbed blisters. I thought they just needed to be worn in but as you can imagine, he doesn't want to wear them long enough to do that. When I try to put them on him he cries so he has literally only worn them once. Waste of a lot of money.

These shoes are really cute and durable so I was hoping they would work out but no luck. They are incredibly hard to get on. Once the shoe is on, my kids feet fit fine in them in terms of length but my 7 year old said they were really uncomfortable and rubbed his heels. For my 2 year old I couldn't even get them on his pudgy feet. Unless you want to battle your kids shoes every day I would pass on these.

My children have very narrow feet but given the positive reviews on Natives and many parent friends that own the brand for their children I opted to try for summer shoe. They normally wear keens. They fit very wide on both my kids and without strap adjustment no way to adjust the fit. It would defeat the purpose to wear the shoe with socks. I did keep for my toddler, age 2 with a size 5 foot. He likes to climb a lot like his older brother, especially up the slide and these provide little traction and foot support. My kids also like to ride scooters and I feel these will provide limited support for active children, unless they have a wide foot. I personally cannot recommend this shoe for children with narrow feet. They are very cute though and easy to clean.

Mostly a good shoe, but we left them outside to dry and they deformed in the heat. I was surprised they were not more durable.

My daughter is a 8.5 and the 9 is too big. I also think $35 is crazy for a toddler shoe. A child's shoe should not cost as much as an adult's shoe. The Croc's I just ordered for myself were cheaper than these shoes.

I originally ordered a size 9 and my son walked right out of them. I then ordered a size 8 and they were still too big. Also, I noticed the sole is raised and therefore contributed to my son's heel lifting in and out of the size 8 as well. Nothing to truly support or secure to keep the feet inside the shoe.

I bought these and within 20 min of wearing them both of my children had blisters on their feet. I'm so bummed! I wanted to love them. I even ordered two sizes to ensure they got the best fit. They just didn't work out for us.

These shoes were never particularly useful for my children. I bought them as a safer alternative to crocs since they stay on better, but the boys couldn't get them on by themselves and they preferred to wear their stride rite made-to-play sandals. I was hoping these would be our summer staple but it didn't work out that way.

I just ordered these for my (really large) 10 month old. I ordered a size 4 and size 5. The four, I can barely squish his foot into and the 5 is pretty big. He has super wide and fat feet and I thought based on reviews these would be perfect. The back is really low and his foot keeps slipping out of them. Any time he tries standing up, his foot pops out of the shoe. I wished the back was a little higher, otherwise these would be a perfect shoe. Unfortunately these need to go back.

My son absolutely loved these shoes, and I thought they were just adorable. Unfortunately, they run small, and after returning and getting the correct size, we found them pretty hard to put on, and now he has started getting blisters from them. Unfortunately, although I thought these were a stylish alternative to Crocs for summer shoes for a toddler, we will be purchasing Crocs next!

I received used shoes. It wasn’t even discreet - the soles were dirty, the inside was caked with dirt, and the white parts were discolored from being worn. Zappos replaced the shoes, but now I have to take time to go return the old ones. Very annoying. What is going on with Zappos quality control???

FAKE!! I received fake natives. I compared them to my sons other pairs of native shoes and the symbol on the sole and overall material are different. I’ve had this same problem when I ordered from Amazon. Do yourself a favor and order from Nordstrom or another retailer. The real ones are much better. These also smelled much worse like chemicals. Photo one are my sons pair from Nordstrom and photo two are the ones I just purchased. You can see the fake logo in the second photo.

no rating, you sent me the wrong item!!!!! totally aggravating, I did not get the hot pink shoes I ordered. I got two pairs of the same light pink shoes. This was a gift!!!! clearly your packaging dept did not look inside the box before they shipped the item.

These are so hard to get on! I spent about a minute trying to wrestle these on my toddler before giving up. Sizing was correct so I consider this a design flaw. Additionally, Zappos sent them without a box, and they arrived all misshapen. I don’t think this effected my ability to get them on, but I would have returned them for that reason alone.

The shoe felt stiffer than previous versions of the same shoe and cut my daughter's foot. Seemed to be a fake, not authentic Native Jefferson.

One of the two shoes warped in the sun and now won't fit. Kids leave shoes places, this is unacceptable for kids shoes!
