When I bought these I was a bit apprehensive about the whole No-Edge thing, but I will have to say these shoes earned my admiration fast. You wont have that grip of a crisp edge on a brand new, aggressive, regular sole climbing shoes, but its pretty close. However if you compare no edge shoes to regular soles after, say a month and a half of regular use, they will provide a much more consistent experience throughout their lifespan. I've had mine for about 2 months now and though the shoes have been broken in, toe grip is essentially unchanged. The last feels pretty good for my relatively wide feet. The heel feels great, especilly compared to shoes like the La Sportiva Solutions. Toes have decent coverage for toe hooks as well

One of the best shoes on the market. Sensitive, precise and comfortable. These shoes climbs super well whether its a gym climb or a Yosemite granite climb. The No-Edge feature and fit of this shoe make it one of my favorite softer shoes.

These are the best shoes I've ever owned. Not too Soft and not too stiff. Confident edging, toe hooks, Heel hooks and everything in between. I've found the shoe I'll continue to use over and over again!

The Futura are my go-to shoes for hard boulders and lead projects ! I have these shoes for over 9 months and really love them! The no-edge technology brings my toes much closer to the rock compared to regular climbing shoes. This allows me to transfer the power directly through my toes onto the rock and not onto an artificial edge, which could bend or collapse. Their sensitivity makes my foot movements more precise and safer. The shoes are built with the P3 midsole, which retains its shape easily under pressure. The Velcro lacing system is perfect for stepping in and out of them easily without compromising the tight fit. You should try these shoes outside or inside! You will not regret it!

I purchased these a month ago after finally destroying my beloved Pythons. I was hesitant to invest in the No-Edge technology for a high-level climbing shoe but the Futuras performed exceedingly well right out of the box. I put them to the test on some difficult slab climbing at the New River Gorge and was surprised at how well I could edge on the rounded no edge. I'm a huge fan of soft-soled shoes and the ultra-comfortable midsole fit my arch right away. For reference, I wear 37.5 in these and most other LaSpo shoes, so the sizing is on point for me.

Best shoe for bouldering/sport climbing. I love everything about the shoe and the aggressive-ness is perfect. Another great feature a lot of people over look is the resole options. They come back with La Sportiva soles, so brand new rubber with the comfort of your worn in shoe.

Just got my first pair of Futuras a couple months ago. For steep routes were you need to be able to spear on impossibly bad holds or use your feet like hands to create body tension the Futuras are amazing. With these shoes you can set it and forget it. Never have to worry about your foot blowing off a bad hold again. These shoes are fairly soft so they are best suited for steeper climbing.

I've been a fan of no-edge shoes since the original Speedster, and the Futura builds on the great performance of that shoe by adding more support under the toe and the ability to adjust the fit via the speed adjust strap. The sole design allows you to feel out footholds like none other, and you can make micro-adjustments to really lock the toe positioning in place. Still soft and flexible enough to get tons of rubber contact on big holds and features. The neoprene tongue combination with the velcro strap works well to lock down the heel and adjust the tension of the shoe on the top of the foot. Sizing - Street shoe size is 44, sized these down to a 41. For LS shoe comparison, I size Solutions at a 41 and Skwamas at a 40.5.

Bought these shoes a will back to try on the dolomite around Lander WY. They did really well in the thin pockets at Wild Iris. I think the best test has been the slick smeary edges in Sinks Canyon. These shoes hold their ground on the slick little bumps. So if you are looking for a shoe for steeper polished limestone, give these a shot. Have ran into at least 3 others that agreed. I sized them the same as my Skwamas.

Im 16 yo and street shoe size 44, I got these in 41 1/2 and they fit like a dream, the are obviously not going to perform as good as my size 40 solutions, but extremely comfortable for long sport routes and excellent toe and heel hooking

Climbed all night in these at a shoe demo, I sized up a bit from my muiras so that I could easily flatten my feet on volumes and mantles, and even straght on the wall, and these just STUCK. it was great! Will be buying these shortly for swapping in for routes like that. My most common worn street shoe is a 42.5(us9) and my muiras are 39s(us6), I wore a 40 and 41 of these and much preferred the 41s(they were used so already broken in and stretched) but theyre VERY soft so the rubber will wear through quicker than others without good footwork.

