AMAZING coat!! I go to SUNY Oswego, and it is freeezzinggg up here. This coat is definitely warm enough and it's very stylish - far more so than the North Face coats I see around so often! This is an extremely well-made coat, and definitely worth every penny.

I am in love with this coat! I have avoided long hooded parkas for a long time because I'd yet to find one that didn't look like a walking sleeping bag. This coat solves all that - it looks so flattering on, feels well made, warm, and.. a big plus for me, the hood is sturdy (feels like there is an extra layer of lining) and doesn't fall down. The sizing was not an issue for me, I'm 5'4", 115lb, and I got a small...perfect!

I was really excited when I saw this jacket because it's super cute and looks just like some of the more expensive versions I've seen. I ordered the Medium and it was too small. I am 5'5" and wear a size 8 dress. It was especially snug in the chest and shoulders even with only a t-shirt on underneath. I also didn't really notice that it was a canvas/cotton material - I was looking for something made of nylon. Overall, it's very flattering on, a great length, and seems like it would be warm even though it's not very puffy!

I really like this jacket. It is pretty stylish for such a warm winter coat and I definitely think it will be warm enough for Boston winters. I was between sizes and ended up going with the larger size.

Really nice, well made coat. I'm 5'3" and 124lbs, and the small fit nicely with a little extra room; it's easy to move my arms around. It's not super slimming and I wish the waist were a little more shaped, but it's both a utility and fashion coat so that's to be expected I guess.

I am so impressed with Zappos. I cannot believe that it took me until now to discover with them! I ordered this coat after weeks of searching for a stylish winter coat that will keep me warm during the Wisconsin winters. I am 5'7" and 155 pounds. I ordered the Medium and it fits perfectly. I can wear a light sweater under it and I still have a shape! It feels warm and protects from the wind. I originally ordered the navy blue but returned it because it was so dark that it looked black, which I did not want. I then ordered the grey and loved the color. The inside lining is a deep blue which is a nice touch. I received my orders in one day, and the return was super easy! This is a great way to shop being a busy mom!

Runs small, size up if you want to wear anything more than a t-shirt. Great style. Don't know if it's winter warm yet, but will repost on that.

Have worn only a few times, but so far it has kept me very warm and I have gotten multiple compliments. I am 5'2 116lbs with a fairly small frame. I got the small and it fits well with a little space for bulky sweaters. My only issue is that I am short and of course it falls right above the knee instead of mid thigh like the model, but that is what comes with being petite. The only other thing is that it would be more figure flattering with a belt, but it does has a waist syncing elastics you can tighten on the inside.

This jacket is so warm! I live in Chicago where the wind is crazy and I feel nothing with this thing on. Roomy enough to layer and stylish enough to wear often. I've gotten a million compliments on it already. I rarely spend money on clothes and I'm 100% satisfied with this purchase.

I get tons of compliments on this jacket! The style is great and the fur hood is removable. I'm 5'7 and the bottom of the jacket hits right before my knees. It's actually very warm too! The zipper can by a little tough sometimes but not that big of a deal. I originally had ordered a small but had to return it for a medium because the chest area is really tight and the arms/sleeves are on the shorter side. Even with the size medium it's a little difficult to move my arms a lot.

Really really excited about this coat. I read every review on every site before I bought it. I am 5'3, 140 lbs with a large chest and the medium fit perfectly. I got the olive color which looks a little unusual on the site but in person is a perfect army olive green. It is pretty heavy but surprisingly flattering for the warmth it offers. My only complaint is the zipper! I had read some negative reviews which mention it but I thought I would take the risk. It is a cheaply made double zipper which is difficult to get started. Once you have it zipped up if you spread you legs even an inch the bottom half will pop open. But all in all this coat is a steal for this price, is warm and looks great on.

This coat seems very well constructed and good for cold winters. The hood is roomy and heavy! Unfortunately, the fit isn't perfect for me: tight in the shoulders and across the chest, but if I went up a size, it would be too big everywhere else. (I am 5'4" 130# with a large chest - I got a small.) I am keeping the coat because it fits the bill for commuting to work (via bus) in Boston, but I'll have to keep my ugly LL Bean puffer for shoveling snow, going to football games, outdoor play with my kids, etc.

