I absolutely love my new Breville blender. It was money well-spent, no doubt. I knew that to do what I wanted to do, make smoothies and nut milks, crush ice and stuff like that, I was going to have to have a blender with some heavy-duty power. I had burned up a couple of blenders in the past, so that's just money down the drain. I had heard of Vita-Mix brand, that it is really good, so i started shopping there. OMG! They cost so much more than I imagined. So I kept looking. I have a Breville juicer and it's so great, so, knowing that, I had some confidence. My blender has enough power to do everything I want it to do. It is very well-made, cleans up super easy. I can set it to run and walk away too. Best of all, if it starts to get too hot (which it never has) it has an auto shut-off feature. I LOVE IT!! PS, dealing with Zappos has been a real pleasure too.

Best blender I've ever owned in my life! After my Oster broke (right after the warranty expired, just like the last time!) I finally realized "Gee maybe I shouldn't buy another Oster!" I researched forever before purchasing my next blender. I didn't want to spend $500 but I thought I should be willing to spend a little more for a better brand. I read many reviews and kept coming back to the Breville. I cringed a little to upfront this much money, but now I don't regret it. This is the best money I've ever spent on a small appliance. The blender is sturdy, extremely easy to clean (I just blend it with soapy water immediately after use and it gets squeaky clean) and my favorite feature is I can walk away from it while it's working! Anyhow, I guess I've made my point.

This blender is the panacea for those who don't want to worry about getting their fingers cut on blades. Breville is superb at designing equipment that is user friendly, sleek and comfortable. I love the fact that I don't have to reach into the blender to retrieve the blade before I pour, nor do I have to remove the blade from the glass/plastic jar before washing. But best of all, I don't have to stand over the blender and hold down a button while it blends. Instead, the blender automatically turns off after 60 seconds, allowing me to attend to other cooking matters while the blender is working. I use the blender for making smoothies which have come out very nicely. The jar is light and easy to handle. I truly love this blender which is suited for a person who cannot lift heavy jars nor wants to be bothered with touching dangerous blades. Good work, Breville!

We bought this model becauase we owned a previous model and were extremely pleased with it. We make smoothies every day from frozen fruit and it is strong enough and powerful enough to puree it. We love the smoothie setting. The previous model gave us years of service and we don't mind buying another one!

Fantastic blender. Solid construction, engineered to last for years. Was hesitant spending this much but it is very well worth it. Blade design works great, Smoothie button is perfect.

If you are deciding which blender you want to buy, and don't want to spend as much as a Vitamix costs but want a better value than your last blender that crapped out, this is your blender. It can make smoothies in the touch of a button and uses different speeds to immerse the ingredients together so you can walk away from it. No need to open the top and scrape the sides. You can grind coffee beans in it. I hear you can make almond butter with it, although I haven't tried that yet. I have made multiple smoothies in this blender - it is a great choice for that. I put in a frozen banana, apple, yogurt, almond milk and almonds, and it tastes great. If you like your smoothies very smooth and not chunky, you can always blend for more time on one of the different settings, such as puree or liquify. You won't find the red color of this blender in stores. I checked multiple websites for store availability and it seems stores only carry the silver color. I love this blender! I make a smoothie for breakfast every morning. Often times the ingredients are frozen so they need more muscle to blend. This blender has an outer blade and an inner blade that really get the job done. The outer blade covers a wide diameter that cheaper blenders don't have. I also like the auto settings and timers. While others boast of the smoothie button, my favorite button is the purée button. It is more powerful than the smoothie setting and makes smoothies extra smooth and creamy tasting. This was my first ever higher model blender, and I couldn't be more pleased.

Fantastic blender. Truly one of the best blenders I've ever seen. It has a 'smoothie' button, which at first I thought was stupid - but it actually works. Dump everything into the blender, hit smoothie and it has a pre-programmed 60 second blender variation to mix, crush the ice and combine all ingredients. I would highly recommend this. I was considering the Vitamix, but am really glad I tried this one, because I haven't looked back and saved a lot.

