I have had plantar fasciitis for over a year. I noticed during the summer that my feet felt so much better in the Orthaheel Tide flip flops. I ordered these insoles to continue to have the support in my shoes during the cooler months. Within a few days of starting to wear the insoles all the time, my pain completely went away! I ordered the Oh Active ones too as well as the slim fit to go in dressier shoes. The real test of this product came last week when I walked all over Disney World with great nieces and nephews. Not one problem and for 4 consecutive days we put in a lot of mileage. I cannot recommend them enough and I mention them to all who have foot/knee problems. My knees have felt better too! Orthaheel, keep up producing this good product and don't change a thing! Thanks----they have made a world of difference to me!

I have plantar fasciitis. I got custom fit insoles from my doctor. These are just as comfortable. They are a good buy for the money.

I have heel spurs and need to wear my Orthaheel shoes; there are lots of other shoes that I really love and found that I could remove the insole out of a shoe and slip in these Orthaheel insoles! What a blessing! It is hard to use these full length insoles on top of another insole as it makes a shoe too tight! Check to see if the insole of your shoe can be removed. Otherwise try the half Orthaheel insole instead. I love them!

I have suffered so bad with foot pain. I have very high arches. These shoes and orthotics have saved me. The sandals and slippers etc. really work. Now I do not have to go to the the foot doctor and shots anymore. I love Zappos!

This is curved too much in the middle. It has good support in the arch, but the raised part extends too far outward where the foot is more flat. It feels like I am stepping on a rock. This could be a great insole, but to me the middle part does not conform to the natural shape of the foot.

Runs about a 1/2 size big. I normally wear an 8.5 B, but the small was the right fit. I have fallen arches and this allow me to stand for much longer periods of time without hurting feet, heels, and ankles. I have them paired with a pair of New Balance athletic shoes; still trying to find other shoes these might fit into well. In some shoes these will slide in no problem, but the arch then doesn't hit the right spot. But at least they worked in the NB shoes.

The nature of the arch design feels a little uncomfortable at first, but after a while they feel good and fully support your arch. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for excellent arch support. They are not cheap but they work!
There are other shoe inserts by "walk-Hero" that do the same thing as these on Amazon which I just ordered another pair to try them out. They were about half the price ($14.95) of the Vionic with a huge number of positive reviews...

I ordered the XS for my 11 year old who has inherited my flat feet. He wears a boy's size 4, and these needed only a minor trim to fit into his shoes. He says they offer more support than what the shoe came with. I would say these offer more than moderate support, but not quite excellent support. I got the Orthaheel active inserts and those feel a bit more firm than these (not by much, though).

I’m a physical therapist and on a mission to find over-the-counter orthotics I can recommend to my patients. They need to work for most people/activities, which means moderate arch support, moderate motion control, and some cushion for comfort. After testing at least a dozen kinds, the RELIEF orthotics fit the bill. Only 2 complaints: the arch is a shade too high but still workable for most folks; and the sizing - I'm a size 8, the Small is tiny bit too short but Medium is way too big. But overall I'll be recommending these.

Excellent choice for a removeable arch support. Arch is securely built up enough to prevent it from flattening out with the weight of your body when you walk. Just make sure the shoes you buy are "orthotic-friendly," so you can remove the manufacturer's insole (check to see that it's not sewn or glued down inside the shoe) and then you can insert the Vionic arch support in its place. It can easily be cut down to fit a limited range of sizes. Also, with some older pairs of shoes, I've been able to use the Vionic arch support over the existing insole and still have room for my arch supports when the shoes haves stretched out alot from wear.

Perfect! I have back problems because of osteoporosis arthritis & degenerative disc disease. These insoles support my feet, align my ankles properly and decrease the stress on my spine. They’re great!

These slipped easily into my leather boots to extend the life of the shoes and provide greatly enhanced comfort. The cushioning in the heel of these inserts has fully packed out after about 2 years of use but I would buy again due to the great arch support and stability provided by the inserts. I would probably classify these as a medium-volume insert that works well if you have a little bit of extra space to fill in your shoes or boots. For a lower-volume option without the heel cushion (works great in athletic shoes) but still with great arch support and durability, I recommend the Powerstep brand original inserts.

These insoles are AMAZING. I've used all kinds of insoles from all kinds of brands, and none even come close to these. I work on my feet all day, I have bad knees and a bad back, and these are literally the only insoles I've ever found that truly make a huge difference. They've honestly changed my life, which sounds dramatic but it's true. I don't come home from work hobbling around and near tears from foot pain anymore. That's MAJOR for me!
I was introduced to these when I bought my first pair of Vionic shoes. I'm SO happy that they sell these insoles separately so I can put them into different shoes. They are a must for every single boot and sneaker I own (they sometimes don't fit into flats by other brands, for that I suggest ordering a half to a whole size up from your normal size, and maybe a wide width if available, and taking out the insole that comes in the shoes so the Vionic insole fits in better).
I went so many years without realizing that my feet needed actual good SUPPORT to be totally comfortable. Gel and memory foam and squishy things like that give you literally no support (fine if you're out running errands for a bit, going to dinner, etc., but for work or being on your feet a lot, actual support is a MUST!). If you're not used to so much support, it can take a week or two to get used to them. But then basically the skies will open up and sing hallelujah for you as you get through your day without wanting to break down and cry because of how much your feet hurt.
I've turned others on to these miraculous things and I myself will buy them forever and ever. Bottom line, if you have foot pain, if you work on your feet, if your heels KILL, if you've tried everything else...get these. You can return 'em if you don't like them, but I promise you'll love them. Serious life-changer. Please never stop making these!

