These shoes are definitely a statement! I get compliments each time a wear them. They are ultra light and great for bootcamp class and running. I don't wear them for other types of classes that require lateral movement just because of the tread. It took a while to get used to the "laces"...I still don't know if I've really figured it out but I don't mind it. Overall, a great shoe.

My usual shoe is the Salomon XA pro, I was looking for a slightly lighter weight Salomon, and ordered the Mission. these are Salomon-sized that is for most runners they will seem about 1/2 size larger than say an Adidas. the heel pocket seems a bit deeper than the XA pros, with a wide enough forefoot, but otherwise the fit seems reasonable close to the XA pros. i have only been out running in these up to 2 hrs or so at a time (in some snow, some mud), but they are billed as a short to medium distance shoe, so that is probably within their intended use. I have fairly high arches and don't need or want extreme motion control and these shoes do not seem to be over-structured. I have worn Salomons for a number of years, and i am happy to add these shoes to my Salomon shoe quiver.

After years of suffering in other shoes, I will never ever go back! I am buying my second pair already. I love these shoes. I have a bunion on my right foot and as a result for the past year I was getting numbness in my toes from my Nike's and my Adidas shoes--I went to get my foot professionally sized, and was recommended to try this particular shoe because it has something called Sensi-Flex on the sides of the already-wide toe bed. Boy, what a difference this sensi-flex makes. For the first time in two years I was able to hike and walk 4 miles with no pain and no numbness! If you have foot issues, give these a try--I highly recommend.

I bought the first pair in December and have been wearing them ever since. Ordered 2 more in fun colors. I work as a hair stylist and average 10 to 14 hours a day on my feet plus walk an additional 10 miles a week for exercise and these shoes have been fabulous!

I knew as soon as I put them on, I loved them. It is a great shoe, comfortable, lightweight and provides plenty of support on trail or road. For Salomon shoes I go by the EUR size. If you haven't bought Salomon's before, size down 1/2 size.

Just received shoes. So excited to wear them and pulling them out of the box I just knew they were going to be too big. I'm a true 7.5 and these buggers were huge even with thick socks on! They fit more like a 8.5. I'm returning for a 6.5 and we'll see if the shoe fits.

I had these sneakers in the bright aqua (celadon) color, and just love them - they are a really fun color combination, but more importantly, they are the most comfortable sneakers that I have ever owned. Also, the lacing system, while taking a bit of getting used to, is a great idea, it works well, and you do not have to deal with laces flopping around. A very clean look. Anyway, the thing is with that aqua color combination, it kind of screams! I found myself in Oxford, England, wearing them for comfort, but feeling quite loud. A quick look on Zappos showed that they had them in a nice subtle black. They are every bit as comfortable as my first pair. And as someone who hovers between a 9 and 9½, the 9 is still the better fit. I could not recommend these shoes enough!

I have a hard time finding shoes since I wear a size 12, normal width with a high arch. These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, and I like the colors. There was no break-in time with these. They instantly felt like they belonged on my feet the first time I put them on. The cushion perfectly wrapped around my foot providing support just where its needed. I've had these for about a month and log between 40-50 miles a week while hiking, running both outside and on the treadmill, and walking my dog everyday and so far they're holding up great. I think I'll be ordering these shoes again and sticking with them for quite some time.

These shoes were everything I was expecting. Very comfortable for day long wear and power walking. The wide toe box is what I need and it doesn't disappoint. Have had them for approximately 1-month now and they are great!

I love it from first look and try! Very light! I have ton of compliments on it! Beautiful color and very easy on and off. I'm pregnant and was looking for something fashionable and comfortable at same time, got it all!

I love these shoes! I initially was drawn in by the looks but was skeptical because I have never owned a pair of Salomon shoes. Well turns out these are the best shoes I have ever owned! I am so glad I found them! An added bonus is that I get compliments on them all the time! I have never had a pair of shoes that draw as much attention as these do! Love them! I'm thinking of going ahead and buying a second pair.

These are really cute bright shoes. I love the toe bed in these shoes. It is nice and wide. I feel like my toes can still grip and move around how they are meant to. The only thing I do not like is the heel to toe drop. I am not used to so much of a drop or so much heel in my shoes. I really prefer less shoe for my workouts. If I was making a decision based on style I would rate these a five. These are super comfortable, I am just not sure that they would be my first or second choice for running.

Although most Salomon shoes run 1/2 size small, these XR Mission W seem to run true to size. A bit more arch support is needed and since the toe box is nice and wide, there is plenty of room to accommodate custom orthotics. My heels are narrow and these hold them in place nicely. I returned the 9.5 for a 10, and as usual, Zappos' customer service is above and beyond the rest!

The color is amazing and I get lots of comments on how cute they are. The only negative is that I have skinny little feet and they're swimming inside the shoes.

These shoes are super good looking and I really want to love them, but they are pretty awful for anything more than just bopping around town! The lacing system is terrible and every time I've worn them for running/power walking I've developed blisters on the back of my foot where the top of the shoe rubs me raw. The heel box is very deep and the top of the shoes hits at the achilles tendon area and is very uncomfortable. I've added heel pads to lift my foot a bit higher to stop the rubbing, but it didn't help. Sad, because I really wanted to love these shoes. Guess I'll just be wearing them for short trips or around the house.

Love the look and footbed, but had some heel slip. Do not like the quick lace system. Maybe I was doing it wrong. The instructions are not very helpful, just pictures. You have to stuff the excess lace up into a little slot on the tongue. If you are trail running, it seems risky that the lace ends could fall out of the stash and trip you up!

This is my first pair of Salomon's since their 'prototype' that they introduced in the late '90s. I returned that pair as the fit was too wide for my foot & the cord laces wouldn't tighten snugly enough as a result. While at a trail race last year, a Salomon rep convinced me that the design has come along way since they, so I gave them a 2nd chance. The fit is much improved & I love the comfort of the integrated tongue or sock fit! Downsides are that there are hot spots and I've blistered, even on short runs. The arch support is also a bit much for me even though I have a high arch. Unfortunately this pair has been relegated to being a flashy pair of street kicks for me.

I have been buying this brand for years now. I think they have changed how they are made. No support. Like walking on flat surface. I walk all the time and my older ones (still) have more support than these. I got them as a present for Christmas, so I will be keeping them. I won't be buying this brand again. So sad too. I like the style but must have support.

I am another satisfied Zappos customer. I had purchased two other pairs of Solomon shoes. Love the fit and the no tie feature of the laces. This pair is extremely colorful as well as comfortable. I get lots of positive comments on them at the gym. Great for work outs and just walking around town.

I love my new Solomon XR Mission W! I run on the trails close to my home but to get there I have to run on the street and so far they have been great on both surfaces. I did find them a little difficult to get my foot into but once on they are so comfortable you don't really mind the struggle to get into them.

I took these puppies out for a tame trail run and liked the wide toe box. The quick lacing system is a great thing and a strong selling point for all Salomons. The feel very light for a trail shoe (especially when compared to my others). I bought a half size bigger and probably didn't need to but I like the down hills and the extra room keeps my toes from hitting the end. I like my shoes roomy and these felt roomy. You may not need to size up. It depends on your preference. I love the shoes and look forward to longer runs in them! Love the look too!

I love these shoes! They are easy on/off. They have a wide toe box, great traction, and dry quickly. I have very wide feet so my little toe gets slightly squished on a long run. They are totally worth the price. It seems like they will last, too.

I love my Salomons, I wouldn't run in anything else. My favorite thing about Salomons is that they keep the footbed consistent. I have been running in these for almost 10 years, I can comfortably run in them right out of the box.
