I'm a big fan of Doc Martens, and I just moved to the desert from NYC, so I needed a pair of new Docs that would respond better to heat and wouldn't make me look like "that guy" walking around in leather boots in 108 degree weather, the Aflie turned out to be the perfect style. Because I don't wear these with thick boot socks, they're pretty roomy in side, but I feel that if I go down a size they'd be too small. It's too bad that Doc Marten doesn't do half sizes. They're super comfortable, I forget they're even on, and I think they're a great alternative to traditional Docs for those of us who live in warmer climates.

I was looking for a canvas shoe to replace my Chucks. I have been a converse guy for my casual/good looking shoes for some time, all blacks. I saw these in a store and fell for them immediately. They wear like a boot, are resilient like a chuck, and have a comfortable foot bed. Ankle support is strong and there is enough of a sole that stepping in puddles doesn't require a deep breath. Plus they look absolutely rad; I wear slacks and dress shirts for school, with the leg-cuffs over they look like nice shoes. But then when you cross your legs, people know what's up when they see the "air wair" tab.

Alfies are wonderful. I have worn these in many situations now (office, casual, outdoors in northern Michigan winter) and they have proven themselves. I have gotten compliments on them from anyone that has seen them: a wide age-range of people. A few things of note: they are comfortable, but perhaps not if you are on your feet all day. Standing in them for too long may be uncomfortable but I have worn them all day at my active job and my feet have been fine. Though I have tested them outside, they are by no means waterproof, but also comfortably warm with a thick sock. I am half a size and ended up buying the next size up; they fit great and I would definitely recommend you do the same when determining size and fit. Bottom line: these are some of the most stylish and functional casual vegan boots that I have owned. They are not perfect, but they have too many positive qualities to pass up.

I wish doc martens came in half sizes because a 9.5 would’ve been perfect for me but other than that it is a great shoe!

Great minimalist vegan boot. I wanted something for working indoors during the winter in Pittsburgh and these are great for it. I got size UK 11/US 12 and I usually fit into US 11.5-12.

These are great shoes. I recently purchased them and people seem to like them. I just wish they came in half sizes. I usually wear a 10.5, but had to settle with a 10. I replaced the insoles that the shoes come with. I put in my own insoles but when I did that it felt a bit too snug, not tight, but snug. So I changed them back with the doc martens insoles. They're thin but work fine. I can settle with that. I actually do have room in there. Not tight at all. I wear thin socks with these.

Only had these boots for 2 weeks and I love them. Wear them all the time. I love the Alfie's. These are my second pair. Great pairing of style & comfort

Like most others say it runs about a half size larger. I wear a US11.5 and the UK10/US11 fits nicely. The toebox feels slightly narrow, but is not uncomfortable. Comfortable sole and great style. I'm very happy with them.

I love these shoes. I bought a black canvas pair four months ago and wear them constantly. I think that I will get a red pair and maybe try the low top version. The sole looks like it will last forever but is very comfortable. The canvas is high quality and still shows very little wear. I have had a few positive comments from strangers as well. I cannot say enough good things. It is great to buy a product that I am totally happy with.

I was looking for a shoe that fits my style perfectly and this was definitely the shoe! I was a little bit sketchy about buying the shoe, but once I got it, I fell in love! This shoe is darker than the picture and I ordered a whole size down and it has great room like my usual size! I'm overall very happy with my purchase.

I usually were a 10 1/2 in Vans or Converse. I ordered a half size down and they fit perfectly! I recommend you wear these with calf socks because the back of the shoe can rub against your achilles. Besides that they're comfortable, look sharp, and they are a lot more substantial than other canvas high tops.

Shoe seemed nice and stiff, more so than say the canvas of a Chuck Taylor or P.F. Flyer, and has a much more comfortable. Unfortunately the shoe runs large. I wear between a 9.5 - 10.5 in almost all shoes, so I ordered a 10 in these. I probably need a 9, maybe even an 8.5 to get the fit I want. I'll give a better review once I have a pair that fits properly.

We followed the advice in the reviews and ordered a half size smaller than usual. (Usual size is men's US size 11.5, so we got the 11). Bad move, they are too short. Have now ordered the 12. Luckily ONE pair left. Hoping for a better outcome with the second pair. Style-wise, though, exactly what we've been looking for, literally for years! Will probably buy in other colors as soon as we confirm the 12 is a fit.

These shoes were exactly what i was looking for something casual with a little class. They are comfortable. Size is slightly (very slightly) larger than expected but all that is needed is thicker socks. Product was delivered in 3 short days without any expedited charge. I will definitely order from Zappos again.

I got these in the gray. They are so cute, and comfortable right out of the box. They seemed to run a bit big (I wear 9½ in most shoes, the 9 in this is roomy), if you are on the fence with your size choice.

When I first ordered these shoes I got the women's size 10. They turned out to be way too big on me (being a regular 10 in every shoe I own). I exchanged them and wound up getting the woman's size 8 and they fit perfectly. There must be some differences on the Dr. Martens shoe size compared to the Zappos one. After I finally got the right size, I was so happy with my purchase. They look true to picture and are one of the most rad pair of boots I own. My heel rubs against the back of them sometimes, but if you wear thicker socks it's not noticeable.

These shoes are so cool! But don't let the photo provided fool you, I was expecting a rather bright red, but these are more burgundy/maroon. They're very thin, and light. Much more of a summer shoe.

Though they're not listed as vegan explicitly, I contacted Dr Marten's support team and was told that the only reason they're not vegan is because they can't confirm the glue holding the shoes together doesn't contain some contamination with animal byproducts. I could live with that, so I ordered the shoes. Unfortunately, they were too small. I'm a size 14, so that's what I ordered, but they're more like a 13 or 13.5. I couldn't wear them, so I had to return them.

I ordered this boot as my first pair of Dr Martens, and appreciated that they were vegan. I loved the canvas and clean look of the shoe. They were comfortable and complemented most outfits. I traveled with them a bit and they held up mostly. My only complaint about them, is after a year of normal wear, the seam near the toe ripped on one shoe as if someone had taken a box cutter to the seam (the other followed suit a few months later). I got a few more months out of the pair by having them repaired at a cobbler, but the tops of the toes eventually just wore and discolored when they were wet. Otherwise, the sole, laces,and upper part of the shoe were still in great shape. I've bought another pair of Docs and hope they are more durable.

These shoes look great. These shoes are not crazy comfortable but get the job done. But I have been wearing them for about 2 months now and the inner linings are already falling apart. I was expecting better quality from Doc but I was disappointed.

I bought these shoes last October thinking they looked pretty cool. The sole is relatively uncomfortable and the ankle part of the shoe tends to pull together. I prefer my the tongue of the shoe down but this one wouldn't remain low. You can definitely find better choices for the price.