I love this blender! Never knew an appliance could give me so much joy. It is music to my ears. I live in a city and it was important to me to buy a blender that didn't make everyone around me hate me since I use it every morning. It doesn't wake up my roommates and so far it has made amazing smoothies and bean dips. Easy to clean. So glad I bought it. Well worth the price. I've had it for about two months. It does seem very sturdy but we shall see! My Cuisinart fell apart on me after two years of pretty consistent use, but the blade on the Breville is designed much better than my $60 Cuisinart.

I had never even heard of this brand before reading the reviews on Zappos - and they were absolutely right. Best blender I've ever used. No leaks, easy ice crushing/smoothies - VERY happy w/ this!

I love this Blender. I make smoothies. Made ketchup the other day. Had trouble with the first one and Zappos sent me a replacement the next day. Great place to buy stuff! Customer service is excellent.

This blender is great and works well (Please read booklet before using). If you are looking at the high end blenders (Vita Mix), why spend a lot when this is half the price. I have read that people are having problems with lid and blender turns off then restarts (read this on You Tube), I don't find the lid difficult; yes, you have to make sure it is secure but lifting it off with the round tab is made easy also when it turns off and then comes back on, this is a safety feature and restricts wear on the motor so that it doesn't overheat. It is quiet, lightweight and easy to clean. Worth every penny. Also you can check out America's Test Kitchen on You Tube which was very helpful for me when making decision to buy a new blender. Puree function works beautiful. I had to have this feature as I am scheduled to have jaw surgery and need to puree my food for a couple of weeks. As always Zappos is great! Always speedy delivery and wonderful at accepting returns. I always shop with them.

This blender is as advertised. It crushes ice with no effort and cleans up quickly. I've made drinks, sauces, smoothies, you name it. It is worth the extra money.

Best blender I've ever owned or used. I thought the price was high but had read a lot of positive reviews elsewhere so decided to splurge, after all it isn't as high as some blenders. We use is mostly for smoothies but it also crushes ice so as the heat rises I can see us eating sno-cones. This is a well built, solid machine. The plastic pitcher feels light but very superior to most plastic blender pitchers. It is easy to clean and can't leak, the blades and bottom are integral with the pitcher so leaks should not happen. The digital controls are timed so the motor only runs for 60 seconds or less at one time. The lid is flexible like rubber and when pushed down to the closed position will not pop off. But the feature that really WOWED us was the electric plug, it is very unique, i wish all appliances had this design, hard to describe but there is a big hole you put your finger thru to pull and disconnect from the wall socket. Also there are no raised buttons so it is easy to wipe the base off and keep it clean.

Excellent blender for smoothies. It blends the thick and chunky ingredients very well. The blades really do help bring the bigger pieces down to blend. I am very happy with it so far.

Wow! It does exactly what it is supposed to do. I have had Cuisinart and Kitchenaid blenders and they both ended with burned motors. And when making smoothies or shakes, it was a stop and stir process every time. Now, you just add the ingredients and it does everything for you. The panel is simple, a timer so it stops when the smoothie is ready and it does this full throttle thing first then pulsates to really mix it up from top to bottom to insure it all gets blended. No lumps. It is costly but definitely worth it. I would do again in a heart beat. Also, as far as the noise factor....its a blender. But not as loud as three others I have had.

The thought of spending so much on a blender bothered me, but I've gotten tired of replacing cheap ones time after time. This blender, although still pricey in my opinion, is awesome! I've used it mostly for protein shakes and smoothies and it performs wonderfully. No need to shake up the contents or scrape the bottom. The jar part is some kind of plastic (I know it says it somewhere in the description), which is good because it is not as heavy, nor is it as breakable. It is relatively quiet (compared to my jet-engine Cuisinart smart duet) and the programs are handy. I think this is a good middle ground between Walmart and Vitamix.

Spent some time researching blenders, this one is a great price and works like a champ. Bought two as my Daughter uses all the time. If you don't want to spend a ton of money and want a great blender this is the one!

I thought this was a good machine until it failed the week after the warranty was up. It still runs but the button must be held down. Because I use a blender to make smoothies and almond milk, I decided to invest in a Vitamix. The power difference and blending capabilities is like night and day. I have always liked Breville but wish I had saved my money here and gone for the best right from the start. I would be money ahead. The Breville has a one year warranty, the Vitamix has seven years.
