Husband has flat feet that over-pronate and has to wear orthotics (wears Asics with custom molded orthotics per our Podiatrist's recommendation). But he needed something for when he's home and his feet are fatigued -- and he can slip on rather easily. He tried Birkenstocks but they were too rough and stiff. He also tried the thong version of these sandals, and the little bit between the toes bothers him (generally speaking with thong sandals). Also, he's got slightly wide feet with not a lot of volume (sort of "skinny" feet if that makes sense). In regular shoes, his feet are prone to blisters from all of the movement and too much room. Oh, and one more thing: he wears between a 12.5 and 13 (may not seem significant sounding, unless one is the shoe wearer), and the 12 fit fine (in this large men's size, many shoe manufacturers do not make half sizes in this range; this sandal does not, though I don't know if this is true for their entire line). All that to say that he does not have any issues with these. The arch support is enough to give him what he needs without his orthotics. Bottom line: he is very pleased as he says these are extremely comfortable. Yay.

Since birth, I've had a problem with heavy pronation. I'm now 53 and having a real problem with my feet. My feet are so pronated now that if I walk through a puddle of water in bare feet, my wet foot print looks like a club foot made it. My arches completely touch the ground. I also love summer time and we go boating on the Colorado river and lakes several times a summer. It had gotten so bad with my old Teva sandals that I wasn't sure what I was going to do this season. It's almost impossible to keep my Nike shoes that I wear with orthotics with dry, and who wants to wear shoes in the summer on a river vacation? I loved my Teva sandals, but they just didn't have the support I now need. I googled what the best sandals are for pronation and ended up on the Zappos website. These sandals saved my summers. I love them! The relief I get from these sandals are amazing. I was reluctant at first due to the price, but they are easily worth every cent. My wife has issues with her feet as well, but totally different. She has high arches, but a problem with her big toe which is now arthritic. She bought a pair of Flip flop orthaheels, and it's given her some relief as well. If you don't have foot issues then sandals like Teva work great, but if you have foot issues and still want to wear sandals, then look no more. Oh and these have a nice vibram sole that works just like my old sandals I had for over 10 years on my boat. You can get these wet all day long.

I've been a fan of Orthaheel flip flops for years. They are without a doubt the most comfortable shoes I own. The Orthaheel Boyes definitely lived up to my expectations. The footbed is excellent, and the shoes are actually wide enough for me. All women's Orthaheel styles are too narrow for me, but since these are men's they fit perfectly.

Great sandals with awesome arch support. I am a woman that wears a size 13AAA in women's shoes, so finding anything in my size is difficult. (I have to buy men's shoes for running, golf, and hiking. Orthaheel doesn't even make my size, so I ordered this shoe - Boyes - and the Mick, at the same time. I kept this model because it is not as bulky in overall size or appearance, and looks more appropriate on a woman's foot. I've worn them once already and they are very comfortable. I have another pair of Orthaheel sandals (Kiwi) that are extremely comfortable, too.

Really adjustable on many levels...you can adjust at the ankle, heel, toes. So you can have a perfect fit, no matter what is going on with your feet or activity level for the day and adjusts if you are having swelling issues.

I will try to be as concise as possible. I had achilles tendon surgery three years ago on my left leg. Arthritis growing in my middle joint on my right foot. I purchased very expensive prescription orthopedic inserts to relieve the pain in my legs and rectify my gate. Enter Orthaheel. From the day I put on the shoes, I felt my back realign, I have a normal gate and the pain in my right foot is very manageable. Now I need to move south so I can wear them year round.

These are the only sandals I have been able to wear even while walking for exercise. I haven't been able to wear sandals for several years due to the fact that I have a wide toe bed, narrow heels, and a very high arch. Other sandals gave me pain and I had to wear tennis type shoes with spenco orthotics. Not any more. I ordered these in mens because the womens shoes are too narrow in the toe bed. I have been wearing them all spring and summer and love them.

