Length wise these shoes fit me perfectly. As a hater of all things girly, I greatly appreciated the the style and color of the boots. I also liked the wider than normal toe box; however, they were almost too wide. The deciding factor for me was the lacing system. Without hooks at the top, I wasn't easy to get my heel and ankle properly locked in, which meant my foot slid around quite a bit when I walked. These boots could also benefit from more cushioning/better design in the back area that hugs the achilles. I tried them on with smartwool hiking socks and could still feel a seam or something in the back of the shoe rubbing my achilles the wrong way. All I could think was "Future blister..." The search for perfect hiking boots continues.

I have worn my Moraines daily for well over 15 months, hiking, yard work, errands, working, all day, every day. I wear orthotics so have given up on other shoes. Very bad feet. I need to replace them and will not hesitate to buy another pair.

The shoe is lightweight and very comfortable. Did not require break in for longer hikes.

These hiking boots didn’t dig into my ankles compared to Merrill which I returned. These look like sneakers but serve as hiking boots. Colors are neutral. The boot itself is not heavy when walking. Solid construction

Very light shoe, but also sturdy which is perfect for hiking. They fit very well. I was concerned because an 8.5 can sometimes be a little tight and a 9 too big, and i didn’t want to deal with either scenario on a hike. I went for the 8.5 and they really fit perfectly, with a little room for a good sock or for the inevitable foot swell when walking all day. I still must break them in. But so far they are great.