Overall, it is a great coat. Not too heavy and it seems like it would be very warm. I am 5'10 at 140 lbs and it is too short in the sleeves and too tight around my hips. Sending it back. :(

I was looking for a coat that was casual enough to wear on the weekend yet nice enough for work, warm enough for snowy or icy days, and didn't look like a hooded sleeping bag. This coat fits the bill! Things I love about it, the tons of compliments I've received, how completely warm I am when I wear it, how true to size it was. I'm 5'4 inches and 110 pounds and the XS was perfect, and how huge the hood is, it doesn't blow off my head even in strong wind! The only drawback for me is the material, the cottony finish looks nice for a casual coat, but it attracts a lot of lint and gets a little bit wrinkly. It's also a bit stiff so it's not easy to, for instance, wave my arms around, but I don't find myself really needing to do that often. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Very heavy, thick coat. Will be perfect this upcoming Michigan weather. I'm 6'0 and a size 10. I bought a Large and its rather snug but not too tight. I'm thinking I can still layer without having to exchange it for an XL. The sleeves are a tad short but it has enough material to be let out. Very happy with this coat! Very feminine and stylish.

I ordered this coat in a size large based on another review. It is oddly snug in the shoulders but huge everywhere else. I usually wear a small or medium, I'm debating if I should try a smaller size.

The brown color is much darker then pictured, and a bit more olive. I am 5'10 and where a 12, the large fit well with room for a sweater, but the sleeves were too short. Going back.

Being familiar with Spiewak's history, quality and fit, I didn't hesitate to order this coat. I had an older Spiewak coat that I wore for years, and decided it was time for a new one, especially at a lower sale price. Per my expectations, this is well made, and the fit is spot on, although it was heavier weight than I expected. Which is just a bonus, since I won't have to wear lots of layers to keep warm. I'm 5'7" with an average build and I find the sleeve length to be spot on, chest is fine for me (I don't have a large chest, but average) so I can still wear a thicker sweater/sweatshirt if I wanted too, and the length is perfect. Overall, I'm very happy with my decision to purchase this great coat. Only complaint is the dry-cleaning label, but hey the color of dye is worth saving for a trip to the cleaners.

My daughter wanted this parka for Christmas and was leaving for England. What's a mother to do...Zappos saved the day with free next day shipping. From what I hear she loves the product! I will order again and again.

I love this jacket so much that I half-seriously considered buying a second one as a backup for when this one gets too old. It's warm without being too heavy and bulky, it feels well made, and it has two zippers so you can unzip it from the bottom, as well. I was worried, based on another review, that the medium ran small, but it seems to fit true to size.

I looked at far more expensive coats from tech-oriented brands like North Face and Marmot before looking into Spiewak on the recommendation of some friends. I am so glad I did! This coat is so much better looking than anything those brands had to offer and it's very well-made for the price. I am typically a small, but am tall with long arms, and the small is definitely made for someone more petite (short sleeves,) so I went with a medium. It's maybe a little frumpy, but I'll typically be wearing bulky layers with it, so it's just fine. While not actually waterproof, rain and snow seem to roll or brush off easily, and I have yet to get wet or soggy in it. It is super warm without being bulky. I've stayed warm on long dog walks in below freezing temps (and I am always cold.) My only complaints would be the hood and the neck snap. I had to take in the hood a bit, as it was so big that a gust of wind would take it right off. The fur trim is awkward, so I'm glad it's removable, but I wonder if it wouldn't have been awkward without the thick zipper to make it removable. The neck flap and snap are useless - it's hard to snap and the flap leaves a gap that makes a scarf necessary anyway. I wish the zipper just zipped all the way up. But those minor issues aside, I am so glad I bought this coat. I have gotten so many compliments on it and one of my coworkers ordered one for herself after seeing mine. I now know 3 other people who have this same coat, and we all love it. Thumbs up!

I love the quality and value of Spiewak and the fact that their stuff is more stylish than other parkas. However, the fit isn't as good as it could be. I'm usually a small, but the small feels tight across the top when I have it zipped up all the way and sit; I have to unzip it a bit. And the hood isn't made for long necks.

Love the style of this coat, and it looks really cute with everything. The only thing is the arms ran right in the medium and the large was way too big. I stuck it out with the medium because the coat was so cute and warm.

The jacket is great for style, comfort isnt so bad, It could be a tad more fitted. I stored for the winter and pulled out of the closet for this season and some fabric discoloration in the folds in creases of the pocket flaps.