This is one item that Vionic did not screw up and render useless after they bought Orthaheel. Those who appreciated and purchased the original Orthaheel shoes and sandals probably know what I mean. The sizing, quality and arch support/mechanics of the product line has never been the same. Second purchase of this insert - lightweight, comfortable, good arch support for casual use, will fit full to moderate volume shoes. Plan to purchase more so it is not necessary to keep switching out to different shoes.

Hi! I wanted to provide a review based on fit alone as I am right in that sweet spot between sizes. I wear a women 8.5 and bought these to go in my casual sneaker/boots. I bought both sizes, small & medium, and here are my thoughts. The small was the perfect fit in my 8.5 shoes: a tad short but my toes couldn't even feel the slight gap. But the arch was way too far back for my foot. So I tried again with the medium, cutting off the tip of the inserts. These are a tad wide in the heel and toe box for my shoes so it does take a tad more shoving in. But the arch is in the perfect spot. So if you are between sizes I would suggest sizing up for arch alignment.

I have been impressed with the feel of the 3/4 length Vionic insoles so much that I ordered this full-length pair. However, the sizing is unfortunate, as they lump the size together 8 1/2 - 10. I'm consistently an 8 1/2, so I needed to do a ton of trimming in order to fit them into my shoes - length and width - and they don't have size marks, so I was pretty much winging it by using some old insoles. But, once I got them trimmed to fit in my shoes, it felt like the arch was just a little off, likely more geared toward a foot on the longer end of the spectrum. I should have ordered the size down that grouped sizes ending at 8, but I obviously can't return these now since I've done all the trimming. Hopefully they'll work all right, but not super ideal.

I ordered the women's size 8.5-10. I wear a size 8.5 or 9 shoe. The full length insole was too long to fit into any of my shoes even with taking the insole of the shoe out. They did not feel very supportive either. And I was disappointed with the 3/4 length insoles also because I could feel a ridge where the end of it cut across my foot.

These are the BEST. Literally they make flat shoes possible for my husband and myself. I buy my shoes a half size larger, put in the insert and it's great. I expect that these very well might save us from knee surgery someday. They certainly save us from knee and back pain now.

Wow! I’ve been searching for good insoles with excellent arch support. I wear the vionic slippers and I don’t know why I didn’t try these sooner. Even my ankles feel better. Such an improvement!!!

Had pretty bad plantar fasciitis. I had to admit I was doubtful that these would work. I put them in all of my shoes. Within a month I was back to being pain free. Super awesome product.

These are so far the best orthotics I have tried to help reduce my foot pain (arch) and knee pain that stems from overpronation and sensory loss in my legs from a chronic nerve condition. I've also tried custom orthotics from a podiatrist and ended up returning to this brand. These are best suited for shoes that are generally flat and have a removable insole. For my shoes that have more of a heel drop in the shoe and/or don't have a removable insole, I've used the 3/4 length with similar success. They provide arch support while still providing some shock absorption because the core is a firm foam, as opposed to rigid plastic unlike another popular brand I've tried. For me, that makes these the better choice as an active person in early 30's being hampered by this chronic medical condition--I need some give to my footwear otherwise the firm plastic brands of designer orthotics just put too much force back through my feet that carries through to my knees--not good.
That being said, they're still not a "cure-all." I don't believe these "cured" my occasional plantar fasciitis, but they're one non-invasive and cost-effective tool in the toolkit. They seem to be long-lasting (the packaging suggests a year), although the sueded cover loses its texture (as expected), and the logo in the heel cup rubs off after a few months use, making them not so inviting to look at after a while, but this doesn't impact their function. I need more of a heel drop to make them fit better and remove tension from my Achilles (another side effect of my medical condition), but I've been able to use them with heel lifts and also inside winter boots without issue, even though they're made primarily for flat shoes.
Especially with Zappos' generous return policy, these are definitely worth a try for foot and knee pain.

I feel like I should get paid a consulting fee by Vionic...I've done so much marketing for them! I tell all my friends and family (and even random people that I overhear talking about plantar fasciitis). Anyway, these shoes, sandals and insoles rock. Simply put, I am walking pain-free again, after a year of horrible pain from plantar fasciitis. Thank you, Vionic! My only request: Please make some more cute work shoes!
