Best pair of khakis I've ever owned. In fact, probably the best pair of pants that have ever fit me. I'm 5'7" 145. Got the 30" waist which was true to size (no vanity sizing like Gap, Banana, any other mall brand, etc.). And as a bonus, they came in a size 29" inseam which I never find. No hemming necessary as is usually the case for me. I'm slim and muscular. I lift weights and cycle so my legs aren't by any means scrawny, but almost every other single pair of khakis or chinos that I've tried on have looked really sloppy. For reference, the slim-cut D1s by Dockers are only slim in the waist and totally would totally cover my entire shoe at the bottom. Not tapered at all. The Alphas are a completely different set of pants than the Alphas. The photographer slim cut pants at Express fit almost as good as these, but the quality of cloth is nowhere as good as the Alphas. The only thing I could fault these pants on are that they are not as "formal" looking as some other khakis. I think it's because of the jean-like stitching, the cotton weave and wash. They are stylish, however, and should pass in most offices and can seamlessly transition to after hours drinks. May not work in a conservative law or finance firm.

The Alpha Khaki by Dockers boasts that it's "Where jeans end and khaki begins." That's fair. I'd be more apt to call this a twill. If you're a fan of the Levi's 511 Trouser, you'll probably like these. The cut of these pants is slim, but by no means matchstick. It is a bit more tapered and tailored than the D1 Slim fit. These pants could definitely make the transition from office to happy hour, but they may be slightly too casual for a formal business environment.

Awesome pants. If you like the Levi 508 taper fit, these khakis are great. I would imagine these pants fit the slim build better. They fit comfortably around the waist and in the seat and taper down so that they rest above shoes. (Shows off your shoes nicely). Very unlike Docker's slim fit where the legs are straight and end almost in a boot fit. Very nice pants. I can imagine they will last me a long time and wear in very well.

Best pants in the world. Nice guy. Great materials. I wear these to class and to go out. Tons of compliments on them. I love how great they look with a polo and cashmere cardigan for running to class or lunch with friends or with a v neck tee for drinks and a night of dancing. Will 100% buy more! I highly recommend these to the college student crowd.

I liked these pants so much I had to buy them in multiple colors. They fit a bit more snugly than Dockers D1. These are made of jean like material, so not exactly the same as standard Dockers chinos. I like them nonetheless, and they look great at the office dressed up or down.

These pants are awesome! I bought them for my teenage sons (ages 14 and 17) and they wear them all the time. They are very sturdy and look good and fit great!

These pants are very nice. The fabric feels substantial but I wouldn't say thick. Construction is good for the price point. The fabric is not like denim as some have said. Its just a slightly thicker twill. The pair I received were tagged 31 x 32. The measurements I took laid flat are: 16" waist, 11.7" upper thigh(at crotch), 8.5" knee(13" down), and 7.4" leg opening. It was hard for me to find exact measurements for these before buying but I am happy that they fit well.

Like the other reviewer, I wear size 30 waist and 29 inseam and can never find this size in stores. I cant express how perfectly these pants fit and how great they look and feel.

Great Dockers pants, and hard to find in this color! This is my fourth pair of Alpha Khakis, in other colors, but the new white is fantastic. Saved at Zappos, and free shipping too! Arrived in less than two days, thanks Zappos, you guys are the best!

Best pair of pants that I have ever bought. They do walk that fine line of jeans and khaki. I can wear these to work or out. I truly do enjoy this pair of pants that purchased from zappos.

These are awesome pants. They are really thick cotton and the color is great. The only complaint I have is that the cut is much slimmer than I am used to but I'm gonna keep 'em!

These are overall a great option for an in-between pant, half chino half jeans. They are vanity sized and fit 2" larger than the stated size in the waist. Durability of the twill fabric is great as well. Keep in mind, while these are "slim tapered" they are not really that slim, just a regular fit with a slight taper below the knee.

I must say that this creation of Dockers have give me a reason to quit using jeans. They are true size, they fit perfectly and I have got plenty of compliments when I go for a quick drink or to enjoy a beer in front of the ocean at a nice restaurant at any place in new england. They are stylish and make you feel comfortably fit. I recommend this pants to any man that want to be up to fashion during summer. I have bought 2 more colors and I will continue until I have the whole collection. Zappos staff is the best staff related to online shopping.

My 15 year old son loves the pants. Stylish and good fit (they were available in 36 length for a 6'3 height).

After looking for these pants at other places and not finding my size, I found them at Zappos. They are comfortable for people with a slim build. They wouldn't work someone that's stocky. Because, I had to compensate for my waist, I had to exchange the first pair that I ordered. Zappos' even exchange policy was right on!! The second pair was a little roomy in the waist, but, other than that, they were a good fit.

Khakis/Dress Pants are all about finding a style that fits you. I have found that the Docker's Alphas fit me perfectly. They are not at all your dad's Dockers. They have a ton of great colors and a very modern fit. Highest possible recommendation.

Both of my sons (college age) love these pants. The fit is slim but not tight. They are easily dressed up or down and wash up very well. Nice option if you don't want to wear jeans out.

This is the best pair of pants that I have ever owned. I am a big guy. Normally when I get a pair of pants in my size (42) the legs look full and sloppy. The Alpha Khakis are fitted enough through the thigh and and leg to give a slim appearance, yet still are really comfortable. I was able to snag one pair in 42, but just found out that the largest size Dockers is going to make moving forward is 38.

The fabric is sturdy feeling, kind of more solid canvas more than light summery fabric. That feels durable. The stitching seems well done, and the fit is right on. I am about 6' and 185 pounds, fairly athletic - the 34 is loose in the waist but perfect in the thigh. Slim but not skinny, just as advertised. They do have a serious calf taper, so when I tug up on the lower part to pull my socks up, it is all I can do to pull them back down over my calves. Small complaint though, they look great and fit great.

I live in Hawaii and pretty much live in board shorts, jeans, tank tops, tees, and aloha shirts. Dressing up is not my thing but these pants are so right on you are dressed up while being dressed down! Very comfortable. Deep pockets and really super comfortable. Totally recommend for all occasions. Think I'll wear these on a cruise.

If you're in the market for slim fitting khakis with good quality materials at a reasonable price, look no more. This is my second pair of these khakis and they have withstood numerous washes without any noticeable changes to quality besides a softening of the fabric. They make excellent work wear apparel and work just as well for more casual purposes.

These pants fit me perfectly. Everytime I wear them every woman gives me the eye. The look good and are easy to take care of. Excellent pants.