Easily the best shoe I've ever worn. I have narrow toes and a less than normal pronounced heel and the shoe fits like a glove, I'd say my arches are a little higher than average but the closure system easily sucks up the bottom of the shoe. Comparable to the drago with a better fit, heel and last. I climb this shoe two days on for about 4 hours per day and one off and got a toe hole in the right shoe after about 4 months as well as the rubber is separating from the leather above the toes where you would use it to toe hook and this started about three months into use. Other than that this shoe is super good from anything gently overhung to steep cave problems. Best shoe all around to date and I've got two more pairs coming in the mail! Exceptional for comps and comp style boulders, training and outdoor boulders! My size in vans is a men's 11 and I wear a size 40 in this shoe, I size down an extra size from something like the Miura (41) because these are soft and will stretch a full size to fit. 10/10

The Futura is an amazing shoe. At first I didn't think I would like the edgeless technology, but it turns out I love it. One of the best features is the the show lasts longer before resoles. I don't know how this works, but I think it allows you to use more of the sole and not be dialed into one wear point. They are really soft and I can curl my toes around holds on overhangs to pull myself into and up the rock. My friend Juan even prefers them on harder Eldorado Canyon (CO) routes.

Amazing shoes! I have the Solutions as well. Both are perfect for different bouldering projects. I sented my V8 Orange Top Blue Sky at Calico Basin near Red Rock in Vegas. Will try to send more V8s and up with these.

Just bought these for my 13yo son...its his 4th pair of shoes in 5 years of climbing. My first choice were pythons, but I couldn't find any in his size. So we went with futuras. Futuras are a great high performance shoe for kids b/c they are still very soft. More structured shoes like the solutions reduce the amount of feel, and hinder the development of good footwork. Luckily, we knew his size because he's been wearing Sportiva for years. If you don't know your size, and you don't know how a climbing shoe should be sized, don't buy online. A poorly fitting rock shoe will ingrain bad habits in you that take years to break. Also, remember that Sportivas run narrow. If your feet are wider, I suggest 5.10s or Evolvs.
I'd also recommend:
5.10, Evolv

+ Simple closure that is easy to put on and take off + Good fit -- no points of discomfort or space in the heel + Heel hooks felt good and rarely unexpectedly popped out + Toe hooks felt great and never unexpectedly slid off > No notable changes to my footwork switching from traditional soles to no-edge soles - Sole adhesive was not properly applied to one of my shoes which led to premature and uneven wear - No-edge makes it difficult to know how close the shoe is to needing new rubber - No-edge may make resoling more difficult Verdict: I'm not impressed, but not disappointed either. I was expecting a little more change switching over from traditional soles to no-edge, but I found myself using these almost exactly like every other shoe I had previously owned. For reference, I was previously using Kubos and occasionally Solutions. I climb 5.11 outdoors. I think it's worth it to try out no-edge technology at least once, but don't expect some tectonic shift in your footwork unless you're a crusher who can understand the nuances of no-edge better than I.

This was my first "aggressive" climbing shoe and I have loved how it has advanced my climbing. I believe this is a unisex shoe which has been a problem for my narrow feet. Starting to notice as the shoe stretches with use that the heel box is slightly too big and slips on heel hooks. Love the no edge technology and how it allows me to stand on the tiniest of chips. Gorgeous design but a wider set shoe for sure, sadly.

Wanted to try this lacing system and no one in town carries these shoes. These shoes are super sensitive. I tried them on at home, stepped onto the laminate floor and could feel a pebble through the sole that I didn't even know was there. Great if you want a super sensitive, super flexible shoe, just not right for me. Sizing seems comparable to 5.10's and Evolv's.

I bought these a couple months ago and have been hoping they would break in but they don't budge and are unwearable. I measure a 12.5 us mens and the 46's feel like I am squeezing my foot into a 10. I literally cannot walk in them without getting blisters on the tops of my toes. How can such a prominant climbing company not offer sizes for larger guys?