I had been suffering from serious heel pain (plantar fasciitis) for several months when I purchased these sandals. Podiatrist visits had failed to do much good. From the first day I wore my Orthaheel sandals, I was able to walk with little or no pain. After a month wearing them, my plantar fasciitis has improved greatly. I highly recommend these sandals for anyone suffering from plantar fasciitis!

Bought these for my 11 year old son who wears a mens size 8. Perfect for him to play in and comfortable for walking. He has pronation so it is hard to find shoes that look his age and are comfortable. These work perfectly - a little expensive.

Recommended by my podiatrist as the only sandal I could wear to avoid constant foot pain. Able to wear all day from first wearing. Extremely comfortable; no pain. Perfect choice for me. I will try Orthaheel walking shoes next.

I love these sandals. I have a foot problem of overpronating. They are very comfortable. If you are interested in these shoes get them from Zappos. Thanks for your service ZAPPOS.

Loved these so much that I ran out and bought the sneakers, and insoles. They have made a huge difference. I walked all over the NOLA Jazz Fest for 2 days without pain. The rest of my body ached, but my feet were in heaven.

These sandals appear to have great arch support, just what I was looking for. But, I feel these sandals lack sufficient cushioning or any type of support to keep my feet from sliding off the footbed on the outer side. It would be great if they offered these in wide sizes as well.

This is very disappointing if you've worn an Orthaheel thong flip flop. I always wear a custom orthotic in my shoes, and the Orthaheel flips have a wonderful high arch that makes the orthotic unnecessary. It's shocking therefore that these Vionics have arches that are lower than the flip flops. They offer barely any support. I returned mine.

I have PTTD so I pretty much live in vionics. My go to was the Muir. And then they quit selling them! This is pretty much the same style. A little more bulked up. I called and asked how to size a men's when you wear women's. They were very helpful. I ordered these men's sandals according to their specs. What can I say? I love them so far. I have a bone spur/bunion on one toe, and the strap adjusts nicely. They are very supportive in the arch - which is where I need it. I still have my Muir sandals and they will be my gardening/river sandals. I can't say anything bad about these. remember to ask how to transpose the size to women's if you are a female.

Awesome. Great for plantar fascitiis! Great arch support. If you have wide feet i'd recommend ordering a whole size up. 9 3E fits a 10 here - if fact maybe a tad too narrow but still great.

The Boyes sandal turned out to be a great slipper (that's right) for me during 2 spine surgeries I had during 2015. For walking anywhere in the hospital or rehabilitation unit I had to have some slipper socks on. I can't tolerate those for walking, I need support for my arches. These sandals are easy to get on with the reacher stick tool I have to use to avoid bending. They pasted the therapists requirements. They are quite comfortable with the padding and easy to adjust to no or any socks. My surgeon even said they were good choice for walking.

Zappos is a wonderful way to buy shoes. The order process is easy, their availability is very good and shipping is very fast. If you have arch or heel issues I highly recommend Vionic products with Orthaheel technology. The sandals are fabulous.

There are three straps and like other reviewers, the strap over the instep was not long enough. I was ready to send the sandals back, which was disappointing because they are very comfortable. Looking at them more closely, I realized the heel strap was pulled as tightly as it would go. Once I noticed this strap was so tight, I could see that it was forcing my foot an inch or more too far forward, which is what made the strap over the instep not seem long enough. I loosened the heel strap so that my foot rode further back and suddenly I was able to close the strap over my instep. The sandals fit and work perfectly now.

These became my favorite shoe the first time I put them on. After hours and days of walking all over Walt Disney World my feet were never sore or uncomfortable. The only quibble I have is the tab on the heel strap does not lie flush and occasionally snags partially disconnecting the velcro.

I have very high arches, and these sandals are, hands-down, the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I wear them around the house constantly and I dread putting on any of my outside shoes when I need to leave... I also have a pair of Vionic flip flops, but these are better because there's no fabric between the toes. I ordered a pair of their orthotics too, but they felt quite different- too much of a cupped heel.
